"Absolutely thrilled! The courtyard room offers incredible value for money. The hotel is super comfortable and clean, with a unique garden landscape. The staff and guests are all very friendly and pleasant. The eight little cats at the hotel are incredibly cute! And there are deer too! There are many fruit trees, and guests can pick and taste the fruit. We had some small cherries, and the staff said the apricots would be ripe in about ten days. There are only two things that could be improved: I smelled someone smoking indoors, so please enhance patrols; and the peacock cage is too small, which isn't great for the animals. I'll definitely be back and will highly recommend it to my friends. A truly wonderful trip to Chengde!"

"I booked a double queen room for this trip, and honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but I was genuinely surprised the moment I opened the door. It's perfectly spacious for a family of four and more cost-effective than booking two separate rooms. The room was bright and roomy, and the cleanliness was impeccable. All the toiletries were disposable, which gave me peace of mind. The kids loved it too! The surrounding area is bustling with plenty of dining options. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"Great location! It's right next to the resort, so you can just walk over. Plus, being in the city means easy access to restaurants and places to explore.
The service was excellent. The staff were warm, generous, and incredibly attentive. We asked for directions to a restaurant, and they were so worried we might get lost that they actually walked us part of the way! I've never experienced that before, and it was truly touching.
One of the main reasons I choose Atour is their pillows – they're just like home, guaranteeing a perfect night's sleep.
The room was spotless and well-equipped. And when we checked out, they even gave us a few bottles of water for the road!
I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"

"Came to Chengde for a visit in between catching a basketball game in Beijing. Saw great reviews for Zhaofeng International on Trip.com, and it didn't disappoint! The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, with a clean and well-maintained bathroom that had a separate shower and toilet. My only minor complaint was that the shower water temperature tended to fluctuate. The breakfast area was huge, and the food was varied and tasty. It was easy to get a taxi from the hotel to various attractions. A slight bummer was getting soaked in a downpour when I went to the Summer Resort, but overall, it was a really good experience! 💟"

"Had a fantastic stay! The hotel staff were all incredibly professional and had excellent attitudes. The room was spotless and very tidy. The hotel breakfast was also delicious and offered a wide variety. There's a Chinese restaurant on the second floor where you can grab lunch and dinner.
The hotel's location is superb, very close to the Mountain Resort and other attractions. Right next to the hotel is a famous night market with a rich assortment of stalls. The restaurants nearby are also very comprehensive, offering a chance to try Chengde's local specialties."

"The room facilities are quite old and business-style. The bathroom is old and not very clean. The hotel's soundproofing is poor, which is a significant minus. The front desk service was okay. Upon arrival, there were no rooms available, so they adjusted the room and let me move in directly. The room had a bathtub, but I didn't use it. I had to stand in the tub to shower, which was not very convenient. For the price, I don't think the value is good.

"I stayed at the Puning Hotel for two nights and three days, and it was an amazing value. The hotel has a traditional Chinese garden style, making you feel like you've stepped into a secluded paradise. On the rooftop, I enjoyed coffee, a gentle breeze, mountain views, and the sight of the Chan Temple – a perfect blend of classical and modern. Traveling solo, I visited museums, paid respects at the Chan Temple, explored the local market, and even fed the hotel's pet deer. It was a beautiful way to enjoy some leisure time away from my busy work life. The front desk, room service, and dining staff were all excellent, and the owner was very kind. All in all, it was love at first sight.

"Excellent stay room 809! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful river view. The bed was cozy, the bedding was of good quality, and the room was quiet thanks to effective soundproofing.
What stood out most was the outstanding service. The front desk staff were always smiling, welcoming, and efficient, making every interaction pleasant. The tour desk was equally helpful and readily provided useful travel information and advice.
Breakfast was good, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. With its comfortable rooms, scenic views, and attentive staff, this is definitely a hotel I would recommend to self driving guest. Booking DiDi was easy to all attractions on our list but note that the Mountain Resort Scenic Area is not within walking distance. Do not miss the KangXi ceremony show which is magnificent knowing or not knowing the history."

GGuest UserWe hiked the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and chose this hotel to rest after the day. The accommodation is ideally located, right next to the entrance gate to the Wall. The host was very welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the beautiful photos you see of his establishment were taken by the host himself! Since we were there during the off-season and most shops were closed, the host offered to cook dinner and breakfast for us. He is a delicious cook. He also offers taxi services and was able to take us to Gubeikou train station the next morning for our return trip to Beijing. We are extremely grateful for this wonderful stay in Jinshanling and would gladly return!

GGuest UserLove their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles.
The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather.
The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing.
Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!

MMeiyouruguo1992This was my second stay at the hotel. Wulingshan Aranya has added a lighthouse park and a mountain-view restaurant, making it great for families with kids. Right behind the hotel, there's another restaurant and a grassy play area. For breakfast, you can choose from different options. We stayed two nights, so we tried Xiaoye's Japanese breakfast once and Shiwei Shangu's Chinese breakfast once, both of which were quite good. The complimentary public hot spring was also a nice touch, and it wasn't crowded, so the experience was pleasant. My only minor complaints are that the hotel's shuttle service is infrequent, leading to long waits during peak hours, and the staff's attitude wasn't as warm as during my previous visit. Also, we had to specifically ask for the raindrop cake and matcha experience, which wasn't offered as enthusiastically as before.

DdavidetravelsWe had a perfect stay at the Tuke Light hotel. The hotel was conveniently close to the railway station, as well as to several bus stops, which we could use to get around town. The room was comfy, clean, modern, and everything worked just as expected. We used the complimentary laundry facility, and also there everything was new and clean. The hotel staff was the perfect addition to this already good hotel: they were kind, helpful, and went out of their way to help us have a pleasant stay and enjoy as much time as we could in Chengde. Really recommended!!

🇬🇧We stayed here for three days and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was very warm and homely, which made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay.
The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were always willing to help with any requests and made us feel well taken care of.
Our room was the smallest one available, but it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The property itself is quite spacious, with two lovely courtyards where guests can relax. Barbecue facilities are provided, and there are plenty of tables and chairs, making it a great place to spend time with family or friends.
The swimming pool was a bit too cold for our liking, but that was not a big issue 😊
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to others.

Наш номер был самым маленьким, но при этом очень уютным, чистым и комфортным. Территория большая и ухоженная, есть два дворика для отдыха. Гостям предоставляют всё необходимое для барбекю, а также много столиков и стульев, где можно приятно провести время с семьей или друзьями.
Бассейн для нас оказался немного холодноватым, но это совсем не испортило впечатление от отдыха 😊
В целом мы прекрасно провели время и с удовольствием рекомендуем это место другим гостям.

IITypical three star hotel. Staff have a good attitude, especially the floor managers and are willing to accommodate guests. Still, the hotel is a bit overpriced for its class , possibly because of the hot springs available to hotel guests. Hotel is close to the garden but it sits right on the tran track and the train whistle will surely wake you up at 4:30am. Some of the front desk staff are very young and apparently still in training (the receptionist took me to the room but let me carry my luggage). Breakfast is traditional , quite good.

KKeith OHalloranAmazing guesthouse and could not ask for better location to the Jinshanling Great Wall (1 minute walk away from the entrance gates). Very kind accommodating owner and staff, great dinners as well, comfortable room, and even pick up and drop off from train station. Perfect place to stay to see the wall, and the Jinshanling wall was absolutely amazing, and fairly quiet with less people. Highly recommend this place.

GGuest UserLocation is unbeatable!! The hotel is right before the entrance gate to the Jinshanling Great Wall cable car station and trail heads. You can actually hike up to good view points on the Great Wall injust 30-40 minutes. The hotel is in good condition. The room is mostly clean and well maintained. The AC works well. Toilet has a weird smell but didn't bother me that much. Wish they provided conditioner (only shampoo and shower gel were in the bathroom). Restaurant has many options for Chinese dishes and so is the buffet breakfast. If I come back, definitely book it again for the excellent location.
