Goodview Kohkood

Pros: The cost is one of the lowest Location - 5 min walk to the beach, but uphill. There is a full breakfast for an inexpensive price in a cafe and natural(!) coffee Gorgeous view! Spacious family house for 4 people with a large veranda Air conditioning, fan, kettle, hairdryer all working. Minuses: No room cleaning. You have to go get extra water and toilet paper yourself. The beds and linen leave a lot to be desired, but are clean. The furniture is in poor condition in some places. In general, for the sake of cost and location, you can tolerate the disadvantages)

One of the best hotels out there, and I have visited many around the world. Certainly not everything is perfect, but it fully deserves the 5 stars. We have just stayed there for five nights and leave you a sincere and objective opinion. Advantages: ABSOLUTE CALM associated with the charm of this Resort. The design of the hotel is fantastic, everything is beautiful and both the construction and the decoration are great. The infinity pool has a breathtaking view, and the small villas are magnificent and very comfortable. I highly recommend getting one with a roof terrace, it's great. The prices at the hotel seem reasonable to me, more expensive than outside without being prohibitive (ex: 200 baht for a pad Thai). The food is also very good, including the pastries. Note that the hotel offers a taxi service at 50 baht per person, scooters 400 baht per day (250 on average outside) and golf carts at 800 baht for 5 hours. Everything is more expensive than outside but compared to Europe it is very inexpensive. Cons: The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way, but with a scooter it only takes a few minutes to go to the beautiful beaches. Speaking of the beach, that of the hotel is not the best on the island for swimming but the look is very beautiful and when the conditions are met swimming remains pleasant. Then there is the service. The staff is really friendly but these young people lack experience. In addition, many speak poor English which sometimes causes misunderstandings. But they are so nice that in the end it is not so serious, you have to know how to be tolerant, with time things will improve. In short, I would stay there again!

Calm and quite! Prefect place to vine down and relax. Excellent snorkling possibilities along the pier and nice sun beds and bar at the pier. Good pool as well for all ages. Covid has hit the island hard and the resort is in need of guests and some thorough maintenance. Some renovation is ongoing but the silent years has left its mark. Hopefully they will rebound because the resort is really nice. Definitely worth to visit!

Recommended by a friend I went to this place full of expectations for a quiet stay with no hustle and bustle to deal with - as Bangkok is getting insane these days. I've got what I needed. Being a part of a group of like-minded people we settled in this sanctuary of nature, calm and good, fresh, natural food. The Italian owner was were helpful and we soon feel like a big family. I will have those couple of days engraved in my memory forever!

Rooms and site is great but service is way below standard BUT FIXABLE IF THEY JUST GET RID OF PHONES AND SMILE … everywhere else in SE Asia staff are told no phones on duty and the smiles in SE Asia are contagious … To The Sea needs to get their act in order … 1. 55 year olds had to navigate when get off a speedboat along a narrow bridge .. No one greets you .. very scary 2. Staff on their phones 24/7 at the bar, main desk, dining room .. constantly having to disturb staff on their phones to get water, their attention Breakfast is at 7 but staff are so busy on phones it doesn’t start till 730 and even then food is all stock … chilis and condiments empty day one still empty day 4 3. Staff at bar more interested in their phones then serving staff. We were inconveniencing them 4. ONLY Mr Green seems interested to do his job of the waiting staff. Staff need some supervision to get off their phones and get to work 5. Staff at free water toys need to get off phone and assist with booking, moving boats etc .. New guests need assistance navigating over the rocks 6. Cleaning staff and groundskeepers are AMAZING ..they actually smile and maintain the property the best on the bay The site is amazing The rooms are amazing The grounds are amazing BUT be ready to eat next door for service !!!
Koh Kood Garden House

The hotel is cheap. Everything you need is there. Air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, shower with heater. Everything is in working order. Of the minuses: The owners are good-natured, but not active. There are very few guests, but when we arrived, no one was really waiting for us either; The rooms in the photo look larger, but in reality they are very small; The bed linen is extremely worn; No toilet paper; The restaurant practically does not work, because there are very few tourists; Without a bike, there is no need to consider this housing option at all. Pros: If you need a budget hotel and you use a bike, then it will do for a couple of days.
