WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Liberty

**PLEASE READ I went to Kearney, MO for a friend's wedding. I needed a place to stay so I went to *********** to find a hotel. I saw Woodspring Suites at $89 for the one night which isn't terrible. First impressions when checking in: There was a nice older woman that checked me in coming off of a 14 hour shift. She was as nice as can be. I checked in and went to my hotel room. As I was walking to my room, a group of about 10 teenagers a few rooms away from mine were causing a huge commotion. One kid even walked out of his room naked from the waist down. I ignored everything that happened and went to my room. I walked in and immediately it smelled like old stale cigarette smoke and bleach. I went down to speak to the front desk, and to my surprise it's not even staffed in person after 10pm. I called the after-hours number posted on the door and the man that picked up was the rudest manager I have ever spoke to. I asked to be moved to a new room and he said immediately that he didn't have any other rooms even though the whole parking lot was not even close to being full. The whole hotel smelled like **** even though I was in a non smoking room. Sleeping in the bed was awful. The bed was hard and pillows were way too soft. My back was extremely sore after I woke up and I am only 29 years old. If you have a family or value any common courtesy, this hotel is not for you. Avoid at all costs.

Not everyone has a cell phone. When my husband checked in NOONE THERE SAID THERE WOULD BE A CHARGE TO USE THE PHONE IN THE ROOM!!! It wasn't on the contract, wasn't verbally told to us when he checked in, no where on the wall in the office and no where by the phone in the room did it say there would be a chge for LOCAL CALLS meaning 816 area code. Yes my husband called me alot but didn't know they would chge my card with these LOCAL CALLS!!!! BEWARE if you use the phone you WILL be chged. They kicked him out of his room because the money used for his room was taken out for phone calls!!! What a frickin scam. When they sent my credit card company ( I disputed the chges that I didn't authorize) the list of the phone calls my husband made they put down next to the calls LONG DISTANCE!!!! THATS A LIE. How are calls from area code 816 to 816 long distance!???. They need to remove the phones out of the rooms if they don't verbally tell you when you check in or isn't on the contract. If someone needs to a phone they should go to the office to get one then the management should hopefully tell them there would be a chge!!! What they did is morally wrong!!! I called other hotels and motels and asked if they charge for calls (local) and they acted like the question was absurd!!! There like "NO ALL LOCAL CALLS ARE FREE - NO CHARGE". Woodsprings said to us ""well you should've known the phone is an Xtra amenity" WHAT? So that means using there water, fridge, microwave is Xtra? Don't give them your credit card info!!!!! They will use it without your permission!!! Will never do do business with these scammers again!!!!! Also no smoking in the rooms? That's a joke. If you don't like cigarette smoke or have allergic to cigarette smoke DONT GO HERE!!! BEWARE!!!!!

The rooms we booked were disgusting and covered in bugs, the sheets and shower had poop and hair eveyrwhere and we couldnt even stay the whole trip my kid was bit by something and we will be asking for a refund PERIOD

It was amazing and the employees are all very sweet and awesome

I will never book with you ,again your staff was not helpful an i was told he would call the police on me it was a horrible experience

There was cockroaches not just one or two but a lot of them. I had to clean my own room. The whole thing. And when I asked if they could switch my room they said no

The price was the only thing that drew me to reserve a room. Not a good experience.

I did not like one thing about this hotel. The rooms where dang right horrible. Dirty and uncomfortable. The staff was not friendly. I will never stay with these properties again and I will pass this on to everyone.

The staff were amazing. I am a traveling nurse and have contract there at liberty. It is a nice place to stay and has everything u need. The only problem we can see is it is very difficult to get ahold of anyone at the hotel. Had to cancel last reservation related to testing positive for covid and had to call for two days and alot of unanswered calls emails and messages. They were very helpful once reaching someone but need better way to reach hotel!
