Hotels near Malmö Lighthouse, Malmo

This hotel is located in a sort of industrial estate, about 1.5 km outside the center. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel with very regular departures to the center. However, the hotel disappoints. Very warm inside, without air conditioning or climate control. Desk staff not very helpful with upgrades and wrong explanations about public transport. It seems like they have no interest in their guests. No fridge in the room and 2 twin beds instead of queen size bed. Breakfast is fine, but dinner is not available on weekends. What a letdown and missed opportunity. Many surprised guests. No, this hotel is definitely not worth its 4 stars. 3 stars maximum but nothing more. Unfortunately, this hotel will not see this guest again.

Had one night stay in this hotel and we arrived late, we were disappointed that no elevator from parking level to the main lobby and we were forced to carry the luggage all the way up on the staircase. Was told this is because old building but still not convincing! The room was specious and very organised and clean. The breakfast was very good and very rich with many options to chose from, special thanks to Asem at the restaurant/ breakfast for being nice with us. There is no free parking for the hotel and must use the basement paid parking

The room's heating system was malfunctioning. No phones in the rooms. A leak in the bathroom. The next morning when the tranquility of my stay was shattered by the deafening noise of renovation work. It felt as though the ceiling was being torn apart. Making it impossible to rest or even concentrate. When I contacted reception from my mobile phone ( no phones in the room) to voice my concerns, I was met with dismissiveness and a claim that there had been prior notice of the renovation work. However, this was not the case, as I had not been informed, and the noise level was beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. As someone who suffers from migraines, the loud noise exacerbated my condition and caused significant distress. Upon checking out, I discovered that a notice about the renovation work had been placed in the reception area. This underhanded tactic further compounded my frustration, as it felt like an attempt to shift blame rather than acknowledge the hotel's responsibility for the disturbance. Overall, my experience at the Best Western Plus Hotel Noble House was deeply disappointing. Despite its promising location, the lack of communication, maintenance issues, and disruptive renovation work overshadowed any positives. I urge potential guests to reconsider staying at this hotel until they address these significant shortcomings and prioritize the comfort and well-being of their patrons. I totally recommend this hotel. It is in the heart of the city, the location is amazing. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pillows were especially comfortable. If I go to Malmo again, I will definitely stay here again.

Transportation: The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Malmö Station. You can get there by walking through the downtown pedestrian street from the train station. There are not many attractions in Malmö, and they are all within walking distance from the hotel. Room: The family room is very large, with a double bed plus a sofa bed, enough space to unpack luggage, and the room is equipped with a kitchen and tableware. It is suitable for long-term stays and self-catering. However, there is no tea and coffee provided in the room. The room is very clean. Breakfast: Like most Nordic hotels, there are three or four kinds of ham, salami, fried sausages and bacon, and few vegetables and fruits, only cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, and watermelons. The rest are all kinds of yogurt, bread, cereals and other foods that Europeans are accustomed to.

The room was a bit basic, that's sort of regular Scandinavian hotel standard. But we had everything we needed for a short stay. Location was impossible to beat. It was a few minutes away from every place we wanted to visit. No free parking, but that was the rule for all hotels in the area. There was however a huge parking lot right across the street. Breakfast was good. Not the fanciest, but a good selection, good quality, and even sugar-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, and dairy-free options. The only bad thing was the coffee. It tasted burnt. There was nice mild background music and cute and funny details in the decor. Overall a good experience.

Check-in wasn’t smooth. A last minute booking on an external website took time to get trough to the front desk. At check-in at 10 PM we were told that we might have to wait up to half an hour to get a room. Fortunately it turned out to less. The room and bed was fine, but not the bathroom. A cheap shower curtain stopped well above the floor, so 80% of the entire bathroom got soaking wet. Not good enough. Apart from location, one reason for selecting this hotel was that they had hotel parking. Unfortunately, that wasn’t entirely true. There was public parking under the shopping mall next to the hotel. Even so, the hotel front desk pretended to know about the parking. The fee was hourly for the first 4 hours, then a few for 24 hours. The system was number plate recognition. The hotel said that you could exit and reenter several times within the 24 hours you already paid for. That wasn’t true. First I paid for 24 hours and the I paid a second time within the same 24 hours. It would be easy for Scandic to shape up.

Two of us spent a week at UNITY Malmö and used it as a base for exploring the city, the surrounding area and Copenhagen. Positives: Everything is brand new, stylish and very organised. A lot of thought has clearly gone into things. Wi-Fi super fast, but frustratingly prone to drop outs. Gym is just about big enough for a decent work out. Negatives: The studio room was organised with a good amount of storage but just a little bit small and cramped. The kitchen was cramped. There’s a space for everything but nowhere for things to go if you actually want to use it! No clear recycling policy. They don’t provide you with kitchen paper, a kitchen towel or washing-up liquid. There’s a small dishwasher but it’s a bit OTT to use it after each time you cook. You have to use a very noisy extractor if you cook to avoid setting off the fire/smoke alarms. They could use some clearer instructions for new arrivals - eg you need up lift the bed up to find the second duvet; some of the cupboards look like blank panels but are push-open. Bed is too small for two people. The biggest negative is the location. It’s not good. Inconvenient, out of the centre (take the bus or walk for 30 mins) and nowhere near anything you might want/need.

We enjoyed our stay – staff were friendly, place was clean, there were rooms for a family of five (seemingly an amazing find in and around Lund!) and the breakfast was amazing!! At least for anyone visiting in the near future though I would highly recommend earplugs (which we luckily remembered) as the windows desperately need changing – which they are in the process of doing. We stayed during a storm and the windows were so poor it was almost as windy inside as it was out! Our children had fun in the pool, but we were caught short on our first visit without having shower gel/ shampoo with us and 2 of them ended up very itchy for the rest of the day, simply from the extreme amounts of chlorine in the pool – of course it's better this way then them getting sick, but remember proper soap and moisturiser for afterwards – the soap canisters were nearly empty (or not working properly). The hotel is quite far out but bus connection was good and we never waited long for a bus. Would definitely consider going back!

This new hotel is directly on the tram line from Lund Central to ESS, hence very practical for visiting the numerous R&D places along this line. It is modern, staff is friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast is overall good, though coffee is terrible and you have to pay extra for proper espresso. There is a small gym decently equipped. Unfortunately instead of a good spinning bike, there is some weird thing with moving arms, making serious training impossible.
