Itoen Hotel

房間有點舊，有蟲子，但是設施齊全，衞生到位。酒店提供很多服務（早晚自助餐、公共泡澡等），性價比很高。位置也很棒，離車站和海邊都很近。

In the evening, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat Matsuba crab and sweet shrimp, which is very cost-effective! The room is very large, separated from dry and wet areas. Many Japanese old men and women live there, and the hot springs are also very good! The front desk said that booking through the official website or in-store will be cheaper than Ctrip in the future, and they also gave discount coupons. If you have children, it is recommended to add money on the spot. Do not choose 3 adults. It will be much more cost-effective. It is recommended to bring your student ID!

I stayed at the Itoen Hotel Annex and visited the Itoen Hotel for a hot spring tour. It is about a 2-minute walk from the annex. You can go there wearing a yukata. The hot springs are better in the main building than in the annex. Matsukawakan is even better.

It takes about 4 hours by bus from Ueno to get to the Itoen Hotel, which is a large building with three buildings on the eastern edge of Atami. There is the 6-story Takasago Building, and the 9-story Main Building and East Building. We stayed in Room 618 on the 6th floor of the Main Building. I don't remember exactly, but it was a room with 8 tatami mats, 6 tatami mats, and 3 tatami mats with a wooden floor. I felt that the tatami mats had been replaced recently. Meals were served buffet style for both dinner and breakfast, with a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, and I liked how the staff quickly replenished them when they ran out. As a drinker, I started off with two glasses of beer, then a whiskey on the rocks, and finished with sake. There are three hot springs: the largest "Roman Bath," the medium-sized "Flower Bath," and a small open-air bath. According to the analysis sheet attached to the changing room, the spring quality is calcium sodium chloride spring water, and the temperature is 47.5℃. After returning home, I checked the temperature of the hot springs at Atami Onsen and found that it was 65-45℃, which is on the low side for Atami. It was in the top price range of Itoen Hotels, and the facilities and services were accordingly.

Although I only decided to stay here for the passive reason that it was cheap, in the end it turned out to be the right choice. It is true that the entire building showed some signs of aging, but it was close to the station, the rooms were spacious, and I didn't find any of the unsanitary points that other people have pointed out. And most of all, I was happy and grateful to be able to enter the hot spring facilities of the same "Itoen Hotel" annex and Matsukawakan, which are built nearby, for free. Actually, after checking in, I went to the nearby "Hotel New Okabe" for a day trip to the baths, and was treated rudely and roughly at the front desk, not even thinking that I was a guest. After that, I visited the hot spring facilities in the annex and Matsukawakan, and was able to gently soothe my rough feelings. Coincidentally, I stayed at "Itoen Hotel Hanamisaki" in Shimoda two days before, and at "Itoen Hotel Atagawa" in Atagawa the day before. I never encountered (although I was a little annoyed by the steep slopes of Atagawa).
