Kumarakom Hotels with Pools

Great service, I really enjoyed my time there. The view was so beautiful l, it was mesmerising.The staff were really accommodating and helpful. Priya -fom Alan-f&b Vishnu-Pool,vinaya-FO were the sweetest. The food was great, the chef personally came and spoke to us. We felt really welcomed.

One of our favourite hotels in Kerala! The location and grounds are stunning. Arriving by boat adds a charm to the hotel, ***** with the musical welcome. The staff are all wonderful and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. The rooms are a little dark but comfortable and the outdoor bathroom open to the sky is a nice touch. Lots of complimentary activities including a cooking demonstration and a sunset cruise. Shout out to Prateesh who took us out on an electric bike tour through the village. Using his contacts, we were invited into a village house and the garden of another who was making toddy. Prateesh came to find us later in the day, to give us a taste of toddy. Exceptional customer service. The yoga class here was definitely a case of third time lucky on my tour and was well delivered for a mixed ability class. The butterfly garden with the knowledgeable Anjana was another highlight. One of the nicest pools on our trip and most of the time we were there, it was empty. A great hotel I would love to return to.

Our stay at the resort spanned six nights from September 22, 2024 to September 28, 2024. KLR has the most amazing property in Kumarakom which none of the other hotels in the area can match up to. The gardens are well maintained, the rooms are luxuriously comfortable and the authentic Kerala food is to die for. The level of service was outstanding, and the staff were highly trained and maintained a positive attitude from the moment we checked in at the reception, through to the restaurant staff and housekeeping. The resort's welcoming nature and readiness to assist with a smile were evident throughout our stay. The enthusiasm and positive vibes from the team that attended to us made our visit unforgettable. It was one of the most relaxing holidays at a resort where we felt at home. We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to making our stay comfortable. We particularly want to highlight the front office team: Gloria, Krishnaraj, and Front Office Manager Arun, also the restaurant staff: Adith, Gokul, Jobita, Aarthi, Tom, Agya, Hrithik, Mandanai, and restaurant manager Johnny. Chef Prashant curated a special dinner for us every night with mouthwatering Kerala specialty dishes. They all excelled in their roles, treating every guest with a smile. Lastly, we want to mention Kavi, the events manager who not only welcomed the guests when checking in to the hotel, to serving welcome drinks with a smile, to luggage handling, and also organizing the daily evening sunset cruise. Kavi’s photography skills are impeccable and every evening he went out of his way to click amazing photographs of the guests amidst the beautiful scenery. Kavi is truly versatile. Staff members like Kavi are invaluable to any team or organization, as they elevate the overall service quality and image of the resort. We commend the team for their excellent work and look forward to returning to KLR someday. We will share with our friends and family in Bahrain, the warmth and hospitality we experienced at KLR. If you ever wish to visit Kerala and experience the backwaters, KLR should be your only choice. Thank you KLR.

This place clearly is past its prime from the looks of it. Our Deluxe Lagoon view room is past its ‘best by’ date. The furniture is fraying, the mirror has big stains, the room had a stink when we checked in, the aircon works only at one setting - 19 degrees. The woodwork has been shoddily repaired, the glass door has turned yellow with grime. The maintenance and upkeep of the property evidently de***ds serious attention. Sadly, when I attempted to show some pictures of the room to the ***agement, it barely caused any concern. I was informed that the extended Covid lockdown - and the tropical climate and moist air, has taken a huge toll on the property. In other words, we really can’t do much! However, supposedly a revamp of the property is underway - doesn’t help us though. While the explanation maybe valid, the nonchalant response was galling and totally unexpected. And any way, why shouldn’t we, as paying guests, expect better? At breakfast this morning, the papaya was un-ripened, the pineapple was overripe and discoloured. And the best. - they couldn’t find decent, fresh and ripe local bananas to serve! At lunch, the Thai green curry was spicy - so spicy and none of us four could eat more than one spoon. We refused to eat it and asked them to take it back. Yet amazingly, it appeared on our bill - no apologies offered. Naturally, we refused to pay for the dish. Quite eventful first 24 hours.

Having stayed in several resorts, we consider Niramaaya a premium resort. Right from the time we stepped in, we were cared for very well. The lake view room is generous in space and well-appointed. The place was quiet and relaxing except for some music next door on one night (a wedding celebration). The food was excellent, and they even cooked special food considering our diet restrictions. The spa and Sauna were great! Very well worth it! Overall a great experience!

Good experience, overall a good properly, but little bit costly. Ambience good. Food is nice. Service is good. Good service by restaurant and food and beverage department. Even-though we booked for vishu sadhya as we stayed on vishu day, they cancel-led the sadhya due to less order. But the f&b manager mr. Haneef individually informed as about the cancellation but promised that he will arrange a mini sadhya if we require and we agreed and they arranged the same. It was delicious and good service by the entire team. Thank you for making our celebration wonderful

Amazing hotel with great scerene locality.the pool was too good.enjoyed every moment of our stay.would love to come back.the hotel and the surrounding is very clean and green.The kumarakom destination itself is a must visit.
