Very comfortable hotel room and a great location, within walking distance of Old Town etc. Lausanne is a hilly city so keep that in mind. Retro feel but very clean and charming. We enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff, we were able to store our luggage for the day as we had a late departure. Delicious buffet breakfast.

Near to train station but quiet and safe area. the other side of the hotel and walk for 15 mins is shopping area. Anyway still convenient to take metro instead of walk. Hotel give free travel card. Spacious clean and lake view room. Mini convention lift.

Ich habe eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht. Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, man muss aber relativ gut zu Fuss sein, denn man muss eine Treppe hinaufsteigen, um zur Avenue Sainte-Luce zu gelangen. Es ist ein älteres Haus, aber sehr gut erhalten, mit netten, ruhigen Zimmern (vom Korridor in die Zimmer hat es zwei Türen, was es ruhiger macht), alles war sehr sauber. Bequemes, funktionelles Badezimmer, die Dusche hat einen guten Wasserdruck. Mein Zimmer hatte keine Klimaanlage, aber einen Ventilator, der seine Arbeit gut machte. Das Bett war mittelmässig bequem, das WLAN sehr gut. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit recht grosser Auswahl, sehr leckerem Brot und frischem Fruchtsalat. Freundliches Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksraum. Beim Einchecken erhält man die Lausanne Transport Card zur kostenlosen Nutzung der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in Lausanne. Sollte ich wieder mal nach Lausanne reisen, würde ich dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

We found this hotel in a Rick Steves travel guide for Switzerland. His description is accurate. Awesome location near the train station. The upper floor rooms do have a view of the lake. The front desk staff was pleasant and friendly. The rooms are a decent size. We had two family rooms. The decorating is not up to date and the appliances like the hair dryer are also dated (no big deal, every thing was functional). Breakfast is fairly basic and the attendant does not ask for your drink order or stop at your table, so you must get their attention. Unless you have an early train, you might want to get breakfast elsewhere. Perhaps we have just been spoiled by the breakfasts at multiple Italian hotels (large variety and attentive hosts).
