Koh Tao Hotels with Airport pickup service

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay here. The location of the hotel is amazing, on the beach along a very busy ***** of restaurants and beach bars which was great. However, the hotel itself was sadly a let down. The hotel keep whistling birds in cages just outside the hotel rooms so expect to be woken at all hours by birds whistling louder than we could believe. The room we were in was very basic to the point where the only plug socket was by the front door, so to dry my hair I had to stand at the front door with no mirror or chair… The shower was a fixed height (very low) so my partner had to be on his knees to wash his hair and I had to bend significantly despite not being very tall. The room was very dark with basically no natural light at all throughout the day. The bedding was just a thick blanket, that I imagine isn’t washed between guests, in between two loose sheets so the blanket kept coming out of the sheets. The toilet was very temperamental and wouldn’t always flush properly. One positive is that the air con was strong however to circulate the air we also had the fan on and this made an annoying screeching noise when it turned to a certain point, which again, woke us up during the night. We didn’t have breakfast because we had a look at what was on offer and decided to go elsewhere as there are lots of nice local places to eat. The staff also weren’t the most pleasant and even got our dates confused when we checked in. Sadly wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Spacious and clean room. A little far from the swimming pool, at the bottom of a path. Very pleasant staff except for a haughty and impolite person at reception who speaks as badly to the staff as to the customers. Great breakfast buffet!

The service at the Tarna Align resort is impeccable. They keep you in touch via Whatsapp and are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Golf buggies take you anywhere you want to go into Sairee and then bigger vans for the pier. They provide good amenities eg toothpaste. We stayed in a Villa Sea View room which had absolutely stunning views and a great balcony. It was a short trip into Sairee for walks in the day or for night time activities. The only downside was the room. 1. It was incredibly dark with all the lights on at night with no option to have brighter lights on. 2. The bedside table is a small floating shelf next to the bed and sloped downwards so in the night things would fall off onto the floor. 3. The only way to control lighting and air con was by a panel on one side of the bed which meant if one person fell asleep the other person had to try and get out to get to the panel. 4. Beware of the glass door to the toilet- we both walked into it and bruised ourselves as it was so clean and see through. Could benefit from stickers on it to prevent this. 5. The fridge is right behind the bed and very noisy so we had to unplug it at night to sleep

We stayed for just one night at the Taatoh Seaview Resort. It was quite a journey from Koh Samui. The ferry was fun and Koh Tao was very busy when we arrived. However the hotel had a truck on standby to take us to the hotel. We arrived before the check in time and our room was ready almost instantly. We had the junior suite I think and it was two rooms, one for me and one for my daughter. The beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was perfect. The mosquito nets very pretty and effective. We didn’t get any mosquito bites whilst staying there. The steps down to the beach are extremely challenging for someone my age (see my YouTube video) and the beach is very small. However, this isn’t about the beach it’s about the snorkelling in Shark Bay. My daughter had never done snorkelling and it had been a few decades since I had but we absolutely loved it. The hotel supplied life jackets, goggles, I think there was a small fee for flippers. It was brilliant. The food was lovely. Not expensive. Big hearty dishes. Great shrimps rolls. Amazing curry. The staff were the best but if our stay. From the young man who drove the shuttle service van to the ladies on the reception and all the staff. They were friendly, helpful, funny, relaxed and cool. They really helped make us feel comfortable and welcome. I’ve rated the hotel stay as 5 out of 5. It’s not a luxury Hilton… or a big brand hotel. It’s a quirky, handmade independent hotel in the jungle. It’s not perfect… sometimes it hard work… but put it all together and my daughter and I had the best time. We stayed 1 night. I was really sad to leave. I wanted to stay 100 nights. Chill, relaxed, quirky, challenging location, beautiful experience. By far, one of the best hotels I've stayed in my travels, breakfast was amazing and you can request dishes to be prepared for you like omelettes, pancakes and such, lunch and dinner were delicious and very flavorful, drinks at pool bar were very good and varied. The staff was so nice, helpful and welcoming, I really loved them. I had a Thai massage which helped me with the pain and ”knots” that I had from previous injuries, very professional. This hotel made my experience in Koh Tao 10x better

We originally booked a fan room above the dive shop. When we arrived and realized how hot that was going to be, we asked to be moved to the beach side bungalows with air conditioners. It was well worth the extra price per night. The difference in the bed comfort, the pillows, and the spaciousness of the room and bathroom was pretty dramatic. We had a king bed (two full beds pushed together) and it wasn't as uncomfortable as it sounds. We slept very well each night. The thick curtains completely blocked out most of the light and the air conditioner worked perfectly. We had a fridge and safe in the room and the resort provided 2 bottles of water every day when they cleaned the room. We had a view of the pool and beach. The morning dives leave from the beach right there at the resort making it very convenient to have multiple dives per day. The pricing was reasonable and similar to other resorts in the area, but this place had more of a feeling of camaraderie. We really enjoyed hanging out with the other divers and the employees. The resort is close enough to town to be within walking distance so we went out most every day for shopping/massages/lunch. The restaurant attached to the resort has an extensive menu that is well priced with inexpensive drink specials during happy hour. The pool table is free to use (not the case with other bars in town.) Have Coco make you a margarita and play a game of pool with you (ask him what his favorite shot is.) When it was time for us to leave, the receptionist sat down with us to give us travel tips and places to see for the rest of our time in Thailand. She was very friendly and helpful. We feel like we hit the jackpot with this resort. It had everything we needed, a dive center where I could complete my OW and AOW certifications, restaurant, bar, beach and pool. We will absolutely put this on our list of places to stay in the future when we travel to Thailand again.

We loved this place, the hotel is not far from the pier, we actually walked with children and managed it even in the heat, literally about 5-10 minutes, just turn right out of the pier and walk straight to the end of the road, its tucked away right at the end, fabulous spot. The room we had was amazing, big comfy bed for us, bunk bed for the kids, raised seated area, huge balcony and great bathroom, fridge, tv with cable channels, water, tea coffee provided, hairdryer, towels and room kept clean daily. The pool was a great size, you get towels from reception. The staff are all lovely and on hand to help with anything you need, we had breakfast included which was really good, continental selection, food to order (you can choose 2 items off a menu) and good tea/coffee machine and they have proper big mugs! we ate at the restaurant for lunch and once for dinner too and both times the food was lovely and really good value for money. If we ever return to Koh Tao this is definitely where we will stay again, highly recommend.

We booked this place due to the pool area which was big with lots of beds and close to the beach. The room was 1100 Baht per night, which is around £25. Price wise this wasn't too bad when compared to other properties in the area. The room has good air conditioning, kettle and a hair dryer. The beds were a little hard but still fairly comfortable. However, the hotel in general is in dire need of renovation. The rooms had areas of mould and broken tiles. The doors felt fairly flimsy and easy to force. There was jo in room safe either. We noticed the pool area was pretty dirty and the pool itself clearly needed a proper clean. The staff were as helpful as we're used to in Thailand. No mention of the restaurant, laundry, cleaning, checkout or anything other than payment. We booked what was advertised as a free transfer to the ferry, and it wasn't there on time so we had to walk at late notice. All in all, not the best stay. It was great having loungers and the pool, but needs some work to bring it into this century.

First of all a few things 1) the beach is beautiful & lots of room on this bay to walk about / swim. Also the beach is super clean 2) on arrival I didn’t feel the hotel or hotel staff were that friendly. We were waiting to be checked in and instead of explaining the hotel procedures to me & my partner we had to wait till there was more people there and then it was explained in a group so didn’t feel as personal 3) the hotel restaurant was very overpriced & we had to wait ages for staff to acknowledge we were waiting. We did eventually walk over and ask for a menu, all the staff were standing about chatting which is fine but there was a lot of other customers waiting as well including ourselves 4) the rooms are very outdated and I have been to other hotels in Thailand in the same price range and the others were alot more Up to date. You can also hear the neighbours, we were kept up late due to the noise in other rooms ( due to thin walls) and a connecting room that the staff did not undisclosed. There was also no hooks to hang your towels after a shower. We booked a sea view however could hardly see the beach 5) there is a shuttle bus which is free and was really good. As the hotel is far away from other restaurants / bars Overall I would not stay more than one night and was glad I was only staying for one night. I would not recommend this hotel for someone going to koh tao
