New, clean, modern hotel. The room for three was quite spacious and comfortable, which is rare for Japanese rooms) There is a cafe/bar downstairs where you can have breakfast or spend the evening. The staff is friendly, there is a washing machine on each floor. Clean towels, tea, and hygiene items can be taken as needed in special places on each floor. A very quiet hotel both in itself and in location, but at the same time close to Gion and other atmospheric areas for a walk. The metro is also about 10-15 minutes at a calm pace. Highly recommend.

Loved the space in the room the way it was organized and the staff. They have staff from all over the world which we found enchanting plus they were very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was lacking in choice and it was very difficult to get what you wanted for breakfast after the eggs Benedict ran out. That was my only complaint.

The hotel staff were lovely and so helpful. Also, they all spoke different languages which was very helpful.
Place is no frills, functional, and clean. If you’re looking for high-end lavish this isn’t it but if you want a relaxed, hip, centrally located place which isn’t very expensive, stay at the Kabin Kyoto Hotel!
