Hotel was really close to everything we wanted. Arena and main shopping streets. Place was tidy and pretty clean. Would recommend for a cheap stay 😊

The carpet was dirty, the bed sheets were dirty and clearly had not been changed from the previous guests. The exit was via a fire escape and a metal gate which when we went to exit was open so anybody could have come in. The shower was leaking water where the hose connect to the electric unit so there was the extract excitement that I could have been electrocuted. My advice on this place is avoid avoid avoid

Picture this: you book a room based on lovely photos, only to find out the photographer deserves an Oscar for best special effects. The single beds are scattered across three floors like a scavenger hunt, and doubles? The mattresses are so bad they’d be rejected by a medieval dungeon. Even after copious amounts of hen do cocktails, the beds were so uncomfortable that none of us could sleep! The bathrooms were a hygiene horror show – no hand wash, soap, or gel, and the sinks were dirty! The furniture? Shabby chic minus the chic. The whole place screamed for a makeover, with a ceiling that seemed one sneeze away from dropping two of us onto the next floor. The walls had more dings than a used car, and the noise outside was like a 24-hour concert. Despite a 12-hour drinkathon, we expected to at least doze off, but nope! And the grand finale? Checking out. Handing in keys was a mission impossible since no one was there to take them. We ended up playing hide-and-seek with the keys and leaving a voicemail. Good luck to the next brave souls checking in!

Perfectly adequate hotel placed between railway station and areana. Good quality room, no problems, great for a stopover for a concert etc. Room was well appointed with a decent sized bathroom, with corner shower. Returning late night is via a back entrance, if pub is closed. No problems.

If you enjoy the experience of walking into an entitled, surly teenager’s bedroom and being greeted like a parent bursting in on a far too cool slumber party then you’ll love the bar staff here. Sorry for interrupting the two bar staff’s private watching the boxing party. Next time, put a poster on the door saying ‘we’re empty tonight because our staff are watching the boxing, please don’t come in.’

Positives - Rooms are spacious and work is currently going on to change the previous horror story reviews. The service we received whilst checking in was great, even allowing us to have our rooms early. Negatives - Only one key per room and door locks regardless of if you go in or out of the room, therefore requiring said key on entry and exit. This makes it tricky for any bigger parties staying who may want to do their own thing. The changes previously made are all cosmetic, mattresses feel hard (pull out bed style) and a girl in the bigger apartment said her bedding was stained. Finally, the reviews lie about the noise, it doesn’t stop at 3am. In fact, it doesn’t stop at all. Windows are permanently latched open so you hear this all night.

Decided to have a drink in this establishment and the beer and other drinks were really good, I must mention an employee who was very polite and helpful when we knocked over a drink. Thank you Grace for your help you are a credit to the pub. On a downside the pub is extremely noisy as it seems some clientele just shout at each other getting louder each time, apart from this a great little pub.

Ella and grace were very friendly and decided to make our experience very nice. They offered us several board games whilst we were at the pub and decided to offer us rooms for whenever we stayed at leeds I. The future. It made our experience much better than we expected.

Let’s start with the positive - great location Negatives - damp walls , poor decoration Odd lounge area with loose curtain rail , broken blinds . No complimentary tea/coffee. Bedrooms have stained carpets , tired old beds - divan beds that sunk in the middles, stained linen and towels. Old tired curtains. Separate shower - we didn’t use . Toilets were clean . No complimentary items except toilet roll . Noisy at night as very central next to bars and clubs but didn’t bother us. We were provided when we asked for 2 pairs of ear plugs for 5 people. Could be a lovely place with an upgrade. Definitely not worth the price.
