Loch Ness Country House Hotel

Noticed that the hotel does a cheese afternoon (afternoon tea with a twist). Proved to be enjoyable and excellent value. We were met and shown to a table in their sitting room overlooking the gardens. Five cheese were served with a variety of biscuits and a delicious warm crusty baguette, all accompanied with a glass of wine. Service was very good and we finished off our afternoon with coffee & cheesecake which was so light. It and the scone were made in-house, so I think afternoon tea would be yummy. One to be recommended.

Had yet another afternoon tea, as usual it was excellent. Good variety of different sandwiches and hot starters. Lovely warm scones with jam and cream and many other cakes, always different each time we go. As to the staff they are second to none, they are there when you need them but leave you to get on with your food, lovely friendly people. Thank you again. Ann & Mike.😋😋

Everything was spot on.

I literally can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Our family of four stayed in the garden cottage number 1 for three nights. The set up was perfect for a family: Two twin beds upstairs and one king down stairs. Full living room, kitchen, dining table and beautiful bathroom with modern shower. But the best part about the cottage was the view of Inverness. I cried when I saw it for the first time! The restaurant was delish! We ate there for 3 breakfasts and two dinners. Our family consisted of 2 dairy allergies, 1 vegan and 1 normal eater. The chef was so accommodating and they even had vegan and dairy free desserts made by a pastry chef. They had a bar and a beautiful lounge with a crackling fireplace that over looked the garden. But the absolute best part was the staff. They were amazing and so accommodating of our early excursions, frequent taxi calls and packing us to go (take away) breakfasts. Graham was AMAZING. He was so knowledgeable about everything we wanted to know about Inverness. We left feeling as though he was a dear friend! The pride that he shows in his work is visible. He really made our trip to Inverness so special. If you are staying in lnverness you MUST stay here. I can’t wait to go back. I wish I could give this hotel 20 stars.

Enjoyed a fab relaxing afternoon tea today in this gorgeous country house hotel situated a few minutes from Inverness. Lovely unusual savouries, a variety of well filled sandwiches, mouth watering cakes and scones. Very competent friendly staff and served with a smile. Would certainly recommend

Best hotel in Inverness by a mile, modern, spotless clean, cool bar/restaurant, excellent food and breakfast. Staff are all very welcoming too. Car park is busy but plenty nearby street parking if needed. Exactly the sort of hotels that Inverness needs.

Warm welcome from friendly and attentive staff. A beautiful old house converted tastefully to a charming hotel. Conveniently located to explore the area. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights in a very nice room. Comfortable bed, but what an undignified struggle to get into it! The mattress is 33inches from the floor! Lovely country house ambience (drinks by a log fire) and the food was excellent. Friendly helpful staff. Also the hotel is quiet.Will definitely return.
