3-Star Hotels in Moalboal

At a first glance hotel was pleasant, decorated nicely & clean. However no hot water on the first day we asked for someone to check it whom he said it’s broken, maintenance will be in tomorrow to fix it. 4 days later still nobody has fixed the shower and we’re still having cold showers. Room hasn’t been cleaned in that time either although stated it would be every other, no clean towels, no toilet roll, no water to drink (even if paid for) Tours are extremely expensive through this hotel so advise to to research elsewhere for cheaper options. Building works going on which blew dust into the room and covering our clothes/bags & bed. Screaming little kids with no respect for other guests outside the bedroom window at 6am after politely asking them to move along and be quieter they stayed and continued to shout. Buffet breakfast is gone unless you get there before start time (7am) and limited food allowed - don’t eat the pancakes either couldn’t be rawer if the chef tried. Wifi non existent on 3rd floor, Only positive is the pillows were comfy.

Excellent structure, spacious, new and well-kept rooms, comfortable and clean with air conditioning and private bathroom. Rooms with TV, hot and cold water. Free water dispenser available to guests. nice staff and available. Restaurant/bar on site where you can also make breakfast. Structure located in Moalboal in a very active area where the bars are open until late night. Perfect location. Near restaurants, bars, beach of Panagsama. The coral barrier and sardines are located just in front of the structure. Diving school. Great for those who love snorkeling and diving. Open reception not 24 hours on 24. They accept payment with credit card. Free Wi-Fi connection available throughout the facility. At request, they organize transfers with private cars with driver and excursions. Basdaku beach also called White beach a few km away. Available with tuk tuk. It is recommended for those who are looking for a building in the centre of Moalboal with a diving school, but also for those who want to relax on the beach of Panagsama.

Me alojé en este hotel 8 días. Check-in: solo pagó en efectivo. Muy eficiente. Tómese 1 minuto Sin ascensor, pero mi maleta pesada estaba en la habitación, en el piso de la calle 1 en 10 segundos. Habitación muy limpia con aire acondicionado silencioso. Gran baño con ducha de agua caliente. Podría hacer con una alfombra de baño afuera. El piso es de madera pulida, muy agradable pero resbaladizo. Gran vista a una piscina grande y bien cuidada. Como bonus limpiar spapool adyacente. El desayuno buffet es bueno y amplio pero no llega tarde. No hay cereales para el desayuno. Cena: buena variedad, pero podría esperar un poco. Los domingos solo hay 1 cocinero. La piscina está muy bien cuidada y limpia. Los tricículos están en la puerta y te llevan a todas partes. A partir de PHP 100.

I loved how warm and their staff is. It's the perfect resort for a mix of rest, relaxation and adventure altogether. They have a game room. Perfect for barkadas or for siblings or colleagues who checks in at the resort. I was greeted with warms smiles when I arrived. Check-in process was smooth. Check-out process is a bit long though. The room I stayed in is their Tour room. It was clean. I loved my bed and pillows. Aircon, hot and cold shower, TV were working. I like that there are many outlets inside the room and that I could get refillable water at the lobby. My room has a terrace but the view of this particular room wasn't nice but it's okay. They have toiletries and towels. The only missing though is conditioner. Soap is too small over a day's use. Shower area doesn't have a cover so water splashes onto the outside tiles. During my return, I stayed in their villa room, there was no light outside the door so it was challenging to open at night. Villa room is nice too - it has bigger TV, a purifier and a small ref, which I didn't have in their Tour room. Bathroom needs provision for hanging towel near the shower area. No space to put our other toiletries. There was only a space for soap, so we had to put it on the tiles on the side. Regarding amenities, we like that the pool temperature is warm. However, the pool ladder is loose, which can be scary to use. I like that we can use their snorkeling equipment for free and the clear kayak boat is free too for 15 minutes. There's no beach front, as in sand on the beach for you to stay at. Just stairs directly to the water. Our comment regarding the restaurant, the spaghetti was soaky, wonton soup was bland and no fish options on the menu. But some of their food are okay. I hope instead of instant coffee, I can have the option to choose drip coffee or have more decent options in coffee (I was sad about it, as someone who's particular with her coffee). Hope they will have espresso-based coffee or at least brewed coffee available instead of just instant coffee. Internet connection is okay, it might not be quite fast enough for video meetings. I was advised DITO and Globe signal are good in the resort. But maybe it was only just inside my room. I haven't checked the internet speed outside. There's live band after/during dinner time. The group who sang on our stay on the 29th wasn't so good but the one weekend prior was great. During my return, they prepared a small welcome back surprise for me. I felt so special. I really appreciated it. You can also request for them to prepare a small surprise for couples (ie., anniversary). The staff remembers returning guest too! I was also surprised to receive a returning guest voucher (free 1 whole pizza and a pitcher of iced tea - can only be claimed within my stay). The sunset in Pescadores is beautiful too! The location is just awesome. Two minutes walk from the coral reef with sardines and sea turtles you can watch from early morning until 5pm with your own snorkeling equipment or hire a guide and GoPro. There are many bars and restaurants around the hotel. Some of them are cheap, local eateries. The landlady was super nice and caring. We wanted to extend our stay but we couldn’t as it was fully booked. She helped us a lot in that unpleasant situation. The room was clean and smelled good. The water in the shower was hot and nice. There were towels, shampoo and soap in the room. If we ever come back, we’ll definitely choose this hotel again

This hotel evaluation is relatively small, specifically, let everyone refer to it. I placed the order in April, and traveled at the end of July. We booked two villas for a total of three nights. On the last night, when the villa was full, we arranged four other rooms for us. The villa we live in for eight people is OK, there is a refrigerator, there are two rooms on the ground floor, one bed for two meters, one bed for five meters, all with bathroom. The living room was not air-conditioned and it started to be hot. Later, the room on the bottom floor was opened, letting the air conditioner out there, it was all right, not too hot. On the second floor, there are two stairs to each room, one has a large bed, and the other has a bed of five meters and two meters. The room is large, the hangers are more, and the living is more comfortable. It is best to bring your own rope to the balcony to dry your clothes. There is a swimming pool in the villa area, and the children are very happy to go swimming every night. The villa is not in the same place as the suite. It is a few hundred meters apart. The villa is closer to the sea. The back door is the seaside. In the area where the sardines storm, walk to the left for five or six minutes on the back door. I have been to Mobao twice, once in February, when the sea was relatively calm, and the tide did not rise at 5 or 6 in the morning. This July, the waves were very big, and I almost never saw the shoal exposed in the morning. But it does not affect the experience of deep dive. Snorkeling is too much. The hotel owner is Chinese, and the people are really good. I booked another villa. When I originally booked, I wrote two rooms, each with a 2 meter bed. But at the time I saw that there was a bed that was very small. Later the boss changed to another villa. Opposite ours. After the change, the living room has air conditioning, but the decoration is not so luxurious. After the change, the first floor of the room, one meter five. A double bed room on the second floor on the stairs. On the other side, two small rooms, one meter and two beds, one meter and five beds, shared bathroom. For large families, booking a villa is better. On the other side of the villa, breakfast only has toast, eggs, luncheon meat, coffee, and you can eat it yourself. Will be sent to the villa. Suitable for people who like to be quiet, go out and snorkel in a few steps, if you are lucky, you can see turtles. Eating out is not very convenient, you can eat at their home, choose Filipino meals, it is not bad, the price is also appropriate. But because it is in the country, there are all kinds of strange animal sounds. If you sleep light, it is estimated that sleep will have an effect. The overall feeling is worth living.

The location was good, as it was very close to the bus stop and convenience store. Unfortunately not very close to the beach. But the tricycle ride is about 15 minutes to get there. The pool was amazing and we enjoyed the slides and having facilities for children. The breakfast was not good and extremely basic. Our room was spacious but the water heater was hidden under the sink, and we had to endure cold showers until we complained and they showed us. The staff was friendly and helpful. Considering the overall price, you get what you pay for, with a little extra. Would recommend for a 1-2 night stay, but not longer.

The hotel is by the sea, but there is no beach, because the hotel has more rocks and pebbles near the sea. The surrounding area is relatively undeveloped. We lived for a week in a cottage with a kitchen. Clean, quiet, daily cleaning, swimming pool, breakfast included. Food can be bought at the market or at the mall in Moalboal. One way tricycle ride 120 pesos, with luggage 150 pesos. The cottage is located 5 minutes from the sea. The rooms have a safe, and you can also leave things with the hostess. The Internet works only at the reception and the pool, the signal does not reach the room. the coral reef was almost completely killed by the typhoon, leaving a small piece with live corals, fish and turtles. Kawasan waterfall is also destroyed, but there is canyoning. I recommend Markozas Cottage to those who do not like noise and appreciate comfort and safety!
