The location of the 民宿 is really convenient，a 1 minute walk from the entrance of 古城. The staff are really friendly and they are willing to go the extra mile. Upon knowing that we are looking for a nice rose cake, they shared the rose cake that they ordered and even helped us to order to the 民宿. They also recommended a store to buy local tea and we even got a discount. Overall, the experience is really good and we will return.

Excellent hotel, great views of the snow mountain and super friendly staff! 10/10 would recommend. The balcony has great views and the hotel decoration is very appealing! Will definitely come back again just for the location and views. They also have very healthy breakfast options that is great for digestion. We have 3 accommodation booking in this trip, and Lijiang Anlu is definitely the best!! From the warm welcome with a complimentary train station pick-up to the luggage carrying service from where the car-stop to the hotel, I already impressed by all the hotel staff. Not to mention when I entered the room which was a hundred percent correct compared to the photos I had seen before. The bed is electrical warmed. The floor is heated. The water temperature is high. The smart toilet is cool. The room is equipped with everything a good hotel should be. I even plan to buy the same hair dryer in the room as it was a very good quality. In addition, the complimentary tea session provided is such an impressive experience before I went to bed and freshly woke up to have the best hotel breakfast for the whole trip. Furthermore, the view from the breakfast spot was breath-taking. The staff also helped me to carry my luggage wand waked to the parking place after checking out. I highly recommended everyone to experience the best services by yourselves. I would definitely stay in Lijiang Anlu again if I have an opportunity to be back to Lijiang again.

Yunxi definitely is the best place we have stayed throughout our 12 days trip. This is mainly contributed by the warm hospitality of 十三少. 十三少is the best host one could have ever asked for. He cautioned us of the landmines to avoid, helped us in our preparation for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain as we have elderly in our group. He suggested restaurants where it suits our Singaporean&Malaysian taste buds and very friendly to our pockets. In the day when we were up at the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, he texted us to check if we were doing alright and if the elderly was feeling alright. In his place, he fed us well with endless supply of pomegranate, pu’er tea, snacks and his secret stash of 白酒. 十三少is more than a host to us, he’s a friend, which we will come back to whenever we are at Lijiang. Cost performance (性价比） is definitely very high with high quality bathroom ware (Kohler), Dyson hairdryer, projector tv, mini washing machine and dryer in the room, comfortable beds and the rooms are super spacious. Basic amenities are all well prepared. We will definitely choose this place again should we decide to come back to Lijiang given the warm hospitality by 十三少。

This is my first time in Lijiang. Mr. Andy contact me days before we arriving from Kuala Lumpur to arrange for pick up at train station. But due to my WeChat aps error, we go to the hotel by DiDi and he picked us from the entrance and helped us with the bags as the old city not accessible direct by car. While we were checking in he made us tea, which was really nice. The hotel is very beautiful, just in the center of Lijiang Old Town. You can go out and stroll. The room and environment is beautiful, comfortable and clean and also all the essential are there. The whole staff of the hotel were really nice and always there for me for all the service that I need especially Mr. Andy. He taking care of us. He helped me reserving a trip to the snow mountain & Tiger Leaping Gorger. Mr. Andy led us to the meeting point in the morning. Very good of him. Mr. Andy arrange driver to send us to the train station on our last day in Lijiang. I highly recommended staying at this hotel and will never regret the experience. Highly recommended hotel if you want to be in the ancient city and not too far away from the main road. Personalised butler service with 小勇 was great! WeChat group was set up before arrival and he helped with arranging the free transport from Lijiang train station to 南门1号 where he is there with trolley to help us with the luggages as the road in the ancient city is bumpy. Super grateful for great service where he went above and beyond working hours to fix up our needs and also introduce scenic routes within the ancient city and recommending restaurants and shopping tips around. He also helped to book our tickets to 玉龙雪山 and 丽江千古情 show. We all loved the animal interaction at the hotel. Hotel has a 1 year plus samoey mixed golden dog name xixi which is friendly and playful. 2 alpacas, brown one is male and white one is female who is more shy. 2 rabbits and 2 peacocks. There are washing machines and dryer for ur laundry needs too. 2 game station. Gym. Library. Pool table. Tea houses. KTV room was good! Tea break and breakfast was also nice. The flat white was legit.

My family and I stayed at the Cathay Old Town Palace Inn for 3 nights and all of us loved it! Prior to booking, we clarified some questions and the elder sister (Sunny) was so helpful and responsive, super patient and answered me every single questions I have asked. After clarifying our doubts, we decided to go ahead and book our stay with them and this is the best decision we have made! A few days before our stay and arrival, the younger brother (Summer) took over and assisted us. The road in the ancient town may be a little tough to walk on, especially with luggage. However, we got zero worries at all because they will arrange to help us with the luggages and even helped us to carry up all the way to the Inn entrance. When we first arrived, we are warmly welcomed by Sunny and Summer, as well as the pretty younger sister (who I didn’t managed to get her name). Summer then served us their local traditional tea and rose cake which was so delicious! Their breakfast (Mixian) was also very delicious, it was so heartwarming to eat during a cold weather. Subsequently, Summer also helped us to book day tours and shows when we requested for help. Also, we would like to say a big thank you to Summer who went extra mile to specially prepare such a pretty rose birthday cake for my mother! She was so happy and surprised by it and we all loved it too. The rooms are cleans and huge. As the ancient town is bustling till midnight, the room we stayed (near windows) might be able to hear some noise from the bars and streets but that doesn’t affect us that much in anyway as we are so tired by the end of the day. Needless to say, they are almost responsive at all times whenever I messaged them to ask something. Their service is really top notch and our whole family can vouch for it as we really enjoyed our stay here. The next time when we visit Lijiang again, we would definitely choose to return to this place to stay and will highly recommend it to our friends and family members. Words can’t even describe how great the level of hospitality we have received on this trip. It felt like China was so warm and welcoming, I want to introduce all my friends and family to visit Lijiang because of this experience. Shout out to one of the boss, Xiang Zi, he’s now our dear friend! I have booked 2 of the bigger rooms, the view was beautiful, well furnished, spacious and clean. The house keeping was good and trustworthy. The cafe has decent breakfast, the drinks are world class. I kid you not, the special drink menu is better than your CHAGEE, and I love CHAGEE. Their barista has been well trained, no wonder my husband speaks highly of the coffee he ordered. The inn also provide photography services, you can just engage their service and avoid the nearby big photography service. I find that outside photography is a scam. Paid about 1300yuan for the whole thing, only had 7 photoshopped photos and 30 other low res original photos. I don’t even like the photoshopped ones. We arrived late at night and had no problem getting to our beautiful room. There were ppl who helped us with our luggages, and we just walked 5mins to our cosy inn. The place is an ancient city, so you get to experience living in an ancient city, with modern furnishings. The view from the room is different and intriguing, the view at the cafe is romantic and calming. There are many hidden spots in this inn that we stayed in, every corner is a photo opportunity. The tea at the reception was the best I have ever tasted. Xiang Zi is a very cultured man, he makes tea, and he make sure everyone knows how to serve tea. We had so much fun here, we even extended another day here because of the owner. I highly recommend this place, not because I’m bias, but because for the price we paid, we have received toooooooo much. We are so grateful for everything for the team has done for us. From providing oxygen when we want to head up the mountain, to doing us a favour to help us to book the snow mountain tickets, to paying for our transport in advance, to helping us find our way and making sure we are safe. We are looking forward to host Xiang Zi when he visit Singapore!

Just right outside the North gate of LiJiang ancient city, high price to value ratio…. Can take cab to the front door of hotel and don’t need to carry luggage inside the bumpy road of the ancient city. Room is spacious amidst it is next door to the popular tourist spot.
