Called in to spend some money in town while on holiday and floods occurring. The cheese platter was absolutely amazing and great value. Burger was great as were fish & chips. Deserts were fantastic. Drinks were a great price, not like over priced pints where we live in WA. Staff were really good.

On screen looks like a reaasonable choice but, Reception staff unhelpful basically surly. Room very basic had better in a youth hostel. Clean but lack of maintenance shows - stained carpet, room half renovated. Access to accomodation via a staircase only which is to steep for anyone who is not fit. The reviewers wh said food was good must have eaten somewhere else!

We visited on a Sunday to meet a group of friends. There were 2 locals and the other 11 of us came up from Adelaide for the day. We love the hotel from the moment we're entered with the sofa's and open fire. We booked in advance and they had us on the high table with stools right next to the Sunday entertainment. The guys was great however we wanted to catchup with each other and we couldn't hear each other due to music. The dining area inside and out was very busy. We asked staff if there was anywhere else they could seat the 13 of us and without hesitation they moved is to the small function room that was empty. We couldn't have been happier. The food was great, staff outstanding and the company even better. I would highly recommend the hotel and we'll be back for sure

Set directly on the Mighty Murray River….a lovely lawn area and cool tall cool gums for shade this is a magic spot to enjoy a cold beer or two. We had the Special of the Day…300g scotch fillet with fries and salad, and additional Pepper Sauce. Cost $30 each so good value. I am always dissatisfied with the salads served at pubs…very basic and no imagination. The steak was cooked really well and the sauce was stock standard packet sauce gravy. Great service both bar and waiting staff. Definitely worth the experience when on holiday.
