Hostal Cruz Sol

The location is good as it is close to the city center, but it was disappointing that the water temperature in the shower was not high. The cleanliness was inferior to that of a hotel. When entering the building from outside, it was difficult to tell which floor the Hostal was on. The bathroom was small, so I would not recommend it for larger people. It was cheaper than the surrounding accommodations, so it is a good choice for people who value affordability.

Hôtel très bien situé, entre la puerta d'El sol (métro) et la Plaza Mayor. Très facile d'accés, personnel agréable. La chambre était petite mais très propre et la literie confortable. La rue légèrement bruyante la nuit mais cela ne nous a pas gêné pour dormir. Je recommande cet hôtel avec un rapport qualité/prix parfait.

Hostal acogedor y excelente ubicación, a pasos de la Plaza Mayor y a escasos 200 metros de la Puerta del Sol. Las habitaciones si bien son pequeñas, son muy confortables tanto para invierno como para el verano. Tiene TV y un excelente wifi. La atención de Aurora es una bendición aparte. Te soluciona el problema que tengas y te da buenos consejos para almorzar o que visitar. Muy limpio el Hostal, buena cama, buena almohada y una excelente relación costo-servicio. Cada vez que voy a Madrid no lo dudo. Allí voy ! Recomiendo 1.000.000%.

Clean and comfortable place, we have been repeating for years and we will continue doing so because Aurora is already one more of our girls' trip!! We took a girl (my nephew) who is now 8 years old and was 1 when we went for the first time... Get an idea hehehe

The hostel itself is simple; as does the room. The best thing is its location, in the heart of the capital (very close to the Plaza Mayor). It is located next to a very atmospheric square, with many areas of both leisure, emblematic and restaurants; The worst thing is to park in the area if you go by private car (you must remember that it is a restricted area "Madrid Central" due to the issue of low emissions). The room is small, but quite acceptable for short stays; equipped with TV (small), refrigerator, fairly wide bed, AA.CC. "Split type", Wi-Fi (although the signal was quite weak) and very important in my opinion... with a private toilet and shower (not shared with the other guests). In addition to a small balcony and good natural light, and quite quiet for where it is located. The reception and treatment was very helpful and correct, without incidents or anything to highlight about it. Reservation made through their own website and they took into account my comments about preferences. (THANK YOU). Cleanliness and odors, nothing to comment on, everything very correct. If they continue in this way, at tight and competitive prices as until now; I don't hesitate to stay there again. GREETINGS

Great location, close to the city center, clean rooms and friendly staff, quiet, good value for money. We spent 2 nights there after going to see a Réal match. Our match tickets reserved online were in the room when we arrived.
