Needless to say, the resort is beautiful but what stood out during our 3 night stay was the excellent level of service by all the staff - courteous and catering to our needs and even going out of the way (as an example, provided me with the famous 'akki roti' even though it was not part of the breakfast buffet). Thank you to all the staff we interacted with for making this stay a memorable one! 👏 Of course with a brand like Marriot, I expect them to be sustainability champions and here the resort needs more work. Providing customers with a zillion small plastic mineral bottles is simple not done. I fed this back to the manager and he said that there is a plan for a water filter facility so that plastic bottles are avoided. While this is great a) no fixed date of implementation and b) why was this not thought through before building this resort, which is a fairly new project. Secondly, while I understand that 5 star resorts have hygiene standards to adhere to, food waste (from the daily buffets) needs to be managed better. Club facilities, swimming pool and game area were very good. Overall, recommend the resort.

Had a great stay at the property. Especially for our 2 y.o. who had an amazing time at the kids play area. The hotel staff there (Gana) was very helpful. The other hotel staff, right from the reception desk lady (Anushka) and the restaurant manager and associate (Soorya, Poorna), all were really welcoming and helpful - always ready to go one step extra to make us feel at home.

Everything was good. The room, staff and amenities were all excellent. The staff was super helpful at all times. The play room was very good and the kidd enjoyed greatly the only let down was the food and coffee. When we came in december 2023, the food was very good and coffee was also excellent. But this time both were a let down.

Location was good for a peaceful vacation with family and children. Food was ok-ok with limited choices, particularly in dinner which was ala carte. High tea provided was just a formality with sub standard tea, coffee and snacks. The room, bath room were spacious, clean and well kept. Surprisingly there were no provision for the food and accommodation for the driver of the vehicles of guests. All together the property was not worth the cost charged. I would not suggest to go for this property when many other better properties are available in coorg

Everything was good. Access was challenging due to narrow roads and difficult to reach out to front desk if some special requests prior to check in

.Coorg Mariott has been a fabulous experience personally for me and my family and will always remain close to my heart. It was just like a second home to me. The villa we stayed was so cosy and spacious, the nature view from our balcony was so beautiful and serene. Each and every staff has always gone an extra mile to make our trip super special and memorable. Special thanks to the chef Mr Brijesh Tiwari , Ranjith and their entire team who had taken so good care with their most yummiest dishes and given us personal attention with all our requirements. They have gone way beyond in providing us such fine meals with huge varieties of soulfulfood and was impressed with their fantastic presentation. They really provided more than we could imagine and treated us with so much royalty. I would also thank other staff Mr Satpal the bartender who made most delectable drinks, Mr. Chandan for offering wonderful desserts, Our servers Miss Pramila, Miss Dayani and Mr. Sairaj for their humble services...The front desk staff Mr. Umer, Miss Tina and Anjali for welcoming us in such a grand way . A special thank you to an important staff Mr. Lithin for giving us a fabulous experience at the morning coffee plantation trail walk.. it was such a lively and fantastic experience to explore nature so closely and learning so much about them. He has been a fabulous host throughout our trip and has taken an extra mile in guiding where we can get the best of coorg products around the vicinity. We loved all the amenities provided and also enjoyed d spa and the gaming experience. Special thanks to all support staff, gaming staff and buggy drivers. Last but not least our in house manager Mr Soorya Narayana and Mr Suman for making us feel so special and welcomed. This has by far been our most lovable and best Staycation ever and would love to come here always. Would highly recommend everyone to come and visit Coorg and stay only in Mariott.

Stayed here for 3D/2N and it was a mixed bag with service and food being free biggest let down! PROS - Situated at a good elevation (~1100 m), which brings in the cooler weather. Resorts like Amanvana in Kushalnagar are way too low at 850 m. - Rooms are spacious and comfy, and the bathroom takes the crown as its huge and laid out well. - Good wifi connection (I was able to easily work from my room) - Accommodated early check-in and late check out - Good high tea options (compared to other resorts) - Kid centric with activities for toddlers up to teenagers (arcade games, cricket - all these are paid activities though - Quick service - buggy was always on time CONS - Food : 2.5/5 Breakfast spread is lavish, but no dish stands out. Despite having meals here multiple times (Madikeri Kitchen restaurant), food never got any better. In room dining is even worse from a food quality pov - Hospitality: 2/5 Read in many reviews and experienced it first hand, they really don't care about any special occasion. Remind them MULTIPLE times about a thing as basic as cake, and they will struggle to even get one despite advance notice. And don't expect any decorations, they just don't bother and try to compensate everyone with a 'sorry' later on. That said, Their manager, Durga, at least did contact us after we left, apologised and offered some points an upgrade for next time (don't think we ll visit though) - increased one rating star just for this but wondering where she was when service was so poor during the stay! - Activities: 3.5/5 Very limited complimentary activities - plantation walk and story time. Can easily include more like yoga etc. - Ambience : 4/5 Well maintained, but the location of pool just next to entry gate and all amenities stacked in one place give it a more corporate outing vibe than a serene one. OVERALL VERDICT👎 Skip this cz Coorg has amazing places like Tamara, Taj, Ibnii where you better spend your money!

Went on an offsite at this property and found this to be a pleasant experience a good mix of tranquility and moderness. Rooms were super spacious with large decks overlooking the forest and facilities were well maintained. The only let down was the food which I would say is average on marriot standards. Overall a good stay especially for corporate outings but I were to choose for a family trip i would favour more rustic and scenic resorts there.
