Too expensive for thus type of motel. It’s not a hotel. Too noisy, the rooms face the swimming pool s d there always people seining and making noise. The rooms face the aisle and you can’t have the window open because everyone that goes by sees you., and you don’t have privación.

Good value for money. There are places to eat, drink and play nearby within walking distance. If you have any small problems, Ctrip will solve them perfectly.

The office staff were rude making us stand outside to check in, seeing my husband and I but not acknowledging us. In walking around the motel, the ground was filthy with trash. Walking up the stairs to the room was the same, trash and gum on the stairs and they were filthy. Looks like they have never been scrubbed cleaned or washed down. Once in the room, we were missing a hand towel. The maid was working in the room next to our's so I went and asked her for a towel, which there were plenty on her cart. She told me no! I asked why and she said it was policy to just give one. I told her there were 2 full size towels as there is 2 of us and she still refused! I grabbed one off her cart and went to my room. The bathroom has no counter in which to lay your makeup or other products on. The sink was a single standing sink and the water drained very slow. The bathroom fan was disgusting with filth, dirt and dust. It was black! I stayed there because I had an appointment with a doctor in Panorama City the next morning, otherwise I would have gotten my money back and left.

Check in time is 3 pm. The woman was sitting in the office but refused to check us in before 3 pm. OK it is clearly stated so that is fair. When we got into our room, 205, it was very spacious but quite noisy as it was on the street side. I immediately noticed the smoke detector was open with no battery. I immediately told the woman at the desk and she said she would have a battery put in. When I returned to the room late that evening nothing had been done. I told her again when I left in the morning that it still needed to be fixed. She was unapologetic and quite nonchalant. She said it would be that day. When I returned that evening it still had not been fixed. I had to go to the office again and she came up and put a battery in. She then left. I looked and could not see the light that shows the alarm is functional. I tried the test button and NOTHING. I went back down and she said it works without a light and the test button does nothing. I googled it and NO that is not right. She continued to argue with me that all the rooms looked like that and it was working. She never acknowledged that it did not work. She said I was wrong and that all the rooms did not have lights or test buttons that worked. She said the manufacturer web site was wrong. She finally said she would have it replaced the next day so now 2 days with no alarm. No one came the next day so I went down again. She said there was no one to replace it. She got on the phone with the owner and I finally changed rooms to 210 after I tested that alarm and it beeped with the test button and had a green light showing it was active. Very UNSAFE and against CA laws. I also could not believe she was ARGUING with me when I had written proof. Bring matches so you can test the alarms because I don't think they will address this issue. We also did not get cleaning service or new towels the last day.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The biggest problem with this motel is the parking. There are a limited number of parking spots for guests of the motel. The staff failed to mention that it is PUBLIC parking not private parking for The Royal Pagoda Motel guest. Meaning anyone can park there, when ever they want, as long as they want. When booking a room I brought up the concern of the limited parking. The motel employee I spoke to said there is more parking on the side. I thought they meant on the side of the motel, another parking lot or garage. NOPE! He meant against the side of the main building of the motel with the very small parking lot. Nearby Chinatown has a very active night life so forget about parking in the street. If you leave for the evening and return later that night here is what they do when there is absolutely no legal parking. They will have you park against the side of the building or have you double park or triple park. Basically they will fill up the driveway of the parking lot blocking other cars in. A motel employee will ask for your room number and phone number. They will call you to move your car if you are blocking someone who needs to get their car out. Yes even at 2 a.m. when you are asleep. Myself and a few other guests of the motel had to move our cars for a non-guest of the motel. I asked the employee who called me to move my car how this person got an actual spot and he said he had no idea. While moving our cars the employee was trying to direct the non-guest out of the parking lot I witnessed a hit and run. The non-guest backed into a parked car in the motel parking lot. That driver and the motel employee acted like nothing had happened. At this point there was finally street parking. I felt my car would be safer parked out on the street a block away from the motel. And the other motel guests who had to move their cars were fighting for whatever space was available in the motel parking lot. Another thing is that the rooms are very small and this motel is old. Several electrical outlets in my room did not work. I could not plug in my phone or laptop chargers. Plus the parties in the Chinatown may end at a certain time but that doesn’t stop people from coming into the motel to keep the party going.

The hotel belongs to the type of motorbike hotel, the location is the biggest highlight, walk to the city bus station 5, 6 minutes. Hotel facilities are relatively old, enough to sleep as a journey. Other facilities are basically not available. The hotel (hotel) below 1000 yuan in Los Angeles is basically this condition. In short, the hotel facilities are basically in line with this price.

We had a very good experience here. The front desk staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. There is free coffee, tea in the lobby. The only thing I didn't like is that the hotel charges 150 $ deposit at check in (average in Glendale/ Los Angeles is $ 100). Another thing is.. the parking costs an additional 10 $ per day. Can't this just be included in the room rate? Auxillary cost makes the world go round. Despite this I would stay again.

An American breakfast is nothing more than coffee, bread, oatmeal. The better ones will have a variety of fruits, usually bananas and oranges, almost no fruit at all. I remember there are several kinds of fruits cut into small pieces for self-picking, there are oatmeal, ham, and fried potato pieces, there is parking lot! There are pizzerias and fast food restaurants like McDonald's right out!

Everything was very clean. Quiet - didn't notice any street noise, but did have the AC on. Check in/out quick and easy. Nice clean pool! Close to many tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. Easy drive to Burbank airport.

Room was noisy from street traffic as it was on the street side. It was probably the last room left so even though we wanted one bed, we got two doubles. We barely found parking space each day so recommend you get there early to park, as parking is limited.
