This hotel is truly a hidden gem! Everything from check-in to check-out was incredibly smooth. The room had great natural light and a cozy atmosphere, and you could really feel the attention to detail. The staff were warm and friendly without being intrusive. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again for my next trip!
The room was very clean, and the front desk staff were warm and attentive. They recommended many fun places nearby. The hotel is very close to the Yunnan Provincial Museum, only about two to three kilometers away. Guandu Ancient Town is also right next door. There's also a large wholesale market nearby, which is great for shopping. It's also very close to Dounan Flower Market. I visited all these attractions, and they were excellent. I highly recommend staying here. Getting around is also very convenient, with a subway station right next to the hotel. The hotel's facilities and environment are also great; there's a self-service laundry room on the 6th floor, which is very convenient for drying clothes. On the 1st floor, there's also a free self-service flower tea bar with many varieties to choose from.
Our stay here was fantastic! As soon as we walked in, we noticed the clear transportation guide by the lobby entrance. We wanted to explore at night, and the lovely staff member recommended Xinyazhou Sports City. It's super close, just one stop on Metro Line 1, about a kilometer away. We found tons of food and a lively nightlife there, perfect for young people!
I chose this accommodation for a trip, and the overall stay was very healing. The room layout is simple and comfortable, the sanitary details are in place, and the corners are cleaned up. The environment is quiet at night, and you can have a good rest after a day of running. The staff is gentle and caring, and will not overly disturb, but responds quickly when needed. The location is convenient to travel, and it is easy to find food and go shopping around. There is no overmarketing grand configuration, it is better than being reliable and cost-effective. The fatigue of the journey is very good to relax here. It is a very satisfying stay. I will give priority to staying next time.
A perfect stay, this hotel is a must-choose when visiting Kunming! I came to Kunming for a business trip this time and specifically chose the deluxe king room at e-shen Hotel. My stay truly exceeded expectations!
As soon as I entered the room, I was amazed. The layout was spacious and bright, with light-colored soft furnishings paired with wooden floors, giving it a minimalist yet high-quality feel. The two-seater sofa in the living area was very comfortable. During the day, I could relax in the sun, and in the evening, I could curl up on the sofa to watch shows – it felt just like home. The bed was an even bigger highlight! The mattress was neither too soft nor too hard, and the duvet was fluffy and breathable. Even I, someone who struggles to sleep in new places, had a peaceful night's sleep. The bedding is changed for each guest and felt exceptionally clean; the attention to detail is truly impressive. What surprised me most was the 270° city view floor-to-ceiling window! During the day, with the curtains open, the entire cityscape of Xin' Asia Sports City and Luosiwan was visible, and on a sunny day, it was perfect for photos. In the evening, I could sit by the window and watch the sunset, which truly cured a day's fatigue.
I must also praise the front desk service. Check-in was quick and thoughtful, and they proactively reminded us that the hotel offers special Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles for lunch. They even gave us a small souvenir upon check-out, really perfecting all the little details. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, this e-shen Hotel is an excellent choice in Kunming. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Kunming!
Considering the reasonable price, the facilities are generally acceptable. Hygiene is passable if you don't nitpick too much. All evaluations must consider the overall value; the breakfast selection and taste are acceptable for this price range. What needs improvement is the front desk service and attention to detail. Guests are diverse, and it's impossible to please everyone. Some prefer convenient rooms near the elevator, while others prefer quieter rooms away from the elevator. During the off-season when rooms are plentiful, there's no need to go against the grain. Overall, the hotel is stayable, but staff training definitely needs improvement.
The hotel is located within a building, and parking right outside is very convenient. However, the cleanliness at the building entrance is really poor. Upon entering the hotel floor, there's a stale carpet smell that I hope they'll address. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic. The facilities and equipment are quite good, just a bit old. (Also, for those who aren't used to high pillows, it would be great if two lower pillows could be provided.)
Next to the south bus station and some places to eat late but the location is all it had.
I booked a non-smoker room but the room had such a strong smell of cigarette, even in the bathroom or bedsheets. I asked if I could have a non-smoker room but they told me they only have smoker room. Maybe is it like this in China, or Trip App labelled the wrong way, but that wasn't what I booked.
Carpet and fabric chairs seemed to have cigarette holes all over, giving the impression that is was dirty and runned down.
Nevertheless, bed was confortable and room was quiet.
This is my second stay at this hotel, and I want to share my thoughts!
First, let's talk about the location and transportation convenience. The hotel is ideally located near a metro station, shopping areas, and several attractions (like Luosiwan Business City and the Flower Market). There's an abundance of dining, shopping, and leisure options nearby, all within walking distance or a short drive. The hotel offers 24-hour parking with ample spaces, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. Some guests mentioned how far the hotel is from Kunming Station, but it's basically just over ten minutes away! The hotel is in the city center, making it easy to get anywhere.
Now, about the hotel service. The hotel generally provides high-level service. The staff are enthusiastic, dedicated, and respond very quickly. They handle check-in and check-out efficiently. Some female guests can even borrow umbrellas, as I was one of them! The hotel also offers laundry service for all clothes. Throughout all services, the hotel prioritizes its guests (e.g., providing disposable amenities, handling unexpected requests). This being my second stay, the hotel staff are highly efficient and the front desk is warm and can help you with things you might not even think of!
Room facilities! The rooms are generally very clean and odorless. The bedding is soft and comfortable. All room types come with smart voice prompts, and the bathroom features a wet/dry separation. The toiletries are comprehensive and all of the highest quality, ensuring hygiene and safety! The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, creating a comfortable environment that feels just like home! The sleeping environment is great, and the room layout is very beautiful, giving it a homely feel.
Hotel experience. The hotel's dining includes Yunnan's Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, Small Pot Rice Noodles, Lamb Rice Noodles, Yunnan steamed buns, Yunnan potatoes, and many other dim sum items. The soup bases are delicious, and the ingredients are rich, considered top-tier in Yunnan – authentic and tasty! The breakfast offers a wide variety, combining Chinese and Western options, with freshly fried eggs, many types of specialty rice noodles, and over sixty dishes in total – anything you can imagine! The hotel also has various private rooms and tea-drinking areas. Since this was my second stay, I'm quite familiar with the hotel and tried everything. There's a free gym. And if you don't want to eat at the hotel, they even provide free transportation to take you out for meals or other activities!
I'm writing this review hoping that all guests will have the best possible experience when they stay at this hotel! I hope all my friends and family have a good experience and don't choose wrongly! Although this was my second stay, I will definitely stay at Huali International Hotel again if I get the chance! A different experience, a different life! Don't make the wrong choice; stay at Huali International Hotel! 👍🏻👍🏻

You’re getting 5 star services for price of a 2star.
Very clean and have most amenities for a pleasant stay.
When I checked in I contact the owner enquiring if a fridge is available as I need to keep my medications cool. She immediately arranged for one and the fridge was delivered to my room within 30 minutes.
On the second day the housekeeper forgot to leave drinking water. When I returned in the night I message the owner and she immediately had some delivered!
Very impressed by the high level of cleanliness and services provided.
Would most definitely stay again next time I’m in this neck of the woods
Thank you for a most pleasant stay.
The hotel is right next to Luoshiwan and very close to Kunming South Railway Station subway station, about a ten-minute walk. The hotel has an elevator. The room is not big. There is breakfast, but the breakfast variety is too simple. There are noodles and white porridge, eggs, small steamed buns, and no stir-fried dishes. It would be better if the breakfast could be richer.
The hotel is on the 16th floor of the apartment building, and the other floors are other homestays. There is no front desk, self-service accommodation. You need to scan the QR code on the door to enter the public security system accommodation registration. Scan the code to add the hotel butler, contact online and get a password lock to enter the room. The room should be a one-bedroom apartment, a Chase room. The interior is larger than the average hotel, with washing machines, refrigerators and wardrobes. There are snack bars and supermarkets near the hotel. Opposite the southern bus station.
The six of us are not Chinese. When we arrived from Dali, the receptionist told us our booking had been cancelled. I asked why, and she simply said bookings can be cancelled but could not give any reason.
I was honestly shocked — in more than 20 years of travelling, I’ve never experienced anything like this.
When she realised I wasn’t going to accept that explanation, her attitude changed immediately. She then asked for our passports to register us and started flipping through every page, as if we were suspicious or illegal travellers. That was also a first for me. We travel often and hold passports that are widely recognised worldwide, so this treatment was quite surprising.
From this experience, I feel that if you are not firm, they may take advantage and cancel your booking, leaving you stranded. It’s quite worrying, so please be cautious.
Also, the reception was unable to assist with booking transport to the airport, so we had to arrange everything ourselves.
That said, we chose this hotel mainly because of its location near the wholesale market and its affordable price. The bed was comfortable, housekeeping was decent, and there are plenty of food options around the wholesale market.
This hotel is perfect for tourists visiting Kunming. It offers free parking, making it super convenient for those driving. The rooms are economical, clean, and tidy, with powerful air conditioning for a comfortable stay. The transportation is excellent, close to the subway station, making it easy to get to the city center and various attractions. There are many shopping malls nearby, making shopping super convenient, and there's a lively night market in the evening with a wide variety of delicious food and snacks, allowing you to fully experience the local atmosphere. It's truly a great value choice and highly recommended!
The room hygiene is OK, but the facilities are old, the windows cannot be closed, the room has a taste, and the price is still close to the people. The service was good the day before yesterday, and the facilities may be better under the upgrade.
