"The Daiwa Matsue Hotel just opened on August 6 this year, and since we were traveling in the Izumo area, we chose to stay here. The overall experience was very good — it is located right across from Matsue Station and offers a large public bath for guests to enjoy. What makes it unique is the hotel’s eco-friendly policy of not providing bottled water. Instead, guests are given empty water flasks that can be refilled with electrolyzed water on the third floor, with unlimited access. This is quite rare, and it ensures that you never have to worry about running out of drinking water."

"Old and famous ryokan in town, with old and very nice Japanese garden with its own history. This hotel provide a very large outdoor public hot bath pond which both men and women could use together. Nearby the hotel is a drainage canal with cherry blossom trees along both sides made a wonderful view."

"An affordable hotel with a large public bath. You can enjoy the hot waters of Matsue Shinjiko Onsen. The room is small but Japanese-style, and there are USB type-C and type-A outlets next to the pillow. Rental bicycles are available. There is also a convenience store called Popura on the first floor, which may be useful for those who want to stay within the hotel. The downtown area is a little far, but you can get there by renting a bicycle."

"Although the public areas of this hotel look outdated, the rooms are modern and clean. However, the room is too small for two people. Considering the location and price, it's decent for just an overnight stay."

"Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu was our 5th hotel in this journey, and honestly, it set the bar pretty high. The location was hard to beat — right opposite Matsue Station, and it could be easily reached through an underpass, which was especially helpful when travelling with big luggage or during bad weather. One big surprise for us was the check-in experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 11.30am, fully expecting to leave our luggage and return later, but we were told that our room was already ready and we could occupy it immediately instead of waiting until the usual 3pm check-in time. It also seemed that they upgraded our booking to a Standard Double Room, which made the experience even better. Two thumbs up for this hotel. Even though we had booked a Standard Single Room, the space genuinely surprised us. The room came with a queen bed and was more than comfortable for two of us. We were able to fully open our large suitcases without feeling cramped — something that is not always guaranteed in Japanese hotels. The room layout was practical and well thought out, with a proper TV console and work desk with a chair, a single sofa with a small table, an air purifier, and a fridge. The TV model was a bit outdated, though it did not affect our stay. The bathroom was also spacious, with a proper bathtub that allowed us to stretch our legs comfortably after long days out. The bed was very comfy, and they provided two pillows for each of us, which made our sleep even better. Amenities and bottled water were provided at the lobby area, which we found convenient. We paid around SGD159 (JPY19,000) for two nights, and it was excellent value. Overall, it was one of the best hotels in this journey, and we would gladly stay here again."

"According to the standards of hot spring hotels, the price/performance ratio is competitive. The baths are well designed, especially the wind baths are highly recommended. There are no restaurants around, so it is recommended to buy a package that includes breakfast and dinner. The quality of the dinner is better than expected, and the breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet with a lot of choices."

"Near Songjiang Station, you can take buses to nearby attractions. There is a LAWSON supermarket 100 meters outside the hotel."

"Very warm hotel, the traffic from JR Yuzao Hot Spring Station to the hotel is a bit inconvenient, but every time you make an appointment with the hotel in advance, you can send a car to pick up and drop off, the service is very thoughtful. The surrounding environment is good, if it is not too hot, I really want to go to the beach to see. I was fortunate to watch the local summer festival, which shows that everyone is very hard at protecting local cultural customs. Finally, I mentioned dinner. I stayed for two nights. The dinner was very exquisite, especially the dishes on the first night were very in line with our tastes, very good! !"

"I don't know how to check in, and when I called, the staff appeared immediately. It feels like a private night. The room is large and the home appliances are new and fashionable. I didn't know how to store hot water in the bath, so I'd be happy if I had a little more guidance."
