Guest UserWe didn't receive the password for check-in and it took us a while to figure it out, but the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a clean hotel and we all enjoyed our stay. While there aren't many public facilities, it's extremely comfortable and conveniently located.

The service was polite, the room was clean and very nice.
I was happy that the amenities were Diptyque!
It was a little disappointing that we had to queue for breakfast, but I guess that can't be helped💦

KEVINLEETransportation:
Even without a car, getting around is convenient. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Miyako Airport with a clear schedule. For daily outings, I relied entirely on public transport; several bus lines stop right outside the hotel, connecting to areas like Shimojishima. Waiting times were acceptable, but buses aren't super frequent, so checking the schedule beforehand is advisable.
Environment:
It boasts a prime beachfront location. When the weather was good, the ocean's color was stunning, truly giving off vacation vibes. The resort grounds are generally quiet, not too crowded, making it perfect for guests looking to relax and avoid bustling crowds.
Facilities:
The room size was adequate. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Public areas are practical; both the pool and beach were quite clean, providing a consistently good experience.
Service:
The service leans towards professional and efficient rather than overly enthusiastic, but responses were prompt, and communication was smooth, which was reassuring overall.
Breakfast and Dinner:
Breakfast offered a good variety, with both Japanese and Western options, and the quality was consistent – perfectly fine for several consecutive days. Dinner maintained a steady standard, and the price was reasonable for a resort hotel. It's a great option when you don't feel like going out.
Surroundings and Overall Impression:
Miyako Island generally has a slow pace, and its beaches are high quality. Using this hotel as a base, you can cover some major areas simply by using public transportation. Overall, my stay was very satisfying; the strengths were prominent, and any minor drawbacks were acceptable. If I return to Miyako Island, I would consider staying here again.

A year later, I returned to the Rosewood Miyakajima and was once again captivated by its unique scenery. However, compared to my previous wonderful experience, this stay, while still featuring stunning views, was filled with an undeniable sense of disappointment.
The room remained clean to a good standard, spotlessly spotless. Against the backdrop of this breathtaking natural environment, minor imperfections were easily overlooked. However, for a hotel costing over 13,000 RMB per night, the welcome amenities felt incredibly cheap and didn't match the quality expected at this price.
The room's smart control system was also poorly designed. The curtains/sheers were controlled as a single unit, making independent control extremely inconvenient. In the afternoon, I wanted to take a nap in the room, while my friend wanted to read in the living room. Because the curtains couldn't be adjusted individually, the lighting couldn't meet both our needs, ultimately ruining my sleep and leaving me feeling quite annoyed. Furthermore, the sliding door leading to the outside was noticeably problematic, requiring considerable force to open; the attention to detail was lacking. Upon closer inspection, the outdoor hot tub reveals layers of tiny foreign objects floating on the surface.
Both meals during my stay were at the hotel. The food quality was undeniably excellent, with exceptionally fresh ingredients. However, the service was disappointing, falling short of Rosewood's expected standards and even appearing disconnected. Each time we entered the restaurant, no staff member proactively greeted us or guided us to our seats. On the second evening, we waited at our seats for nearly ten minutes without any assistance. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, we had to call out to a staff member for a menu.
That evening, I reported this unpleasant experience to the front desk manager, but received no response whatsoever. Even after checking out, I received no feedback or apology from the hotel. Is this management style and service level truly healthy? Is it gradually eroding the trust and goodwill of loyal customers?
Based on these two experiences, I must re-evaluate whether the Rosewood Miyakojima should remain on my travel list.

Guest UserWatermark was a perfect location for us on a couple’s getaway. Since we were flying into Shimojishima airport and rented a car, we found it to be a very convenient location—only a six minute drive away. Although we could see the runway in the distance, we hardly noticed the noise of air traffic. On top of that, we enjoyed that it was in a remote area and not in the middle of town (like Miyakojima) or in the midst of a major resort area (like Shigira). We didn’t mind exchanging more driving time for more serenity. I could go on about the location but if you are looking for a quiet place on the water, I highly recommend this hotel!
The staff were always polite, which is expected in Japan, but there was also a kind of relaxed warmth that I haven’t always felt from staff in other Japanese hotels.
The facilities also struck a perfect balance for us. Not garish, not too plain; just enough island flavor but not too much. I was refreshed every time I walked through the lobby. The breakfast buffet area was clean, fairly well organized and offered a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed our breakfast times daily. We used the laundry facilities and found the machines easy to use—glad to have had this option. We also enjoyed watching the sunset from both our room balcony and the rooftop pool.
We loved our room. It was simple but had everything we we wanted, including a balcony. If you’ve ever seen a modern Japanese one room apartment, it feels much the same, without the gas range. It was perfect for our stay.

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was very convenient, and the accommodation itself was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We especially appreciated having the ability to cook our own meals, which made everything feel more relaxed and home-like. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we had a truly great stay

Anyway, it's very good.
Equipment も Qili だし, big family to けで the most suitable だと think います.
(I was a family of five)
There is a beach nearby and there is a pool in the hotel, so it is an environment that is easy to play.
Breakfast is also very delicious.
Finally, the surrounding environment is good because the Shigira group is managed together.

I recently stayed at Bibi Hotel Miyako Kukomae, and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring Miyako Island. The hotel is modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious for the price. Check-in was fully digital, making arrival smooth and stress-free, especially after a long flight.
My room was bright and well-designed, with a comfortable bed, fast Wi-Fi, and all the essentials for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the washing machine and mini-kitchen, which made the trip more convenient. Everything felt new and well maintained.
The location is ideal—just a short drive from Miyako Airport and close to supermarkets and local eateries. It was easy to pick up food or hop in the car to the beaches. Sunayama Beach and Yonaha Maehama were both within quick reach. Despite the convenience, the neighborhood was quiet at night, allowing for a restful sleep.
Parking was simple and free, which is a huge plus on Miyako Island. The self-service system meant I could come and go at any time without worrying about reception hours.
Overall, Bibi Hotel Miyako Kukomae offers great value, comfort, and convenience. It’s perfect for travelers who want a clean, practical, and well-located base while discovering the beauty of Miyako Island.

mg37We stayed here for two nights out of the three nights we stayed in Miyakojima. All the hotels had washing machines in the rooms, so this may be the standard in Miyakojima, but it was helpful to have a washing machine in the room and a gas dryer on a different floor, although it was shared. We were going to go into the ocean, so there was a huge difference between going home without being able to do laundry and going home without doing it.
We were given shaved ice as a welcome gift, and my daughter was happy.
The hotel was right in the middle of the downtown area, so we found some delicious restaurants right away. If it wasn't a resort hotel, this was enough for our family. There were three beds, so we were able to sleep comfortably.
