There’s 2 reception counters for check in & out. KSL City Square Mall just connects to the hotel & resort with a glass door apart. The room lightning is not very brighter as can’t see the face clearly when put on makeup. Sadly the shower head is fixed type and the water tap at basin will splash out when turn on. TV unable to watch any channel due to the aerial cable has no signal. Still can hear the water flowing from next door or peoples talking from outside because poor sound insulation inside the room. The room door need to closed harder as it won’t fully close up when letting it close ownself. There’s Avery-day drink stall which can get mystery dolls with purchased drinks.

First time staying here for a night, the location is good, walkable distance from JB Sentral and very near to Zenith mall and CIQ. However, the room was stuffy when we first checked in, feels like it has been empty for awhile. We also saw a dead lizard on the floor, that was quite shocking! The room is nice and it’s quite big, staff are friendly and toilet is huge with rain shower. It’s a good place to stay if you’re planing to walk around this area, but it’s quite far if you want to go Mount Austin.

The hotel is in a great location and offers plenty of space, but overall, the experience was mixed. While the room was large and comfortable, the cleanliness of the linens was disappointing. The bed sheets and towels were no longer white and had an unpleasant smell, which detracted from the stay. Additionally, the hotel’s size made it hard to understand the purpose of some of the areas, leaving parts of the property feeling underutilized. With a bit more attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness, the hotel could provide a much better experience.

I recently enjoyed a delightful 3-day, 2-night stay at the DoubleTree Hotel in one of their suites, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I stepped in, the front desk team greeted me with warmth and professionalism, making me feel right at home. The lounge was a real treat, offering a delicious array of breakfast options, tempting snacks throughout the day, and delightful evening canapés that added a touch of luxury to my stay. The suite I booked was incredibly spacious, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. However, there was one small hiccup—the room had a bit of a musty, mouldy smell when I first walked in. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it was noticeable. All in all, I had a great time and appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. With just a little tweak to the room’s freshness, it would have been flawless!

Convenient location near to KSL mall and nearby eateries and massage. Room is clean but toilet looks old and dated. Air-conditioning is weak. Room is near the lift and so slightly noiser with the 'Ding' sound when guests used the lift in the middle of the night and early morning. Overall good price, decent hotel and good location.

Hotel Location is great especially near the famous Dim sum restaurant and KsL. Room shows aging conditions and bath tub have misty smell. Not so clean. Keep to be improved. Service is good especially the bell boy. Always open the door and guest with luggage.

Dear Crystal Crown Management Team, First of all, I would like to thank you for the hospitality during this period. To begin with, I have a brother who is currently serving quarantine at Hotel Ramada, so I know exactly what are the two hotels offering and its differences. Nevertheless, my stay with Crystal Crown has been a decent one which I am grateful for. I will also be honest with you that there are quite number of areas which need to be improved, not only for the wellbeing of the next batch of guests, but also for the benefit of your staff members. Hence, I would like to provide some constructive suggestions. 1) Communications a) Clarity on the rules of food / items delivery. The RELA briefed us on the arrival day, but it was unclear as we were seated outdoor. A suggestion is to include pictures in your document. See the attached photo for illustration. Besides pasting the rules at the entrance, you could also print it out in black and white for every room, together with the welcome letter. I believe that once the rules are spelled out clearly, the guests will manage their expectations accordingly. b) Distribute the 14 days necessities (e.g. mineral waters, trash bag, toiletries) at one shot. This is also a good practice of Hotel Ramada. Not only the guests can ration the items based on their needs, it also saves your hotel staff the trouble of attending to the needs of the guests at all time. c) Discontinue the whatsapp group. I understand the intention of setting up the group is for emergency purpose. But we all clearly know that this is not the case. Unfortunately, the chat group becomes a platform of all sorts of stuff: from requesting the daily necessities, clarifying the same delivery rules, asking the staff to pick up and send food / items, to spamming the group of 198 people with complaints and feud, or even turning the group into personal chat room. I believe once point a) & b) are sorted out, there is less need to use the whatsapp group as the main channel of communication. We can always use the phone in our room to call the front desk for additional requests or attend to emergency matters. Respecting the guests’ privacy is very much appreciated. 2) Dietary Preferences a) Make the effort to collect guests’ dietary needs and be committed to attend to it. This is a basic etiquette and fundamentals of the hospitality industries. Peanut and seafood allergies can be severe and deadly. The health of people with medical conditions (e.g. diabetes) could be affected. Not to mention the vulnerable such as the elderly, young children and pregnant women. We are human after all, hence the importance of mutual respect – treat the guests the way you want to be treated. b) Look after the well-being of the vegetarians. I would like to speak up for the vegetarians, especially those who practise strict vegetarianism. They cannot to take onions, garlic, chives, green onions and leeks, as it cause anger and desi

Hotel was clean and relatively convenient a location, depending on where you wanna go while in JB. Service was amazing and service staff were friendly and helpful, knowing not to bring up the decorations in the room during check in for it to remain a surprise for my fiancée since we’re to celebrate our anniversary:) will definitely book again!😄

Receptionists were rude & not welcoming. Not professional because they also talked about internal affairs in the presence of guests during check-in. They mentioned somebody named Mr. Aaron scolded one of the workers. The room was not spacious. BREAKFAST WAS CONSISTENTLY TERRIBLE. Same menu for everyday. Sambal nasi lemak tasted spicy only. No flavour or hint of sweetness in it. Rm40/rm45 for additional breakfast was not worth it. Stayed here just because of the location near to my outstation site & walking distance to dinner place located beside hotel. 2 restaurants available offer delicious meal. Restaurant Dayangku & the cabin.

Booked it last minute and thought it will be a great choice for one night stay because pictures looked great and all. However, just within 1 day, we changed 3 rooms. First room was great until my friend noticed a bed bug on the other single bed. Went to counter and service crew at counter were clueless to what bed bugs were and didn’t want to change our rooms (just wanted to change the sheets but bed bugs can’t be eliminated without terminators..) until another guy who knew what bed bugs were came and helped us to another room. At night, around 1/2am when we were about to sleep, the second room had a power trip and people came to our room to check and all and in the end we had to change to another room. Really exhausting night.. Rooms were kind of dusty too but gotta give it to the location cuz it was near the aeon mall
