Hotels near Vinyl Exchange, Manchester

First impression on walking in very nice relaxed atmosphere , there were a few teething problems on checking in there was a new receptionist but a senior member observed and help solve and I was given a complimentary drink token in the way af apology which was a nice touch . The hotel is situated 10 mins walk from Piccadilly train station and vey central. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was enough around . We got back late and found the bar area pretty full . The drink was expensive but with the amount of staff around and the service this was expected . The overnight sleep was trouble free no noise bed comfortable and linen very clean . I have been travailing to Manchester for 30 years and have stayed in many hotels I have to say that for the price is by far the best I’ve stayed in Thank you for making me feel so well-come I will be defiantly be staying there again .

Great place. My partner and I spent our anniversary here and really appreciated the free drink at the bar to celebrate. The studio apartment was everything we needed and more. Thanks so much!

My husband and I came to the hotel on Friday 7/10/2022 room 1216 I honestly couldn't say anything negative about this hotel . The moment we walked in Georgia and neelam on reception greeted us warmly and explained everything. Once we settled in we came back to the bar to enjoy the amazing range of cocktails made by Gabriel :) the bar staff were all amazing from the manager phoebe to Pablo and andree they couldn't do more to make you feel welcome . Our room did have a view of the construction but we expected that as we are in the middle of Manchester and it was not a problem at all . The breakfast was beautiful unfortunately I didn't get the gentleman's name who was clearing the tables but he was so nice lastly I would like to give mo from housekeeping a massive shout out our room was spotless and he even gave me a kit kat 😀 what stands out about this hotel is the staff and I mean all the staff shine they all greet you with smiles and I know how hard that can be for a full shift 😀 can't wait to come back thank you

Glad to have free WiFi in the hotel and self help coffee at the lobby area, Room rate was slightly too high for asian travelers as compare to the small room size, Suggest adding more hooks and shelves on the walls, may add a big curtain between the bathroom zone and bed zone to increase privacy, Staff not very familiar with the nearby environment such as supermarket or 24 hrs convenient stores, maps for guests at their reception desk may be considered

Stayed here a while back whilst on a business trip. The room was huge and I was so impressed with the bed and linen I emailed them when I got home to find out the make. Great bathroom and the little touches like the sweets in the fridge were fab. Ate in the restaurant and quality and portions were great. Staff throughout the hotel were a credit. Will look forward to another stay

I stayed at the Milton last night the 22nd and it was excellent. I had read the reviews and was a bot concerned by them so approached the entrance with caution. Its clear the building used to be an office block and home to the DHSS. I was directed to the hotel reception where the pleasant surprises began clean airy and a very efficient and welcoming receptionist. Then onto the room which medium sized was warm the bed comfortable and the shower powerful . I ate in the bar and had a well cooked meal and a beer . Next morning breakfast was simply incredible value the selection was large the coffee good and the produce used a step up. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful . Its cheap but its great

Stayed here with my partner as we had plans to go into Manchester, this is located really well with a couple pubs close by and the train station within walking distance. It wasn't a bad stay, staff were lovely and room was tidy with fresh bedding and facilities to make a tea/coffee. It was a little noisey with people banging and walking back and forward from the bathroom as you could hear everything from our room as it was located next to the shared bathroom. Breakfast too there was plenty of choice but could use some extra pans or somewhere to wash up. Great for travellers or people on a budget.

I just HAD to write a review on my stay here. Well... this was my 3rd hotel in 4 nights of travelling. It was also the cheapest one, and the only one I was kind of dreading! Oh how wrong could I have been! From the moment I entered, the receptionist was so friendly and helpful. Welcoming, kind and professional. I asked if there was any fridge I could use to store some food items I was travelling with and they kindly put these in the staff area for me overnight. Could not do enough to help. The hotel feels more like a modern new hostel than a hotel. The vibe in the communal area felt very much like a classy hostel. It was warm, friendly and welcoming. Free unlimited tea and coffee down there was great. Breakfast was only continental, which I hadn't realised. Lovely pastries, but a shame no hot food was served. Rooms are very small, as I had expected, but functional, Plenty of charging sockets, good hot shower with amenities. As I arrived into the station at terminal 1, and was flying from terminal 1 the next day it is quite a walk with heavy bags. There is no shuttle bus or alternative way to get to terminal 1 from here, only the skylink. This would have been fine, but the moving escalators on the skylink were switched off. When I asked the hotel staff about this, they said they have not been working for months. I don't know why this is, but it would have made moving to/from the hotel a lot easier so it was a shame. Overall a very good and unexpected stay. For the price, I would stay again. Thanks to all the staff for such a pleasant welcome.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Britannia Bolton hotel having read reviews I was not looking forward to our stay but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived, reception and corridors all spotless and the room we received was clean, comfortable and bathroom looked like it had just been upgraded, the staff were all pleasant and looked after you very well. Our morning started with a lovely breakfast good selection of cooked items as well as cereal's, toast etc not a large choice for evening meal but the price you pay couldn't complain.

We looked for a cheap alternative to staying in Manchester City Centre for a Saturday night. Was very impressed, the hotel is great value and the staff are really great. Couldn't knock the room. Would come back
