I stayed here for 3 nights while working at an event at the nearby ExCel. After travelling from Scotland and spending the afternoon in the centre setting up for an event, I was looking forward to a clean and comfortable room to relax and have a good night sleep in. That’s exactly what I got. The room was bigger than I expected, very comfortably furnished and super clean. I liked being able to open the window as I like fresh air coming in. There was plenty of external noise from both the building site at the back (which my room was facing, but I was out working all day so didn’t bother me), and overheard aircraft. However, I never heard a thing at night with the window closed and I slept really well every night. Breakfast was very enjoyable, good quality, good selection, freshly cooked and well presented. It was ideal for starting my busy days. This hotel was absolutely perfect for my needs. Close to the venue, and a room which was lovely to come back to after very busy days to unwind and relax in. If returning to this area again, it will definitely be my first choice to stay.

First booking via trip.com . Very straightforward. The hotel was only a few minutes away from Euston. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Beds are very comfy and the room was spacious enough for the 3 of us. Late check out was a bonus and we could even leave our luggage at reception which was very handy. Would recommend and will definitely go back. This is a very big hotel and I was worried about noise level but we had a peaceful time.

We had a lovely stay at St Giles, London. Well located hotel, near to Tottenham Court Road Station, bus stops, supermarkets, shops, eateries, theatres etc. From Heathrow Airport, we took the Elizabeth line to Tottenham Court Road Station and hotel was just a short walk away. The British museum was also nearby. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. As we arrived rather early, Nikki helped us to secure a room earlier than official check in time, so that we can put our luggages and rest. The concierge guys were great, giving advice on how best to get to our destination. The Chinese gentleman, sorry, I didn't get his name, even helped me with my Bolt app bookings! We booked 2 new twin rooms. Although they were small, they were sufficient for 2 pax in each room. All amenities that we needed were available and rooms were cleaned thoroughly when we returned from our sightseeing. There was no air conditioner in the rooms but weather was great, so we had no issues. The breakfast served was excellent, with a wide variety. Good choice for our short stay in London.

The morning after our first night my friend and I noticed a bug crawling on one of the beds, we continued our investigation and noticed DOZENS of those crawling all over the twin beds we just spent the night in. We were exhausted the night before after coming back to hotel late and after having shower just jumped straight into beds - who would have thought we weren’t they only ones spending night in those beds! Quick research after our findings and we realised that those were BEDBUGS! Never in my life had I come across anything like this before, not even after being a student and staying at questionable hostels! We reported this to the reception and were offered another room. We didn’t move immediately in the morning and made an agreement that we would move in the evening when we would be back to the hotel. Coming back in the evening and reporting to the reception for a new room, we found one of the evening staff being rude to us and questioning if the bedbugs were from their hotel (like what?!?!?!?). Simple, we said, because we had photo and video evidence of bedbugs crawling all over the beds, we said! This quickly ended her argument with us. We then moved to our new room, where there was no obvious evidence of bedbug infestation, however being a reportedly new room, we found hair all over the floor in the bathroom of that allegedly “cleaned” new room. Unfortunately, being an extremely sensitive to cleanness person and following the events of the previous night, I decided to leave early and not spent another night in this disgusting hotel. My friend, who had a flight early next morning however had no chance and spend a little longer and left at 04am. The evening I decided to leave I started coming out in rash, which had only been getting worse ever since. The intensity of the itch is like nothing I’d ever experienced before - it stops me from sleeping, it drives me absolutely mad, no matter how much I try, one can’t look professional when they have bite marks all over their body, including the face, ears, neck, fingers, hands, forearms - ie areas one can’t cover up - and needing to constantly scratch herself! This obviously has affected my work! And the itch is no better even 6 days later!! In fact, the bite marks are now swollen, causing swelling of my fingers, the scratch marks are now bleeding and I am the most irritated I’ve ever been! Let me emphasise, this is six days later and I genuinely don’t know how much longer I’m yet to suffer! I have obviously filed a complaint and have been contacted by the hotel - they are “kindly” offering to compensate the cost of my medication (as I am now on antihistamines - which don’t work really, as I can’t take the stronger type due to its sedating effect, as I have to continue working and driving; as well as steroid cream) and the cost of my dry cleaning. HOWEVER, despite multiple email exchanges and telephone consultations, they are not planning to refund a 100% of our payment, the argument being

Room was clean and good. Lots of storage spaces for your stuff. Staff were really nice and humble. And location was really convenient and very close to Paddington station. The only downsides were room service and breakfast. We stayed there for 3 nights and they didn't even clean the room once, even after requesting them to. Instead they gave us bin bag to empty our own garbage bin which felt really weird. The breakfast was sooooo bad. We mostly had breakfasts outside even though we paid for breakfast (included with room booking). I felt they can improve the breakfast for the price we are paying. Even the cheapest hotels have proper English breakfast.

We stayed here for one night on Tuesday 20th Feb in rooms 302 & 306. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Old Street station - you turn right just passed the Sainsburys local shop and it is just around the corner. We checked in around 4pm - the 2 members of staff who checked us in were very polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms were a very good size with a huge TV opposite the bed and a seating area with fridge and 2 bottles of complimentary water in the room. The shower room was a good size and the shower was a double unit so plenty of room to move with a rain shower and a hand held attachment which could be taken off the wall. There is good quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower and handwash and body wash by the sink. There is a hairdryer and iron/ironing board in the room. Tea & coffee is also provided. The double bed was very comfortable with high quality bed linen Breakfast was included - there was plenty of choice. Cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, croissants, bread, jams, marmalade, orange or apple juice, selection of teas and coffee. The hot selection included bacon. beans, eggs, sausage, mushrooms and tomato and was all very tasty. Cannot fault the service at this hotel and it is all spotless. Check in was very efficient. The room card is required to use the lift from the ground floor - this did seem to be a bit hit and miss and sometimes we had to scan it 4 or 5 times before it worked.

My husband and I stayed at the Alhambra Hotel for two weeks - our sixth stay since 2008. The Alhambra earns our five-star rating by ticking all the boxes: perfect location near St. Pancras/King's Cross rail stations; comfortable, clean, and well-maintained; friendly and helpful staff; convenient amenities including taxis arranged to and from the airports and discount tour tickets; and reasonable rates. We really enjoy being able to count on the Alhambra as our ”home away from home” as we hop on the Tube or bus to explore London, or take the train for day trips such as Blenheim Palace. We’ll be back!

This was the second time staying at this Hotel. Sadly, this experience was not as good as the first. I asked for a quiet room and was told it was what I had but as soon as we got in there the noise started. There was works going on at the Hotel which I had not been informed about on check in. Had this not been the case, my score would have been higher as you cannot fault the breakfast, so much to choose from and the Staff are all polite. friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again though as it is excellent value for money.

The location is good as it’s 3 minutes away from the underground station at earls court. The room is basic but clean. However the air conditioning is not working well, thus will not recommend for stay during summer.

The room is smaller than it looks in the photo. The window in the quadruple room I booked is very small and can only be opened a little because all corridors have fire doors. So the room ventilation is very poor. It would be a disaster if you encounter a tenant who is not very hygienic. There is a queue when the bathroom is busy, and the water in some bathrooms is not hot enough. After staying there for two days, I started to get familiar with it. All the staff are relatively friendly, and there is a lot of customer traffic, with many families and student groups checking in. There is a supermarket next to it where you can buy coffee and food. It is also convenient to take public transportation to various attractions. Facilities: It's pretty good, but some guests don't take good care of it and the bathroom is often dirty. Especially the public bathroom in the lobby on the first floor. Environment: The sound of walking on the floor and the sound of doors opening and closing is noisy, but it is within the tolerance range. Facilities: The wifi and terrace are very good, so you can sunbathe and surf the Internet in summer. The indoor lobby guest seating area is large and comfortable.
