Lijiang Inns

When I came to Lijiang for a trip, I saw the high rating of Muyuntang Hotel on the Internet, so I decisively booked for 4 nights. This time, I came out with my children. The proprietress has a very good personality, she will make tea for us, chat with us, and even bring us Lugu Lake's candied apples. My daughter also likes the proprietress and her apples very much. It is worth mentioning her bedding, soft bed, pillows that look good in photos, and the rice noodles for breakfast are also delicious. The simple and elegant atmosphere of the small courtyard makes people feel happy, and they don't want to go home after living here. Every morning in the inn, I was awakened by the warm yellow sunshine. The entire inn is built on the mountain, and the viewing platform in the middle can see the panoramic view of the ancient city and take pictures. It is also super beautiful. The location is at the intersection of Bailong Square, the first one on the left when entering, super convenient. Basking in the sun, eating apples and drinking afternoon tea, life in Lijiang Old Town is so beautiful. Next time I come to Lijiang, I will choose Muyuntang Inn

The environment of the yard is very good, very suitable for sitting in the yard and basking in the sun when you are free, but unfortunately our schedule was too tight and we didn't have much time to experience it. The B&B is right next to Shuhe Ancient Town. A small road goes directly in, but the car can reach the door of the B&B, which is very convenient for dragging luggage. The service is also very good, and the attitude is also very good. We upgraded to a suite, which is very large and spacious. However, the internal facilities of the room are a bit old, such as the sound of wood expansion and contraction, and the electrical facilities are not very sensitive, but overall it will not affect the living. I will go there again if I have the opportunity. Shuhe Ancient Town is also suitable for a slow stroll.

Everything is absolutely amazing. I enjoyed traditional Chinese architecture of the hotel so much. It feels like being in the Chinese traditional dramas. Location is also very convenient ,over looking the entire Lijiang old town. Staff is exceptional, really they go above and beyond to help and make me feel comfortable. Everyone is lovely, attentive, and always there to help, especially Jimmy. Overall I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough. The staff, the setting, and the services are all top-notch. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for the memories we created there. Thank you to your entire team for making my stay and also my trip in Lijiang so special. ❤️

Really nice designed hotel. The entry, the yard, the room are all decorated nicely. Tranditional style room but facilities are well-prepared & modern. Guest are totally secured to enjoy. (There is also washing machine & garment dryer in public area). Must try for whom prefer Chinese trandiational house/room. Staffs are extremely nice, funny, kind & helpful (especially Xiao Yuan, the guy with blond hair). They advise the good restaurants, good souvenir shop, introduce the tour. Even take us to the restaurant/shop/service shop they introduce, care abt our experience there. We were served welcome drinks (nice tea & flower cakes) so many times & many fresh fruits during 3 days there. Breakfast is simple but really good-taste. High-recomend for the noodle named mixian. Another plus point is the hand-some & friendly 🐶. Our xiao shuai ge😆 Location is also good. Only abt 100m fr the South gate of old town, convenience for taxi approaching. Abt 10’ walking to the center part of old town so you can both enjoy the quiet & peaceful atmosphere of old town as well as the exciting activies in the center. By the way the old town street is tidy, both local citizens & visitors keep it clean. The only thing wish them to improve is shampoo (a bit dry for hair) & water heater (a bit hard to adjust the temperature). Anyway these are just really small things, wont effect to your enjoying.

The views from this hotel are amazing and it's worth staying in this hotel just for the views. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The only negative about the room was that it smelt horribly of cigarette smoke - we were there for three nights and it didn’t go away during that time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable (although a bit harder than we're used to - normal for China though). The young lady who works there (花花 ) was very helpful and kind - she arranged to buy some coffee for us on the first day (as they don’t serve it). She also offered to make us some sandwiches for breakfast if we didn’t like the Chinese breakfast (we did like it, so we declined the offer of sandwiches). After we left she sent us a recommendation for a very reasonably priced but high end restaurant in Baisha which we really enjoyed - by far the best restaurant we've been to so far in our travels in China. We would never have found it without 花花's help as it wasn't in the touristy area of Baisha.

I got to know this hotel through some positive review from other guests and decided to try it out as I am not familiar with this place nor do I know anyone here. Glad that I did as it turns out to be an excellent experience. The hotel location is easy to reach as it is just a few minutes walk from the main road and it is right next to the old town (丽江古镇)。It is also right in front of a beautiful pond. The room is clean and tidy, everything works, breakfast porridge is tasty. But most importantly the hotel management are extremely friendly and helpful – this make my trip so much more easy and enjoyable. Ann (冰冰) is an excellent manager who offered me valuable advises and tips on where to go , what to do, what to avoid and she helps me with all my booking for the side trips – I had an easy time visiting the snow mountain (雪山), Lugu Lake (泸沽湖) and watch the magnificent Lijiang performance (丽江千古情) . All arranged and well managed with Ann’s help. This is so important when we heard so much negative comments about travelling to Lijiang from unscrupulous tour operator but here I am glad I met honest and reliable people. So if you are new to Lijiang and need guidance, I strongly recommend staying here and speaking to Ann. She is candid, transparent and helpful. The hotel is a beautiful place but the people makes the entire experience even more wonderful .

First of all, the yard is well maintained. As shown in the picture, the staff carefully cleaned up the gardening environment. There are also many guest rooms, which is actually not small for a homestay. The location is very good, very close to the East Gate, just a few steps away. It is very convenient if you have luggage or need to transfer. Secondly, the homestay is very serious and attentive, and can actively deal with problems. This time, our trip to Yunnan lasted 10 days, and we only chose a homestay for two nights. We stayed in Diqing Shangri-La for the first two days in Shuhe. When we came here, we happened to meet several couples staying in the hotel to take wedding photos. When I asked the photographer about interfering with our privacy, I had an argument with the shooting assistant. I raised this issue to the platform and the hotel, and both Ctrip and the hotel responded quickly. The hotel upgraded us to a suite on the second floor. We refused the hotel's good intention of free bills, and the hotel sent an apology gift. In short, we felt the sincerity of the hotel and thanked the hotel staff for respecting the opinions and feedback of guests. If you come to Shuhe, I sincerely recommend this yard.

The premise is a traditional Chinese house and has a square garden in the middle. We stayed total 3 nights in 2 different rooms - enjoyed both rooms. The host and crew are lovely, attentive ladies who looked after us throughout the stay. I really appreciate their waiting for us at the entrance of the old town on our day 1 and arranging our taxi to the airport on our last day. Their bedroom, bathroom quality is the best and maintained at the highest level. Rice noodles at breakfast was so good. It is only 5 min walk from the entrance of old town and yet located in a relatively quieter corner of it, couldn't expect better than this.

Advantages: The hotel is in the ancient city, very close to Zhongyi Market. If you stay for three consecutive days, you can pick up and drop off your luggage at the entrance of the market! The ancient city road is not easy to walk, so it is important to have a small car to pick up and drop off your luggage! The boss is very nice. He shared the surrounding food and tour routes as soon as he arrived. If there are any questions, the boss will reply to you in seconds on WeChat! The room is clean and not big. The inn is very quiet in the ancient city. You can reach Mufu after walking for a while. To go to Yulong Snow Mountain, take bus 101 from Zhongyi Market. It only takes 10 minutes to walk from the inn to the station, which is convenient for travel. Unexpectedly, the boss also called a motorcycle for us for free! Disposable cleansing towels and disposable toilet covers were thoughtfully prepared. Disadvantages: The sound insulation effect of the inn is not very good, but it is okay if there are few people in the inn. There is more scale on the shower head in the bathroom of the inn.

The location is right in the middle of the ancient city, and the mushroom banquet is very good! The room in the B&B is very nice. There is a viewing platform where you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The night view of the ancient city is beautiful! The handsome guy at the front desk has a warm and full service attitude! The recommended places are all very good! The house is separated from dry and wet areas, and there is also a large bathtub! Friends who like it are welcome to stay!
