"I upgraded to the Deluxe suite, which was very clean and spacious, making it ideal for a couple or more than one person. The staff, as always, was friendly, providing helpful information, and the breakfast was enjoyable. The only downside was that, because I stayed in a balcony room, the black birds living on the beach were somewhat annoying 😂. Otherwise, everything was fine."

"We stayed at the hotel for one night before flying from Colombo to Russia. And it was the perfect choice! We were impressed with its friendliness, cleanliness, beautiful, cozy lounge areas, and spacious rooms! It's a great choice for a pre- or post-flight getaway! We were greeted from the very beginning upon arrival, our luggage was taken, and we were escorted to check-in. While we waited for our keys, we were given cold towels to cool down with and refreshments. It was the first time we'd encountered cold towels—just what we needed, as it was incredibly hot! We were upgraded to a Superior Room with a complimentary room view, which was very nice. Location: The hotel is 15 minutes from CMB International Airport. This is a definite plus, because the next morning we called a taxi and were at the airport in just 15 minutes. It's not on the ocean, but it's located next to a beautiful lagoon—the view is stunning! The ocean is an 8-12-minute drive away, and the same distance to a street with shops, cafes, and bars. Rooms: spacious, clean, with a wonderful balcony for the whole group! I'd call the shower a tropical downpour because of the incredible pressure! It has everything you need for comfort. A refrigerator is the only thing missing in the rooms. Amenities: The hotel has a pool, a restaurant, and a rooftop bar—everything you need. Food: We didn't include breakfast in our rooms because the Sasha food court was nearby, where you can eat for half the price. But we did have dinner on the day of our arrival at the restaurant, at tables on the shore of the lagoon—it was amazing! The view is like being in a fancy restaurant. The prices aren't exorbitant, but the quality of the food is average. The food is worse than in Viligama. The pizza tasted like it came straight from a ribbon, the steaks were a bit dry, and the seafood was a bit underwhelming. 😏 But we've already been spoiled by the good food in Weligama. Overall, the restaurant is perfect for a snack and cocktails with a great sunset view! The service: simply wonderful! Like a hotel in the Maldives)) They bring everything, help everyone, and don't even let you bring anything to the table yourself—they do everything for you. It was a real hit! Conclusion: this is a wonderful hotel for a getaway before or after a flight! A couple of days here is a great option."

"Friendly and very helpful staffs, room is clean and well equipped. The shower is hot (that’s pretty important for me) The breakfast is great too! The fruits they served were the SWEETEST in my life (I’m not even exaggerating seriously!!! Especially pineapple like can I bring back home????!)"

"You chose this place because it was near the airport and didn't wait much. They stayed for 2 nights and the reality outstripped all expectations! In the room there is all necessary , toilet paper (read the reviews and it seems not common) and soap. There is hot water , air conditioning , fan on the ceiling. In the room CLEAN. In the house too. Towels 4pc for 2 guests + in the bathroom was. In general, everyone was enough ☺️🙏 The hosts are wonderful people . They arrived later than the settlement , but we were met by all explained and showed , despite the late hour. As I think, it is very that customer-oriented (here many good-wishing, in contrast it is strongly thrown into the eyes 😅) Prepared a delicious breakfast! There were fresh fruit (banana and papaya), juice, tea, toasts, butter, jam, local pancakes and on the second day still local pancakes (there is a name but I don't know it yet) and still local dish , but it was enough) And the coolest thing you can note - breakfast on the roof 😍 only awake area, beauty 😍😍😍 We had enough of 2 days to explore the surroundings and go on on the journey. Thank you very much for the warm reception ❤️🫶 You can not doubt the booking , the place is really good. Made little photos before the settlement , but when I remembered making them)"

"This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category."

"Please take a closer look if you come to Negombo. I booked two rooms, but when they arrived, they were connected to a suite separated by a door. The surroundings are relatively remote. Breakfast is 3 US dollars per person, but the quality is very good. We originally spent the night in Negombo, and the elephant orphanage the next day, in fact, there is really no need to waste money in the elephant orphanage. Because I only used Ctrip to watch, I feel that Negombo has no good hotels at all. In fact, there are many good hotels here! There are many delicious gourmet shops. But to book this kind of reservation, Ctrip has very few listings."

"We had a wonderful stay at Solar Airport Hotel. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent, offering a good variety of fresh and delicious  that suit in different tastes. We also enjoyed the food served during our stay, which was consistently flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. A special thank you to the service team for their outstanding hospitality and professionalism. Their dedication truly made our experience memorable.
