Four Seasons Hotels in Kyoto

Overall was okay, a bit far from Kyoto staion. But, hotel has shuttle bus every 20 mins and make it more convenient. Service and amenities were nice. The worst part was humidity of the room and cleanliness (quite low compared to Japanese standard), plus bedsheets were smelly.

My booking was initially for a 46m² Connecting Room but was informed by hotel that my reservation was for 28m² Standard Quad Room. Chose to proceed after Trip proposed a solution. Hotel Location is very convenient, so near to Kyoto Station. There is a nice lounge area that provides free beverages for hotel guests between 2-8pm. Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the Hotel buffet beakfast too. Hotel even provided luggage storage for us (till 8+pm) after we checked out. We really enjoyed the stay at the hotel!

Loved that there is eel rice for breakfast!! Unlimited and delicious!! The location of the hotel is the best! It’s located in the center of shopping area kyoto! The only downside is that there is no parking space so we need to park our car at the nearest coin park (around 5mins walk) and it costs us 3000¥ per car! The rooms is pretty well designed and its clean and well maintained There is a bathtub in the bathroom so we get to soak our feet at night after all the shopping!

Prime location at Kyoto, few steps away from train and bus station. Not the newest hotel but well maintained facilities, TV could link with Netflix, bravo!

Beautiful hotel, right in the shopping district, 5 min walking to Nishiki market very close to Gion, and the river just behind the hotel. The Onsen was Definitely one of the highlights in our trip, just what we needed after long walking day. The Roof bar is amazing with view and calm atmosphere I’m goanna definitely recommend this hotel

Room is big and clean. Check-in was fuss-free and location is about 8 mins walk from Kyoto Station. Room is impressive, there is an on-site laundromat which is very useful. There's also iron and ironing board as well as vending machines. We did not use the public bath nor read the many mangas (all in Japanese) there. Definitely will stay again if I return to Kyoto.

I have read good reviews before deciding to book this hotel. It was the perfect choice. The staff is very welcoming. The amenities are provided at the hotel lobby. You are free to take what you need. The hotel is opposite Kyoto station. One particular staff stands out - Ms Kurita who provides good customer service. I am traveling with my elderly father and has difficulty walking. When the predicted typhoon in Japan, I have asked Ms Kurita for help and assistance and see what could be the best way to reach Kansai airport without any issues. She checked and said limo bus would be perfect and about 5mins away from hotel. I am impressed with her working and helpful attitude. I will book this hotel again if I come back in another season. One of the best hotels we have stayed in ever! Absolutely stunning design of hotel from Outside to in, layout, attention to detail, all made from natural materials. Location was great, less than 10 min taxi to Kyoto Station, handy for the rainy days we had and heavy suitcases too! There’s even a shop downstairs selling their own brands, unfortunately we didn’t have the time to check it out, but from trying their teas in the room provided, I can tell their products are great! Staff were polite and very helpful. We were even upgraded to a room with a balcony! What a treat. Will absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend!
