This is one of those places where you want to return again. We have been twice and will definitely come in the fall for the leaf fall. Very cozy rooms with beautiful decoration. Great staff and excellent service. The house is well located, easy access to the ocean beach, restaurants, shops, and other small beautiful towns. Very clean and delicious breakfasts. Every time I visit, I never cease to be amazed at how everything is thought out in detail. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.

This has to be one of the best managed, friendliest, interesting places I have ever stayed at. The vibe there is spectacular, vibrant and visitor-centric. Everyone in our party was blown away unexpectedly. The careful attention to every little detail, in every corner and at every experiential turn was impeccable. If there was a rating higher than 5, the Homestead has earned it.

We loved everything about this place. The decor, the rooms, the added touches everywhere! The beds were super comfortable, great breakfast options and the staff and owners were super nice. We were with 3 other couples and the outdoor area/fire tables was a great place to catch up with old friends after a wedding in the area. Hoping to have an opportunity to come again! Best B&B we ever stayed at.

Stopped here on our way up to Maine and so happy we did! We read all the excellent reviews and they are all true. You just can’t say enough nice things about The Homestead and our hosts Ralph and Ellen. The house is just perfect in every way. The rooms are super clean and have so many amenities: towel warmer, luxury shower head, lighted makeup mirror, record player, fridge and more. You will wake to a wonderful breakfast with all types of coffee and special breakfast items. If you are traveling in the Coastal Connecticut area this is a sweet and special place. We loved it and rate it A++

My favorite inn! Stayed at Homestead a few times and loved every minute. Large size rooms, super clean, great breakfast and pleasant hosts! Decorated with many nice things and beautiful details that makes it very special. Always feels like home!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Homestead. Our room, with a private entrance, was lovely, comfortable, clean and spacious. The Innkeepers, Ralph & Ellen, were super nice—we’re glad we had a chance to chat with them. I hope it won’t be too long before we see them again and we will expect another fine welcome from Heartman! Thank you!

I never write reviews but am feeling compelled because this inn was truly the most immaculate place I’ve ever stayed at. I have high standards for cleanliness and this place really impressed me. It is tastefully decorated and there are nice indoor and outdoor common areas. Added to that, the owner and innkeepers are super helpful, warm and friendly, the coffee and breakfasts are very good and there are drinks and snacks available all day. I would definitely go back and highly recommend!

This Bed and Breakfast amazed me. All of the little details from soap dishes that keep your soap from sitting in water to towel warmers, from snacks to coffee, from books to music records. This was the ultimate place to relax at the end of a long day. And, don't get me started with the butter flavored olive oil for fresh popcorn!

I’ve travel a lot and have stayed in many B&Bs, Airbnbs, and hotels around the world. The Homestead stands out as one of the best. The house is beautiful and modern. The owner, Ralph, and innkeeper, Ray, are warm and helpful. Breakfasts are fresh and yummy.
