Rodeway Inn Artesia Cerritos

This place is like a Hollywood movie set from the Hollywood studio tour. You drive in and just park where ever you want because you don't know where is your room at. You walk to the lobby and it's quite small. It's two man operation as one works in the morning and another works at night. I never seen any other people working in the lobby other than those two people working at the lobby. I know the morning guy but don't know the night guy. The guy is helpful on what things is needed in the room so nice job for him. So we got the room 112 and it's on the first floor. There is two floors and there is no elevator to go up which there are stairs on the left side and the middle of the first floor. Once we got into our room, it smell like it recently got cleaned which is a good thing. There are places that would give you a room where they haven't had anyone in there for couple days or weeks. So I'm glad that it was a fresh room to start with. It had a strong smell of Clorox to disinfect the floor and other things that lures there. WiFi wasn't the best here. They gave us a password on the first day and it worked. The second day, apparently the WiFi didn't work and the password didn't work also so went back to the lobby to get a new password for it. I would think that they change the password everyday so people won't be attach to the WiFi every time. But it doesn't so not sure how their WiFi agreement works on staying with their WiFi. The WiFi comes on and off at times and most of the time it doesn't really work when you wanted to work. So if you have limited data, try to look for other places to use their WiFi other than the inn WiFi. On our 4th morning, we heard something dripping early morning so I woke up and found that water was coming down from the light fixture in the bathroom and on top of the sink. There was a lot of dirty water coming down from the ceiling. I called the front desk about the problem and ask for some towels. The guy was like ”Do you have anybody to come get the towels?” It was 7:30 in the morning and I'm on vacation. Of course I don't have anyone to come get the towels. So I had to hurry up to brush my teeth and throw some clothes on to go get towels from the lobby. I told the guy what happen and it seem like this situation happen before. He told me that he will get the maids ready when we leave so he did. We told him that we will be leaving and will be back at night time. Night time came and we went back into the room. This time it didn't smell like Clorox. I think they just mop the dirty water and clean a little bit here and there. I notice that they patch the hole that they did before and redid it on that same day. Then I looked around to see if was the first time or it happened before. It happened before because I looked at the baseboard and there was old water marks on it telling me that water got to it and stain it. If that happened before then they changed the carpet into hardwood floors so it wouldn't stink as much and it

I stayed here for 6 hours 3am-9am and was botten terribly by bed bugs. When I complained the gentleman said he would partially refund my stay for the inconvenience. When I went home I was itching so badly my skin broke and I had to disinfect everything. When I followed up with hotel the manager accused me of possibly being bitten before arriving there which there was no way I showed front desk the fresh welts. He refuses to acknowledge he has bed bugs in room 229 and did not accommodate me whatsoever for what happened. See all photos stay away terrible service. These bites itchy very badly!! I swelled up after itching it and caused me to scan. Hotel establishment is awful.
Rodeway Inn Convention Center

Our destination was the Convention Center, and this hotel is an easy 10 minute walk, Staples Center is also on the way. We opted to pay a little extra for a king bed suite, which was well worth it. The bedroom was good size, clean, comfortable, and the separate lounge room was handy (TV in each room) . Nice clean bathroom. Standard continental breakfast of cereal, toast and bagels should keep you going until lunchtime. The street outside is busy by day, but this the city center, which is quiet at night. I would stay here again.

The hotel has a complimentary simple breakfast, which is simple bread and coffee juice, simple but also enough, after all, the demand for the motel is not too high! Parking for 10 knives a day, will send a card to enter and exit the parking lot with the card, the card is hung in the conspicuous position of the car glass after parking. The room still has a surprise, the modern style is simple and clean, very good! There are subways around, M is fast food, there is a pavilion supermarket next to the hotel, which is very late, and many everyday things are convenient to buy. Because the hotel does not provide drinking water, we bought a lot of mineral water in the supermarket, eating things! There is a microwave in the room to cook things by yourself. The coffee machine has hot water. For the Chinese partner, it is still necessary to find hot water in winter... and the young girl at the front desk said that they will open the coffee machine to pick up hot water... The hotel is also very convenient to go to the Universal Studios of the Avenue of Stars. not bad

We're going through a horrific heat wave here in California, and I don't have an AC in my apartment. Because of Covid 19, many public places, such as our public library, are closed; places where people can cool off from this heat. I'm a teacher working from home and it's hard enough sitting in front of a computer all day; I don't need the heat to aggravate the situation more, but aggravate it did. Because I needed a cool place where I could work, I decided to book two nights at this motel. I chose this particular one because it's fairly close to my apartment and the price was ”reasonable.” All I needed was a clean room, a working AC and reliable Wifi. I only got one of three from my wish list. The room was disgustingly dirty: spider webs in the bathroom, dirt and grime underneath the vanity, filthy chairs, filth everywhere. I wasn't able to shower because the shower head wasn't working. I only got running water from the tub faucet, and I wasn't about to sit in that tub. The wifi worked fine when I first checked in and during most of the day the second day, but then it went dead. There was no way I was able to connect using their wifi so I ended up using my hot spot for my first class, and then I came right back home where I at least have running water, reliable wifi, and a clean place to sleep. The AC worked fine, but it's too bad that this place is so rundown. The motel usually serves breakfast, whatever it is they serve, but because of the state regulations due to the pandemic we're going through, breakfast, ice and the pool were unavailable. I'm was very happy to burn rubber and come back home, albeit to a very hot apartment. Two nights was more than enough.
