The room had been remodeled, and apparently I was the first one to stay in it after the remodeling. The water for the sink was off, so I got a pliers from my car and turned it back on from underneath. The sink drain plug was disconnected, so I had to reassemble it. The air conditioning unit had no knobs, so I notified the clerks, and one located some knobs and fixed that problem. While she was in the room I told her about the water issue and then discovered that the sink drain leaked, which I showed her. I showed her there were no hangers, and she could not find any that would fit the bar. As I prepared to go to bed I turned on the AC and found that it thumped every five to ten seconds. I turned on the bathroom fan to drown out the noise, but the fan made a loud racket, so I had to turn it off. When I booked the room, through ***********, I asked it the had military discounts. I was told to ask for that when I checked in. When I checked in, they said they give discounts for veterans, but that they couldn't give me one because I didn't book directly with them. Several days later I complained to Motel 6's customer service, but they said the manager claimed the clerks denied that I ever brought any problem to their attention. I was told to contact the manager, which I did, but she told me the same thing and refused to give me the owner's email or the names of the clerks so I could speak with them. I told the manager it seemed that my only option was to write a review about my experience, and she replied: "I know how to take care of negative reviews."
