Exactly what I was looking for out of my stay! Staff was welcoming, the food and drinks at the bar were delicious, and my shared hostel room was sparkling clean. Access and parking could not have been easier, and the beach is a football kick from the property. There was also plenty of space to store my surfboards, and a work-horse to aid the prep required to set up my fins and wax accordingly. I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking to make friends while traveling. Price for the value of the stay was 12 out of 10.

This was my first solo trip and first time staying in a hostel so I wasn't sure what to expect.. This place exceeded my expectations! They set the bar extremely high for any future hostel stays I have. You are right near the beach and walkable to town but also have a great pool and restaurant right on site. The staff are great and really know how to show you a great time!! I will 10/10 be coming back. Thank you to Brian and his whole team!!

Great location, very clean! The bar staff was friendly and the food was pretty good as well. The manager Franco is great, helped me out with a situation and I can tell he really wants to do good things for the place, he’s doing the best he can with what he’s got. One of the negatives is the shared kitchen, could really use work but it was nice to have either way. Seems like best option if you’re in the area.

Our stay at Room2Board was impecable from start to finish! We traveled as a group of 26, and they seamlessly accommodated us. The hostel was clean, and the staff were awesome! We booked surf lessons with Room2Board, and the class was one of the highlights of our trip. At night, the pool bar was soooo fun. I would stay here again and recommend this place to anyone!

This was my first hostel experience and it didn’t disappoint. I had selected a private room and bathroom so there are many options available if you want to share a room or not. The staff are so helpful and fun and always in a great mood! I went on several excursions that I scheduled from Room2Board and they were all fantastic experiences. The owner, Bryan, is nice, friendly and helpful if you need suggestions to eat or places to go. The cleaning service was excellent! I had my clothes cleaned for 13 dollars and they were sparkling clean and folded. The pool was clean and nice. The top level is a must for watching the sunset and taking a nap in the hammocks. I had one of the best experiences and am so glad I chose Room2Board! I already miss it!

To be honest I have been there since the beginng R2Bs is an experience to say the least The main staff Fanco, Noel and wonderful women who run the bar ( including the two sisters who can out cook every chef in New York) always make this place unlike any Hostel in the world! Especially when it is being run by a guy who had zero experience running hotels, hostels or restaurants this place is incredible!! Brian!!!! If you look at him you would never guess he would even want to run a place like this. But he does it with such flair that I can travel around the world never experience a hostel such as R2B!!!

Excellent location, great staff and customer service. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and were delicious. Pura Vida vibes. Awesome pool and water slide. Convenient board selection and access to beach for rentals and surfing. Cesar was instrumental in helping me with the tours we planned! Overall an amazing experience while visiting Jaco.

There were no hidden costs (for towels, AC, etc.), the wifi was super fast, the pool was clean, the food was great, and the best part was the staff and volunteers. We went on a hike with a volunteer named Melissa who was super fun and sweet. The guys at the front desk were very nice, the surf instructors were hilarious and made us feel very safe (shoutout to Ron, we love you so much), and the owner Brian is great!!
