Lhasa Hotels with Bars

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

The hotel upgraded our room, provided us with an extra bed, allowed us late check-out and provided smiling/prompt service. Overall a very good experience.

The hotel looks average from the outside but is nice inside. It is close to the Potala Palace. You can go for a walk around the palace if you get up early in the morning. You can see the night view from your room at night, which is great. The restaurant upstairs is relatively expensive in Lhasa. Dinner is OK, and breakfast is average. The hotel has all the necessary facilities. My family didn't have altitude sickness, so we didn't use the oxygen supply.

The location is relatively remote, suitable for self-driving travel. The hotel environment is very good, the service is also good, you can tell the housekeeper if you need anything, mineral water and cola drinks are free to drink, and there are many fruits, all of which are of good quality. Breakfast starts at 7 o'clock, suitable for friends who go out early in the morning

This hotel was originally a Sheraton location, quiet in the middle of noisy, very close to Barkhor Street, 8 minutes walk from the test, very famous in the taxi driver circle. The room is super big, the big bed room has the feeling of a suite, and the current boss has taken over the service quality beyond the average level of domestic brand hotels. Walking in the hotel can also feel the enthusiasm from the staff. Suitable for tourists who are new to Lhasa and don't know where to live.

It was my first time in Lhasa. Xuelong Manor really made me feel the enthusiasm of ******* compatriots at the first time. From the moment we stepped into the hotel door, we were not allowed to touch the suitcases. We were asked to walk slowly and drink rhodiola rosea tea, which greatly relieved our discomfort when we first arrived at the plateau. Especially the two staff members, Ram and Zhao Min, were very enthusiastic no matter how early or late they were. All other staff members we met were also very enthusiastic, and they really made us feel at home. Besides, the decoration and design of the hotel are very *******. You can also experience ******* clothes. In addition, the ******* incense in the corridor smells super good. We originally chose Xuelong for better oxygen supply conditions. I didn’t expect that the experience of both hardware and software facilities was completely beyond expectations! My friend and I felt that we chose the right hotel this time! It’s a pity that the itinerary in Lhasa is a bit full, and I didn’t feel the ******* culture in the hotel. I still feel reluctant to leave today. I strongly recommend it! ! ! If I have the opportunity to come again, I will stay here again! !

I stayed in the cheapest and most common room type. The disadvantage is that although you can see the garden on the first floor, it is not worth seeing. The hotel is relatively large. If the room is arranged closer to the inside, it may take five or six minutes to enter and exit the hotel door. . Anyway, except that there is no bathtub and the bathroom is smaller, other facilities, environment and services in the room are all five-star standards. I was originally worried that the state-owned hotel facilities were old, but that was not the case. They should have been regularly repaired. The toilet is the latest intelligent warm toilet. The Yuyue medical oxygen supply device can diffuse moisture throughout the room at all times. The other furniture and decorations do not have a shabby feel. The toiletries are all in disposable mid-to-high-end small bottles. The hot water for showers is large. It's very hot, fully equipped with clothes hangers, shoe wipers, high-end green tea bags, two large reusable bags, white ceramic tea cups as clean as new, trash cans clean and not covered with plastic garbage bags (it can be said that every trash can is changed, high-end hotel processing method) I don’t know why the platform said that some rooms do not have air conditioning, but my ordinary room also has central air conditioning. The most satisfying thing is the breakfast, which can be said to be six-star. No wonder the separate charge is 98. It can be said that the variety is complete and the taste is good. It includes several kinds of Tibetan snacks, yogurt and butter tea, as well as Chinese and Western breakfasts and drinks. This is surprising, and few state-owned high-end hotels can do this. I happened to be not in a hurry in the morning, so I ate slowly for more than half an hour, and the waiter was also very patient in serving me. Thanks! The room style and hygiene are very good, I recommend staying here. You can make a reservation when you come to Tibet in the future. It is very cost-effective and is located in Baguo Street next to the Jokhang Temple. The service is also very good.

Let me talk about the unsatisfactory things first. On the first day of check-in, I found that the bed sheets and quilt covers were dirty and had hair on them. On the second day, I put on a disposable four-piece set and didn't need to clean the bed covers. But they didn't even clean the sanitation. There was garbage on the floor and it was not cleaned up. However, from beginning to end, a young man with glasses had a good attitude and handled the problem in time, so I gave him four stars for service. There is really no other point worth choosing.

The hotel receives many foreign guests, and the welcome gifts with local characteristics are very exquisite. I bought several small gifts to send back to my friends. The housekeeper Xiao Liu's service is very meticulous and considerate. He upgraded our room. We are three people and gave us a breakfast. The breakfast is very rich. The sky view on the viewing platform on the seventh floor is great for taking pictures of the Potala Palace!!! I originally booked one night and stayed very comfortably. The room was fully oxygenated, and there was not much altitude sickness, so I booked two more nights. Highly recommended👍👍
