"The hotel is right in the city center, safe, clean, and very affordable during the off-season. It's really close to the Mountain Resort, just a short walk away. The lobby even offers hot tea, which is a really thoughtful touch. Charlie provided excellent and attentive service, and the front desk even gave us some snacks. Very satisfied!"

"Staying at Chengde Qiwanglou Hotel truly felt like a home away from home. First off, it's not a towering high-rise, which immediately gives it a cozy, homely vibe. Plus, the hotel doesn't cater to a massive number of guests, only about a hundred or so at most, meaning they can offer a more personalized and attentive service, or as I'd put it, 'meticulous care.' This included thoughtful touches like having snacks, candies, and refreshing drinks available at the entrance, and sewing kits and other small emergency items in the hallways of each building. From the moment you step in, everyone you encounter at this hotel actively engages with guests, listening carefully to their suggestions and needs. This level of personalized interaction is something I haven't experienced in hotels in recent years, and it's truly commendable. Guests who've stayed even just one day are greeted by the hotel's cat rubbing against their legs as soon as they walk in – it's incredibly heartwarming! The restaurant staff were all very dedicated, helping guests choose dishes and ensuring nothing went to waste, which was lovely. When they heard we enjoyed millet porridge, they even sold us some to take back to Beijing! One staff member, Zhi, proactively offered to buy us tofu (from Zhang Yu), which was a huge convenience. Mr. Yu Changhong (Xiao Yu) provides exceptional service, treating every guest like family, and truly fosters that 'home away from home' feeling. I do have a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could keep two electronic blood pressure monitors and phone charging cables on hand. When guests book a room, especially if they are elderly, it could be noted that a blood pressure monitor can be provided in their room, saving them the hassle of bringing their own. Having charging cables readily available would also alleviate any worries about charging phones."

"The hotel environment is really good. The front desk service was very thoughtful; they prepared a crib for our baby, and the lady at the front desk was always smiling when she spoke. It felt very warm and welcoming. We had an early departure the next day, and the front desk helped us prepare breakfast to go. The room was very clean, and the breakfast included coffee, bread, and even *hegele* noodles. Seriously great!"

"The service here is excellent, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. Although some rooms are a bit small, they promptly helped us switch to a larger, more comfortable room after we spoke with customer service. When we mentioned the shower water temperature wasn't quite right, they immediately adjusted it for us and even proactively arranged an additional room, showing great efficiency in problem-solving. Given the price, the facilities are practical rather than luxurious, but the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very pleasant stay overall. Any issues we had were resolved quickly, and the hotel's location is fantastic for easy travel. I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend it!"

The hotel's location is super convenient; you can walk to the Chengde Mountain Resort, and it's really easy to get to the Erxianju Night Market in the evening."

"The hotel facilities are complete, and they provide plenty of bottled water, even thoughtfully offering pear juice. Breakfast on the fourth floor is quite rich, and right outside the hotel is Chengde Feast. There are many surrounding malls and dining options."

The room was spotless and tidy, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable that I slept soundly all night. "Hotel is grand and new. Rooms are big and clean. Buffet breakfast has a lot of varieties and some menus change everyday. Staffs there are professional, nice and polite. Hotel also provide free entry couple to the spa wellness club adjoining to the hotel. We really enjoy the hotel services and facilities during the 4 days stay. We definitely will stay st this hotel if coming to chengde again. Strongly recommended!"

"Very satisfied. Because it was the off-season, the price was very cheap, making it excellent value for money. The hotel opened in October 2025. The lobby smelled wonderful as soon as you entered. The rooms were large and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. I ran into the same female staff member several times; she was always smiling, which made me feel happy. The breakfast was also quite delicious. There is a large private parking lot, suitable for those driving. Just remember, the road outside the hotel is a one-way street, friends! There's a sign at the parking lot entrance, but I didn't notice and drove the wrong way (⩌ - ⩌ )."
