Guest UserThe room was clean and I appreciated having a window. The front desk service was excellent. I found out upon check-in that there's a zoo nearby, a flower cake shop, and places to eat 'Guoqiao Mixian' (Crossing the Bridge Noodles). The location is also great, making it convenient to get everywhere. It wasn't noisy at night, so I slept well. The value for money is good. There are also plenty of delivery options, including local specialties. The only minor drawback is that water from the sink in the bathroom doesn't drain automatically, so the floor gets wet and stays that way.

Guest UserFive-star praise! The experience of bringing a baby is particularly comfortable. The room was cleaned very clean, there was no smell, the space was spacious, the stroller was placed without pressure, the sound insulation effect was good, and the baby was not easy to be disturbed when sleeping. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the hot water is stable and sufficient.
The front desk staff was gentle and courteous and checked in efficiently. The hotel is strategically located and conveniently located. The surrounding area is convenient for travel and complete living facilities. The overall quiet and livable, the health details are in place, it is very suitable for temporary stay with the baby, the room is also very design, and the price is very high.

Guest UserThe best thing about this hotel is its location. It's right by Wenglin Street, which has lots of great shops to explore, and Cuihu Park, so you can just wander around comfortably. The walls also have a lot of helpful tips and guides, which are really valuable.
The rooms are relatively new and clean, but try to avoid rooms on the first floor. There's a chance you'll get the one right by the entrance, and you won't get a good night's sleep with people coming and going and chatting in the common area. After talking to the staff, we switched to an inner room, which was much better, although it was very damp. I'm not sure if it was because of the humid weather (like 'Huinantian'), but the floor was wet.
Finally, and I can't stress this enough, **DO NOT** use the shampoo and conditioner provided by the hotel. I was lazy and didn't use my own shampoo, opting for theirs and even the conditioner. My hair immediately became super dry and tangled! It was fine again after I used my own shampoo later.

RyanMoriartyFive stars, highly recommended! This is an old, established state guesthouse in Kunming that you absolutely must stay at. Its heritage, views, and service are all top-notch.
The location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. Open the French windows and you're greeted with lake views and weeping willows. In autumn and winter, you can even spot red-billed gulls. Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy are within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring the old city without much travel.
The hotel's design was partly conceived by I.M. Pei, blending new Chinese style with retro Art Deco. The lobby's gilded lotus sculpture, rosewood carvings, and vintage staircase create an incredible ambiance. The gardens are tranquil and elegant, and every photo you take captures the unique, understated elegance of a historic five-star hotel.
Service is gentle, understated, and perfectly balanced, never intrusive. Upon check-in, guests receive fresh flowers and welcome fruits, and the room is refreshed daily with Yunnan-style floral arrangements. Turndown service includes peach gum and white fungus soup, along with seagull-shaped cookies – thoughtful details that truly shine. The 24-hour butler service is on-call, and staff members politely greet guests, always professional and sincere.
The room comfort exceeded expectations. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent. During the dry season, the whole-house humidity control system is a lifesaver, especially for those with allergies. The bathroom features a built-in TV in the bathtub and electric privacy glass. All mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's even freshly ground Yunnan small-grain coffee, adding a distinct local touch.
Breakfast is served in the lake-view restaurant, offering a rich variety of authentic dishes, including freshly prepared Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, 'posu bao' (flaky steamed buns), and rose 'naiba Jiu' (a local milky wine). Dining by the lake creates an exceptional atmosphere. The accompanying heated pool is clean and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation.
Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is perfectly suited. Its century-old refined quality is irreplaceable. I will definitely choose Cuihu Hotel again on my next visit to Kunming!

IceymeitianxiangchuquwanThe room facilities are a bit old, but the location is great and it offers good value for money. This morning, my child was still asleep, and breakfast ended quite early. I wanted to pack some food for my child, but I was refused ❌. They insisted the child had to come down to eat. However, it was already nearly 9:30 AM, and I explained that my child hadn't woken up yet. This inflexibility, compared to other hotels, was a negative experience.

Guest UserI snagged a special offer for 200 yuan a night. I was a bit worried about this older 4-star hotel being run-down, especially after seeing some negative reviews mentioning that, but I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room! First off, there was absolutely no strange odor! Usually, older hotels like this have rooms steeped in cigarette smoke, but not this one! The room was also very tidy and clean, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. They provided an incredible amount of bottled water! I've never seen a hotel so generous with water before, which I really appreciated. Two of us couldn't even finish it all in two days. The kettle was also quite clean with no scale. I immediately extended my stay. This price and location are truly a steal – it's convenient to get anywhere, and there are eateries, fruit stands, and a supermarket in the alley next door. I'm extremely satisfied! The only minor drawbacks were that the trash bin outside hadn't been emptied when I checked in – perhaps an oversight during cleaning. Also, the shower door had a slight issue and didn't close properly, causing water to splash outside when showering. It would be great if they could fix that promptly. All in all, I'm very happy with my stay for this price 👍🏻

The twin room was located on the side of the room, making it very quiet. The beds were significantly larger than the double beds. The staff were very patient and accommodating to our needs each time. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around, and it's also very affordable! Recommended.

Guest UserJust checked out of the hotel, let me tell you about my experience. The rooms are all king-size rooms. The space is not big, but they are hygienic, clean, and the interior design is exquisite. The facilities are a bit old, but it does not affect the accommodation experience. The location is good and the price is affordable. Convenient travel. There is one shortcoming, and I would like to remind everyone that its rooms are all on the second floor, and there is a flight of stairs that is not friendly to friends with heavy luggage. The difficulty of climbing stairs should also be considered if there are elderly people. Hope this helps you guys
