"Staying at the Wyndham Xinyang while passing through, and it definitely lives up to its five-star rating; the management is excellent. The room was spotless; I even took a photo from the bathroom's perspective, showing how bright and spacious it was. The lobby is grand with a lotus painting, and the upstairs carpets feature plum blossom designs—all very artistic. The service was fantastic; I was greeted everywhere I went, which made me feel very welcome. I didn't get to try the shuttle service this time, but I'll make sure to experience it next. Highly recommend it! I'm not sure if I'll be back in Xinyang, but I'll certainly recommend this hotel to my friends."

"Traveling with a pet, this place was perfect. The hotel environment is lovely, and the room was spacious – my cat absolutely loved it and felt very relaxed. The room was well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. The TV's screen mirroring was convenient, and the tea area was very roomy. There's a pedestrian street nearby, making dining very easy, and a large supermarket for all your needs. It was an excellent pet-friendly stay.
P.S. My cat developed a peculiar fondness for the sink, constantly intrigued by the sound of the draining water."

"The room was excellent and clean. We particularly enjoyed the great breakfast and excellent afternoon tea, not to mention the welcome fruit. The surroundings were lovely, and the service was good overall.
However, the WiFi was terrible; it kept disconnecting and eventually stopped working altogether.
When I tried to call for children's slippers at 10:30 PM, no one answered the phone.
The elevators had no fan or air conditioning.
Exiting the parking lot was inconvenient as we had to call the front desk to be let out, a detail we weren't informed of during check-in. This is definitely an area for improvement."

"The stay experience was really good. The location of the hotel is excellent and it is very convenient to travel and eat. As soon as I entered the room, I felt clean and refreshing, there was no smell, the bed was moderately soft and hard, and I had a good rest at night. The front desk staff was polite and welcoming, the check-in and check-out speed was very fast, and the questions could be answered patiently. The public area is clean and tidy, and the overall environment is quiet and comfortable. Affordable, cost-effective, I will book this one next time I come here, and I recommend it to everyone!"

I have been to the hotel for 2 nights and i was shocked by how perfect it was. The hotel is very clean, i booked the smallest room but for one person with the price it was perfect. It had air conditionning and many things such as razor, tooth brush, towels … The best thing of the hotel is the boss, the boss is so nice, he gave me a breakfast, bring me at the restaurant close to the hostel, since my chinese is terrible he helped me with everything. I really recommand to speak to the boss because he is so nice. The best boss i met in China. Around the hotel you have the lake walk wich is 2 hours return, and its very beautiful and relaxing. The boss rent scooter in case you need it too.
I totally recommand this hotel and i can comeback in the city just to sleep there and see the boss.

A large shopping centre (Wanda Plaza) is next door with a huge array of Chinese franchised food outlets alongside KFC and Starbucks. A good spread of affordable to prestige clothing brands as well. Many empty shops, though, point to economic stresses in this market.
The breakfast is standard Chinese hotel fare so if you're expecting a range of gourmet cereals and breads you'll be disappointed.
Turning to the room itself.
No room clock and a huge television screen that turns on every time you put your key in the slot are minor annoyances. The television screen has no apparent access to audio-visual inputs which seems a wasted opportunity to me. I want to watch my own media on the television screen.
The room is a good size and quite quiet. The bed was firm but not hard. Blackout curtains work well and windows can be partially opened. I observed that any non-smoking regulation was not observed by all guests. Perhaps in the major markets that's more enforced.
There is no laundry service as far as I could tell.
The shower stall is my main concern and this might apply only to my room. The drain is VERY slow and the recess quickly fills with water. The floor is flat, so water does not naturally flow to the drain, leaving the shower recess always wet and a potential mould hazard.
No complaints from me about the lack of staff who speak English. This is a new hotel catering mainly to Chinese travellers. While I have some concerns about the standard of building construction finish I can't fault the staff for their attentiveness and friendliness. If the location suits you the value is obvious.
Note that guest rooms are on floors 18 and 19 so expect to spend some time waiting for the slow lift.

Opening the window, I was greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view of the Huanghe River! A stroll along the riverbank, with a gentle spring breeze, was a rare and delightful experience! A small bridge leads to Xin County Square, the heart of the county! After a busy day, you can drive along the Xihe River to experience its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere, or cycle through the former capital of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area to pay homage to its heroes and reconnect with your roots!
