The hotel made a good deal first: the hotel's scenery is unparalleled, and you can overlook Kandy from the roof (Pictures 1 & 2); the breakfast is also pretty good, one set per person, I chose Sri Lanka (Picture 3)
Next, there is a very serious problem:
First of all, when making a reservation, please read clearly that "accommodating 1 person". If there is a second person after arriving at the hotel, 20USD will be charged.
Secondly, the reception in the lobby was not very friendly to Chinese people. He walked up to us with a smile and asked, "Are you Japanese?" We said, "No, we are Chinese." Then he turned around and left...
Furthermore, the room is not very clean, look at the sheets in picture 4
Most importantly, if you are sensitive to musty smells, don’t order! ! ! The room smelled musty as soon as it was opened, as you can tell by looking at the sofa in Figure 5 below; after reporting it to the front desk, their solution was to spray air freshener...

The hotel is clean and not bad. You need to prepare your own slippers and toothbrush and toothpaste. The service is also good.

The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

One of the best Hotels I visited out of Colombo. Nice location on a hill with nice views.. Hotel was clean and tidy . Staff was friendly from Door men , reception and staff in the Restaurant . Specially Mr. Hilary Smith F&B manager was very supportive and friendly and keep inquiring about things we require . As a suggestion I would say if they can add more meat stuff for people to have better choice .. It was a lovely experience thanks all the staff of Grand Kandyan

A good hotel located in the heart of kandy. Loved the room size and the view from the room. It has a great view of the mountains. Located close to the kandy lake and the temple of tooth relic. Food is good, service is good. Rooftop hotel has a great view and a c poolside seating. Would highly recommend.

Great location and superb room. Views were most amazing from all sides. Roof top had 360 degree views. Food was a bit ok. Overall a great experience

The hotel was located well in the hills and the view is fabulous. Had a great stay with my kids n wife for 3 nights. Staff were friendly. Only drawback was the food could have been better.
