"The staff was very good. I am very satisfied that I can enjoy the food and eat various dishes little by little. I didn't get tired of watching the murals in the bath. The staff was very happy to serve and it was a fun trip. There are few inns that I want to use again, but Tatsumi Kan wanted to use it again! Thank you."

"Pros: + Stunning outdoor onsen: The outdoor bath is the highlight. The natural scenery is beautiful, especially with the surrounding mountains and snow. + Tourist-friendly onsen: The resort provides special underwear so guests can comfortably enjoy the onsen without needing to be fully nude, which makes it much more accessible for international visitors. + Excellent kaiseki dinner: The traditional multi-course meal is well-prepared and delicious. Definitely one of the highlights of the stay. + Great atmosphere: The entire setting feels very authentic and relaxing, especially in winter. + Service meets expectations: Staff are professional and the hospitality is solid throughout the stay. Cons: - Outdoor bath is quite far from the main building: You need to walk through a snowy path wearing the traditional yukata, which can feel very cold and slightly inconvenient. - TV lacks modern app support: The in-room TV does not support apps like Netflix or other streaming services. - Tight schedule for check-in and check-out: The first shuttle bus arrives at the resort around 2:00 PM, leaving only a few hours before dinner at 5:45 PM. After dinner you can enjoy the onsen again until midnight, and it reopens at 5:00 AM. However, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, and guests must check out by 9:00 AM to catch the 9:15 AM bus. This makes the morning feel rushed and limits the time you can spend enjoying the onsen. The rest of your day might be feeling tired. Despite a few inconveniences - mainly the walking distance to the outdoor bath and the tight check-out schedule. Takaragawa Onsen is still a highly enjoyable experience. The stunning outdoor, beautiful scenery, and great kaiseki dinner make it a memorable stay. If you're visiting Japan and want to experience a famous outdoor onsen, this place is definitely worth it and shouldn't be missed."

"I used this to ride from the first train of Shiraneyama ropeway. It is an inn that is relieved with the feeling of an old-fashioned inn. The room was just a good size but the refrigerator and toilet are shared. There was no yukata. The hot springs become smooth skin. Because it is lukewarm water, it does not warm up unless it enters more than 15 minutes slowly. There was an oil stove. There was a beetle in the room because it was in nature. There was a 7-Eleven in the car about 5 minutes."

"If you're a foreigner, a translation tool is essential because the staff don't speak English, or their accent was hard for us to understand. When we couldn't communicate, they seemed annoyed (90% of the staff didn't smile at us). There was an older staff member who was friendly, especially the one handling ski activity bookings. 🤬🤬 Absolutely terrible. The food was mediocre, not much variety or taste. The room was clean, and the onsen bathroom with amenities was excellent. In summary, due to poor communication and the staff's lack of enthusiasm in recommending snow activities, my trip ended in tears 😭😭. I had planned to do many snow activities, but instead, I just walked around, built snowmen, and rolled in the snow. I won't be coming back here next trip. I'll look for a hotel that's more welcoming to Thais."

"The location is a bit remote, the elderly male reception staff is very enthusiastic, the room space is large and well maintained, but it feels like the age of the building. The meal is quite delicious, but there are a few dishes that are western-style, and I am not very used to eating. I want to eat local traditional cuisine. Overall a relaxing hotel."

"The hotel is not far from the station, about a five-minute drive away. Near the hotel is Tianyi Art Museum whose owner is an artist of traditional Shakuhachi musical instruments. The decoration and details of the hotel are very artistic. Inadvertently found a hotel with a local traditional culture atmosphere. You need to make an appointment if you have a private soup, and you can see the outdoor scenery. Public soups for men and women are separated and served 24 hours a day. The breakfast is delicious and authentic with local specialties. The dinner will provide musical instrument performance and experience. Interesting."

"[Location] It's easy because there is a shuttle bus from Minakami Station. 【service】 He is very polite and looks at our customers. (If you accidentally dropped the ingredients during the breakfast buffet, an employee at a distance told me ”I'm OK as it is.”) [Cleanliness] I thought the exterior was a bit rough (the exterior of the lobby was beautiful), but the interior was very beautiful. Surprisingly beautiful. [Facilities and amenities] ・ You can drink coffee and apple juice freely in the lounge. (I drank apple juice but it was very delicious.) -Take toilet paper in the room toilet It is a bit disappointing that the rattling sound reverberates in the bedroom. ・ There is a fireplace beside the lobby and it looks like an Instagram. [General] The hotel itself was very beautiful and the service was good. I would definitely stay here when I went over the water. "

A hotel in the Itoen Hotels chain which offers the same 7,800 yen rate on weekdays, weekends and holidays

"The cospa was the best. It was 2 meals per night and all-you-can-drink at night. This is the second use of this term. I was beaten by the school discount ... (bitter smile). It was a little disappointing that when the parking lot was full and I parked in a remote place, I wonder if I wanted you to guide me a little better."

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe hotel is located about half an hour's drive from Shangmao Plateau Station. The hotel has a free shuttle bus. The hotel will send an email one day in advance to confirm whether you need to book a shuttle. The hotel is in a small village, there are no modern facilities around, such as small hotel cafes, etc., basically can play in the hotel. The hotel is divided into two pieces, one is the location of the main hotel lobby, with the hotel lobby, restaurant, and small courtyard, as well as a public hot spring pool open to the outside world. The other is to ignore, mainly with accommodation rooms, a hot spring developed only for the accommodation passengers, and a small cable car. Two places can be reached by the hotel's unmanned tram, but the tram is very slow. It takes about 4 minutes to walk normally, and you need to walk a lot of stairs, which is not very friendly to passengers with inconvenient legs and feet. The overall style of the hotel is similar to the retro farm style, a bit like living in a small temple, the overall layout of the room and outside the hotel is quite detailed, there are many old-looking decorations, and the hotel also collects a lot of antiques. It feels different from other Japanese and modern Western hotels I usually live in, which is quite novel. The hot spring in the main hall seems to be a mixed bath for men and women. The other hall is separate for men and women. The hot spring has a sulfur taste but is not heavy, indoors and outdoors. If you eat a meal, I personally feel that the medium is a little bit above the level. The weight is really big. It is no problem to eat. 😂 The hotel is built on the hillside. Our room is at the highest point of the other hall. It overlooks the large rice fields in front of the hotel. The view is very wide and the scenery is very good when the sun is good. The room is large as a whole and private. There is a bathtub in the room, but it is not hot spring water. To sum up, the hotel style is quite distinctive, the view of the room is good, but the traffic is not particularly convenient, and the overall price/performance ratio is still slightly lower for me. Originally, I didn't book other hot spring hotels before I temporarily booked this one with a vacancy. Overall, the experience is medium-sized
