The Wolf Inn

A new experience for me, no reception, all done via the iPhone. Before arrival they sent instructions with how to access the rooms and with a unique code to get us in to the main door and our room. All slick and easy. The room as well decorated, clean and everything worked, including the very nice shower. The only negative is that the room is very small so there was no room to move around and no comfy chair, desk etc. However, it did have a kitchenette with a proper sized kettle and fridge, so I could have a decent sized mug of tea (I always take my own mug)

Not very happy with this hotel. Booked their “Executive Suite” based on the pictures on the website. On arrival our “Executive Suite” bore no resemblance to the website photos. The room was small, cramped with very little storage space. No space to put cases. Our window opened onto the smoking area. Not a single shelf in the bathroom to put toothbrushes etc. Not even a toilet roll holder ! Although there is a small kitchenette (microwave didn’t work) there was no table or chairs to eat at, unlike the pictures on the website. There were a set of wooden stairs to get to the room which were difficult to get up with suitcases and I dread to think what it would be like if they were wet. There is free parking but it’s a long walk away and you have to hope the locals have left a space. In fairness the staff were very helpful and un-blocked the loo very quickly even though the world cup was on. The bed was covered in cushions but nowhere to put them when you want to sleep. My advice. Get rid of the cushions and get a toilet roll holder.

The Wolf Inn is a great find in a good location, about 10 mins from the town. We stayed in the guest house next door but one to the inn. The bedroom was no. 14, at the front of the building. Although on the front on a main road, it was surprisingly quiet. It was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Also very clean. The access code to get in the building and the room worked well. We watched the England v Slovakia game in the bar, great atmosphere and service.

What another great stay at The Wolf Inn. Different Room this time. (room 2). Very clean and even left is an ironing board and iron after we asked if they had one. Stayed as went to an 80s Night locally . We would definitely recommend the stay and will certainly be back for a fourth time

We stayed in the rooms above The Wolf Inn for three nights. Rooms are modern, warm and reasonably well appointed. Good TV and a great shower with plenty of hot water available. Beds are a little small but comfortable with good bedding. The bar was very nice with a modern vibe. Josh, who seems to run everything, was fantastic. A great host and always up for a chat. He kept the bar immaculate and served an excellent pint of Guinness. Bar prices are very reasonable too. Thanks for a nice break.

The rooms are brilliant beds really comfy fresh towels and rooms made up every day with a free beer voucher every day couldn’t fault this hotel at all if I come Lowestoft again will definitely book into here

Booking direct.common sense We booked directly and received a 25% discount, in addition we also received 2 free drinks at the bar. We were not double booked as we booked direct, please note B——-g.com We will return as everyone was very pleased and happy.

Sadly the prominently advertised pricing for wines was completely out of date. Instead of being charged a maximum of £11.65 for 2 drinks, we were charged £14.25. When this was queried the manager's response was that the huge boards displayed on the wall were old and needed replacing. We requested 4 times the boards be removed immediately and the 5th request was to.at least cover over the prices as it was false advertising and a findable offence. The response was that would be done at some point. Reported to Trading Standards. Beware and check charges before paying. Also the wine was cheap and nasty!

A great location for everything close to Lowestoft & the broads. Comfortable furnishings and bed. The room was a little warm on arrival but opening the window cooled the room. The rooms are very secure with private entrance so you don’t need to go through the pub. The rooms are above the bar but we didn’t get disturbed by any noise. There are plenty of parking options nearby - don’t let it put you off. Well worth if for the price.
