I really enjoyed staying at this hotel and the price was unbelievably reasonable! I stayed at Mardi Gras and I paid less than half the price for the next lowest-priced comparable room. I booked over the phone after seeing the room price on the Extended Stay America website. For the price, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived at night, and the first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was very well-lit. I never felt unsafe at any time during my stay inside or outside the hotel. I stayed on the fourth floor, and there were some people playing loud music you could hear in the hallway, but I never heard any of it in my room. The front desk clerk at check-in was lovely and so friendly. I wish I could remember her name. She was always wearing Mardi Gras clothing or had a hat or something in her hair. It was so much fun to see her in the spirit. I wear Mardi Gras clothing, jewelry and hair accessories every day I'm there, and we would always comment on each other's Mardi Gras wear. I asked if there were coffee makers in the rooms and she said no, but they did have some that they give out upon request, so she gave me one to take up with me along with several packets of coffee too. She even gave me a printout of a schedule of all the local parades. The room was great. Now, if you're expecting luxury and pay a bargain price, don't complain. I hate it when people do that in reviews. The room was very clean and had a small kitchenette. The bed was reasonably comfortable. I wish it had been more plush, but I always say that. I never do the breakfast at hotels because I cannot eat gluten, so they wouldn't have much I could eat anyway, and who wants to eat a hotel breakfast in New Orleans?? I always thought it was crazy for people to complain about a limited breakfast at a hotel... It's a hotel, not a restaurant! The room had all I needed for my vacation because I was out most of the time anyway. I had a clean, quiet place to sleep. Good parking every night. An elevator. A full fridge to hold my goodies from Melting Pot, my beverages and my cream for my coffee. I didn't cook but the kitchenette would be handy to warm anything up. They told me at check-in they don't supply dishes, but I've made it a habit to always carry disposable utensils, plates, cups and, of course, champagne flutes. Like I said, if you're getting a great price just grab a few things at the dollar store or Walmart. You're not staying at a luxury hotel with a premium rate, so suck it up and expect something reasonable. The TV channels were enough to keep me entertained when I was in the room. There were trash bags in the bottom of the trash cans, so you just had to take your garbage down to the trash room (the hotel clearly states there is no daily maid service) which is not an inconvenience. I'll take the lower rate and do that. There was a little closet behind a curtain for hanging clothes and a dresser with drawers. If you are on a longer stay as I was
