Hotels in Railway Station Area, Kunming

Excellent! A very new hotel, conveniently located near the train station. It was an easy walk, even with kids and luggage. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, providing special slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste for the little ones. Coffee and drinks were also unlimited. I used to primarily stay at Lavande, but their standards are slowly declining. This is a fantastic new holiday option, a perfect 5 out of 5! The room was also exceptionally clean, and they even provided eye masks and earplugs – such thoughtful details! The bath and body set was great too; it didn't leave my skin dry or with a greasy residue, nor did it have a cheap, artificial fragrance. Just excellent! And the smart toilet… almost forgot to mention: you can grab alcohol wipes, dental floss, lotion, and more at the exit when you leave. The breakfast was also very diverse, with both Chinese and Western options. Keep up the great work! I'll definitely stay here again when I'm passing through Kunming.

## Environment: The overall experience was very good. It's very close to Kunming Station, just a short walk away, making it convenient for sightseeing. The room's screen mirroring feature allowed us to watch live programs, which was great for catching up on news in the evening and learning about Yunnan's local customs and culture. Our 'Xiaozhu' king-sized bed room had no windows, but it wasn't a big deal since we only stayed there at night. The only minor inconvenience was not knowing what time it was in the morning when waking up. ## Service: The staff were very friendly, and we could store our luggage at the front desk. ## Hygiene: Generally, it was clean, although there were some dirty marks on certain parts of the walls. ## Facilities: The bathroom was a three-fixture design, and amenities like a hairdryer, air conditioning, and projector were all provided and quite new. However, the hot water for the shower sometimes took a long time to heat up in the evening, which they attributed to our room being on a higher floor. Overall, the experience was very good, and it offered great value for money. Waiting for the elevator to the 19th floor sometimes took a while, and the soundproofing was decent. For the price, it was definitely worth it.

Facilities: This is an older five-star hotel with retro yet luxurious facilities. Cleanliness: The bedding and bathroom were very clean. Ambiance: The hotel hallways, with their warm lighting and wood-textured walls, along with the plush carpets, made me instinctively quiet my footsteps. The bedding was also very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a peaceful rest. Service: The service was very good and satisfactory.

Our family chose this hotel as our first stop in Kunming during our Yunnan trip, after comparing several options. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We stayed in Kunming for two days, and they even offer a special car service to Kunming Station for our next destination, Dali, which you just need to book a day in advance. The hotel is conveniently located less than a 10-minute walk from the subway, and there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. We'll definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Kunming.

The seamless connectivity makes commuting to the high-speed railway station or exploring local attractions entirely hassle-free. A standout feature is the generous room size. In contrast to the typically cramped city-center accommodations, the rooms here are remarkably spacious and thoughtfully designed, providing an ideal sanctuary to unpack and unwind. What truly elevates the stay, however, is the exceptional service. The entire team is polite, attentive, and deeply committed to guest satisfaction—with a special shoutout to the housekeeping staff, whose hard work and helpful attitude did not go unnoticed.

Kunming Jinjiang Hotel, in my memory, is one of the classic old hotels in Kunming. When I was a child, I used to pass by and just look at it from afar, wishing I could stay there someday. I never thought that this time, I finally brought my mother and daughter to stay here. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The moment I walked into the lobby, I felt a comforting warmth, just like coming home. What was particularly thoughtful was that they even prepared snacks specifically for my child. We truly appreciated this small gesture. To be honest, by today's standards, it's not a luxurious or trendy new hotel. However, the rooms are immaculately clean, and every detail makes you feel comfortable and at ease. When checking in, the staff even brought us three warm bowls of tremella soup with fresh fruit, which instantly soothed the fatigue from our journey. The location is absolutely perfect, right on Beijing Road. Stepping out, there are all sorts of local snacks nearby, and bus stops are close by, making it very convenient to get anywhere. When I come back to Kunming in the future, I would still choose Jinjiang Hotel. It's not for anything else, but for this sense of comfort and the warmth that feels just like home.

The separate wet/dry bathroom was impeccably clean, the Wi-Fi speed was excellent, and the service was polite and attentive. It's less than a 5-minute walk from the train station, which is super convenient whether you're traveling for leisure or business.

I stayed in this hotel for one night on my half way to Dali. Located close to the railway station. The hotel looks new. Everything is clean. The room and facilities were in very good condition. This is a budget please, perfect for short-time stay. The neighbourhood doesn’t look very pretty but more close to the real life in China😀

I had a very pleasant stay at Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kunming Guandu. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with friendly and helpful staff who made the stay enjoyable. The room was spacious, cosy, and had everything I needed. The location is also convenient for getting around Kunming. Overall, it was a great experience with good value for money. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Kunming.

We booked a day and ended staying here for a week, most touched by the good services offered by some of the staff at the front desks. Although the challenges remain as the personal changes time to time, some were unable to help or given wrong information, nevertheless, they have been most helpful. I like the way they resolve the problem of the limited (only one) washing machine, but assisting in queueing the guest's laundry, and retriving them when done. This save us much time to spot an empty washing machine. The location is not amazing despite about 300 m+, it has no stopping point for vehicle, grabs often refuse to pick or stop near to the hotel. Getting on and off also risks knocking by the many fast moving vehicals on the inner lane. Hotel adjacent to a construction, and train, expect the noise, good to have double layer windows which cut the noise significantly. We love the interior of the hotel being simple and space effective. We decorate it with flowers (very cheap here, just last for a day or few). Cleaniness is good, minus occasionally get a fast cleaner than skipping hidden areas and forgetting to reprenish items. It has almost no facilities, the computer turn on was too slow that I have never stay until seeing it ”on”. Breakfast nicely serve with some pastry and typical noodles, though everyday almost identical, for short stay, it makes no different. Great to have soya and coffee for the morning too.
