Quaint motel with double soaking tub filled by hotspring in bathroom. Clean and well decorated despite being a historical hotel . Convenient drive to door. Beds comfortable roo. Very small ,no room for suitcase. Coffee is in main lobby. Convenient location in walking distance to anything in fun town

Hotel is in good location but a bit noisy, small room with only fair bed comfort. Steep stairs to get to second floor. Not hotel's fault but you get gouged staying in Lava. 8% sales tax expected but 3% city tax, 4% tourism tax and the worst another 4.5% resort fee tax. Be prepared to shell out a lot in tax.

Historical building was cute. The room we stayed in was a disappointment bed was uncomfortable, no ventilation really in the room, no vanity or towel rack, broken chair, large tub with a toilet in the room. It was 136 dollars for a dumpy room.

Don't book with *******. I bought insurance only to find out it didn't cover me when my work schedule changed and I needed to re-schedule the reservation. It's very misleading and I'm not sure what it's good for. I called the hotel directly and they gladly changed my dates. She was awesome, so book this place direct with the hotel

They were accommodating the facility is convenient for our stay, and it was only about 300 feet from the Lava Hot Springs. We enjoyed it and would recommend it to our friends.
