"The hotel is very new, and the room was much larger than expected. It's perfect for families with children, and there's plenty of space even if you have a lot of luggage. Plus, it has a bathtub, which the kids absolutely loved. The hotel is located in a newly developed area, and we even discovered a really good restaurant nearby, which was super convenient."

"The environment was fantastic. The owner's place even had a terrace where you could watch the sunset. The bedding was clean and soft, the blackout was excellent, and it was very quiet. After visiting the waterfall, lying down to relax was incredibly relaxing. There was a food street just 100 meters away, and the owner provided excellent service, introducing us to many local delicacies."

"The most beautiful Homestay I have been to in all of China. The staff were so kind and helpful, assisting us with free transport to the scenic area, free laundry, and we're so attentive. The breakfast was great with good variety. They even gave us a free upgrade upon arrival and our room was stunning for a low cost. It is a bit of a walk to restaurants but that didn't bother us at all as it was a perfect quiet retreat. We wished we could have stayed longer, highly reccomend, thank you so much!!! 🩷"

Service: The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the shuttle driver was very attentive. It's very close to the scenic area. The driver told us about safety precautions, and we also asked him about discounts for overnight tickets. Huangguoshu Scenic Area Shuttle Service: The car was very clean, and the staff were very friendly; just let us know in advance."

"At the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone! ⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting. ⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions). ⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving). ⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit! ⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July). ⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers! ⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view). ⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss! ⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2'). Tips: ‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes. ‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent. ‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly! ‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes. ‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket. Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining! We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!"

"This time Huangguoshu trip to Beiyuan Geju was really the right choice! The overall decoration of the homestay is elegant and fresh, the smart facilities in the whole house are particularly comfortable to live in, the room is cleaned spotlessly, and the details are clean. The boss and staff are particularly warm and caring, providing pick-up service in the scenic spot, which is particularly worry-free to go back and forth in the scenic spot, saving the trouble of taking a taxi back and forth. The location of the homestay is quiet, convenient to go out, but very quiet at night, and the quality of rest is very good. "Facilities: The hotel is a fair distance from the entrance to Huangguoshu, but it offers a car shuttle. We drove there ourselves. We traveled off-peak, so we were picked up in the afternoon of the first day. Pick-ups are closed after 9 PM, so please be mindful of your schedule. However, there are many Qingju electric bikes in Huangguoshu, which was very convenient. We rode them back home on our first night. Cleanliness: I highly recommend it! Excellent! However, we were exhausted that day and left early the next day, so we didn't use the shower. The toilet was very good, with alcohol wipes provided for self-wiping. Environment: We stayed on the 7th floor. The window offered a mountain view, but that wasn't particularly useful for a special forces unit, as we didn't have time to see it. The elevator didn't indicate which floor it reached, which was a bit inconvenient. Service: I highly recommend the hotel front desk. We arrived that afternoon to avoid peak traffic and head to the Great Falls, but it rained heavily. The beautiful receptionist waited until the rain subsided to let us know and then took us there. The front desk, the handsome guy who escorted us, and the handsome guy who parked our car were all excellent! The service was impeccable! In short, if you are not so picky about the hotel's location, this hotel is worth staying at!"

"My stay here was absolutely wonderful! The hotel is super close to Huangguoshu Scenic Area, just a few minutes' drive away. It has a really peaceful vibe, and I loved sitting on the balcony at night, looking at all the stars with the mountains all around – so quiet and relaxing. Check-in was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were so warm and polite. My room was spotless, the bedding was comfy, and the soundproofing was excellent. Breakfast offered a great variety and tasted delicious. A huge thank you to the front desk for the room upgrade; after two nights here, I felt completely refreshed from my travels. The overall service was top-notch. They also have a lot of free activities; I tried batik making and fridge magnet crafting, which was fun. This is definitely my go-to choice when visiting Huangguoshu, and I'll be back for sure! I'll be recommending it to all my colleagues and friends!"
