The hotel service was also great; every staff member was enthusiastic. The hotel lobby offered various free snacks, and they even provided complimentary masks, hair ties, and band-aids, which made me feel very welcome. I especially want to mention that the handle of my suitcase broke, and the hotel's maintenance technician fixed it for me free of charge before I checked out. I'm really grateful for his kind help. This hotel offers incredible value for money in the area around Central Street and Saint Sophia Cathedral. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Harbin! ๐"

You can exit from the back of the room, walk through the flower beds into the convention center, and after passing through it, you'll find the south gate of the Harbin Ice and Snow World directly across an asphalt road."

"The location is fantastic! St. Sophia Cathedral is right downstairs, and Daoli Vegetable Market is just across the street. We took a nice evening stroll to enjoy the night views. The room was spotless and well-maintained. The customer service was excellent; they were super quick to address any issues. We had a very pleasant stay. Plus, there's a small room to store luggage, so you don't have to worry about carrying it around while exploring. There's also a clothing store downstairs, so you can easily pick up any hats or gloves you might need. Getting to the Ice and Snow World is easy by taxi or subway. Super satisfied! I highly recommend the scenic view king room; the round bed room's windows aren't very well sealed, so it can get a bit chilly."

"The room was warm enough despite the temperature outside is freezing cold at lowest -27 during our stay. They said there is only 1 family suite each floor, so the view with St Sophia Cathedral is guaranteed.
There is 1 bed right after the entrance (i call it the living room with bed), and another 1 bed inside the bedroom.
There is only 1 toilet / shower room - which is at the living room.
There is no table or coffee table to eat together with family.
The room overall has plenty of space but lack of proper furnitures."

"The warmth of Harbin truly embraced us right from our first stop! Check-in was an absolute delight; they showered us with so many thoughtful gifts, I almost felt my own hand warmers were overkill because what they provided was so comprehensive and considerate. They even put our IDs in adorable cardholders. After a day out, we returned to find welcome fruits and a special bowl of *youtiao mian* (fried dough twist noodles). My partner, a Northeasterner who often lives away from home, was incredibly excited, saying it had been ages since he'd had it โ he was truly satisfied. The location is also fantastic, within walking distance of Central Street and Hongzhuan Street Morning Market. On our first day, the snowman outside the hotel lost an eye, but by the next day, it had been fixed! When we checked out, they even gave us some local dried blueberries. Honestly, this has been the most thoughtful and attentive hotel experience I've had in all my travels across the country."

BbhgghggbjdxgynyefThe B&B owner was incredibly hospitable, the rooms were warm and spotless, and the Northeastern-style stewed fish was delicious. The beautiful snowscapes were visible everywhere, and Dog Bear Mountain was exciting and fun. It's definitely worth a visit! In the evenings, the lobby was filled with travelers from all over the world, chatting happily with the owner (who, by the way, used a translator to communicate with foreign guests, so cool!). He's super popular with international visitors; even a Malaysian tourist mentioned that this B&B is famous in their country. The owner even accompanied us to Dog Bear Mountain for free and offered drone photography. The emotional value was immense, highly recommended!

__WeChat37292****Every day since leaving Xinfu, I've been missing the sledding hill behind the lodge (it was free and unlimited!).
The owner even helps guests take photoshoots like 'splashing water into ice' (he took three amazing shots for me ๐) and 'glowing with colors.' He's an incredibly skilled photographer, and those pictures instantly elevated my social media game. They also organized a session where we all made candied hawthorns together. As an extrovert, being able to chat with everyone like that was just so enjoyable!
The owner also led the trip to Wusong Ridge, keeping us entertained, taking photos, and even teaching us how to ski along the way. As someone from the south, I truly got to experience the thrill of playing wildly in the snow!
And of course, the accommodation itself was very unique, with a traditional heated *kang* bed, ensuring a deep sleep until morning. Waking up to hot porridge in the morning was just heavenly!

The underfloor heating works exceptionally well; even when it's dozens of degrees below zero outside, the room remains warm as spring. The owners are genuinely kind and straightforward, and their recommendations for restaurants and attractions are very reliable. The guesthouse offers a free breakfast with a rich variety of porridge, steamed buns, eggs, and pickles, providing a balanced and nutritious start to the day. In the evening, you can even roast sweet potatoes and regular potatoes at the guesthouse, which are sweet and delicious, bringing back many childhood memories. GGuest UserHarbin Anshu Family Hotel has only 7 rooms and a family who look after the rooms and guests. Their services are just outstanding. I had a serious problem when i arrived as i had not had time in Beijing, where i was in transit from UK to Harbin, to get a phone SIM Card. Anshu Family Hotel took me to the China Mobile shop in Harbin and stayed with me until i got my card. They flatly refused payment for helping me even though it cost them a lot of time so i got them some grapes as a very small gift to say thankyou for helping me so kindly.
The process took nearly two hours due to a complication on my UK phone number settings. However the staff at China Mobile were really good, the Anshu Family were just incredibly patient. They simply would not leave until i was fixed up and able to use my phone. I stayed for just under a week to go to see the major attractions in Harbin, a City with a totally unique identity in China due to its Russian and European Architecture. It is one of the most fascinating cities i have ever visited, Harbin Museum being quite astonishing in its variety and quality of Artifacts. It was the 16th Museum or Museum type building i have visited in China and one of the most enjoyable. This year was Harbins 26th Ice Show, with the Winter Games coming up soon.
The Anshu Family Hotel is spot on location for both events, just a $3 taxi ride or Metro for just cents. The hotel has lots of shops, supermarkets, several food roads bristling with many many choices of meal. The Anshu Family make a very low charge for their rooms, in my opinion it could be far higher but they stick at their price.
I had not asked for breakfast as i go out early to get to see as much as possible during my day sightseeing.
The night before i left i asked them if they would get me a taxi for the morning to get my train. I was to get the taxi at 6.45am. At 5.50 a knock on the door and they came to give me three boiled eggs and a meat stew with noodles. Honestly no Hotel has treated me so kindly. I really recommend grabbing a room with Anshu most especially if you are going to the Ice Show or Winter games.
It is a budget Hotel, so be aware of that, but I got a spotless sheet, cover duvet and i was as warm as toast room at night. The water shower is piping hot. Opposite the Hotel road is a huge Govt building as a landmark, i never had any problem finding it. There is a Bank of China two hundred metres from Anshu Family Hotel.
Anshu, in my opinion must be one of the top deals on offer from Trip.com.

GGuest UserWe had a really lovely stay here! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. The location is great tooโclose to recreational areas and some beautiful parks that are perfect for taking photos. Breakfast was nice and simple, just what we needed to start the day.
One small thing to note: the hot water for the shower and bathroom can run out if several people bathe in a row, so the next person might need to wait a bit for it to heat up again. It wasnโt a big issue, but good to keep in mind.
A special highlight of our trip was meeting the driver. He was incredibly kindโhe picked us up and dropped us off at the station, and even took us to several places around the area. He also recommended some great local restaurants for lunch. His warm hospitality truly made our stay extra memorable.

I'd definitely choose this place again next time. Even though the room faced the street, it wasn't noisy at all thanks to the excellent soundproofing of the windows. Highly recommended!
