Browns Central Hotel

Cute boutique hotel with a lovely complimentary welcome drink! Very centrally located, easy access to everywhere

The location of this hotel is amazing! It is so central you can walk anywhere you like and always fall back to your hotel if you are tired. The room is compact so be aware if you bring big suitcases as there is limited space yet enough if you bring a carry on or backpack. Bathroom is clean and big enough and the bed is comfortable. Great you get a complimentary bottle of Portuguese wine in the room and the staff was very friendly. The hallways are a bit dark and maybe the big bottle of water could be replenish after the second night of stay. Yet overall a great place and can recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel for my husband’s 60th birthday in July. I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough. The location was perfect, the rooms are beautiful, food and drinks great value and fantastic quality. What really shines through though are the hotel team. Every one of them were wonderful to deal with, so helpful and kind. An absolute asset to the Brown’s hotel group. It was our first visit to Lisbon and we loved it. We got some great advice from the hotel staff on sightseeing and restaurant recommendations which was invaluable. We felt very much that the hotel was a place that you wanted to hang around in. It is a beautiful city centre boutique hotel. No pool but the bar and cocktails were fab and the food menu was excellent. Guests at the hotel also get a reduction on their food and drinks bill too, I think the discount was around 10% which was a really nice gesture. All in all a very stylish, welcoming and quality hotel to stay in whilst visiting Lisbon. Location is truly perfect and is in ‘downtown’ Lisbon just parallel with the main shopping street. We genuinely cannot wait to return to Lisbon in the near future and will definitely stay in Browns Central again. I wouldn’t look for an alternative, it ticks every box. Well done to the Browns Team and thank you for making our stay so memorable.

This was our first time visiting Lisbon and I highly recommend the hotel for it's central location. You're a 10 minute walk away from the river and lots of other tourist places. While it's in a busy location, I felt very safe and you can't hear the bustle from the streets, or at least we didn't in our inner room. The rooms are quite small, it fits a bed and side tables but only has a small walk way around the edge. And the shower did flood a bit it you used the taps on full so just be cautious. Otherwise lovely clean room with no complaints. It has complementary tea/coffee and a free first bottle of water, so make use of those! There is a safe and lots of branded appliances like a Smeg kettle, Nespresso machine and even a speaker! Just to note, the corridors are quite dark and for our door, you had to pull it towards you to unlock it as we did have a little panic trying to get in! The hotel offers a delicious welcome drink which I highly recommend trying. I can't remember what it was but it was delicious! They also offer 10% off food and drink to those staying at the hotel, so if you're wanting some lunch, I'd consider going there. We had lunch there a few times and the portions are very reasonable for the price. For drinks, they also offer a happy hour. I would stay here again. The staff are very friendly, always attentive when you're sitting in the lobby, check in was fast and the are really informative about your stay. From September 1st, there is a tourist tax which was around 4 Euros per person per night in case you aren't aware. Browns hotel is perfect for a weekend holiday or if you're looking to be in a central location in Lisbon!
