Friendly staff. But as other has mention, the hotel need a renovation. -The worst thing in the hotel is the old carpet, it seems like its been there uncleaned for 20years. I did not want to touch the carpet without socks. Please just remove it or deep clean it regularly. -AC fan could only turn on on MAX speed or not at all, not possible to sleep with that loud thing on. -Furniture is pretty old and scuffed. In general hotel could do some good with a renovation -breakfast area was really hot, it was cooler just outside the breakfast area than inside. -Breakfast options is pretty limited, got pretty tired of the eggs real quick. -The gym is really small and limited, and some equipment was damaged when I was there, No free weights. -The location is pretty bad. It is in the outskirts of the city, you are limited to a very few restaurants in the area that you can walk too. +You have a Wallmart close by, that is a plus. +The TV in the room is large and you get free water +Free parking +It was pretty cheap One thing that really bothered me was a picture in google maps photo for this hotel with a supernice renovated room was shown, this was CLEARLY not from this hotel and I feelt a little bit scammed from that picture. Compare to other Marriott hotels I stayed at, this does not live up to the Marriott standard at all. I would rate this 2 out of 5. I would not return to this hotel.

The hotel staff is great . Very polite and helpful. Right from the time I got into the hotel cab from the airport to the time I was dropped back , had a smooth experience with the staff. Jessica ( reservations) , Augstin ( cab driver ) , Eduardo ( front desk - in the night shift ) , Jose ( shuttle driver ) were really hospitable and offered to help whenever needed. Location of the hotel is great with restaurants and malls close by .. it’s a lively place .. rooms were decent and liked the rooftop with the pool on it .

Comfortable and clean hotel. We got there without a reservation and luckily we found a room, the hotel filled up fast. It is located on a busy avenue, but the area is quiet and safe. Beds and space very good. The price includes a fairly decent simple breakfast to start the day.

We arrived late at night and did not realize what part of Monterrey we were staying in. Instantly we were impressed with the hotel. The staff was accommodating and extremely friendly. Even past midnight on a Wednesday, someone that spoke English was working the desk which made check-on a breeze. When we woke up in the morning and opened the drapes, it was floor to ceiling windows facing south and an amazing view of the mountain range. Not only that, we were in the most cosmopolitan area of the city. There are tons of restaurants, bars, a massive mall, all within walking distance. We ate breakfast every morning at 1856, the on-premises restaurant. It was amazing. Yes, a buffet but one that was top notch and enough choices to make anyone happy. The pasole on Saturday was perfect. The various salsas were great and the pastries were very local and tasty. I believe that 1856 becomes a steak restaurant at night but we were busy exploring the city. The staff was great, rooms were always cleaned. For Americans that don't speak Spanish - there was one English channel on the TV, I think Fox News or CNN and then one sub-titled channel that showed movies and FX shows. Uber was extremely quick when we called. The location was great. Maybe 30 minutes to the mountains to hike, horseback or boating, or a five minute walk to any type of retail you want. I would stay here every time we visit Monterrey as the experience was completely awesome.

I could say that it didn't start well. When I arrived, tired after 15 hours of travelling, 12 of which had been flying, I needed sleep like never before. I was given room 2612 on the top floor of the hotel and then discovered that I had left my toothbrush and toothpaste in England. Silly me, and all credit to the hotel. Within five minutes a man arrived at my door with a toothbrush. Minutes later I decided to take the lift down to the front desk in order to buy some toothpaste. After cleaning my teeth I clambered into bed only to realise that a deep, pulsating sound of machinery was going to prevent me from sleeping. How anybody on the 26th floor can sleep, I don't know. I called reception again and within five minutes another man arrived and took me down three floors to a junior suite with automatic curtains. The sound of machinery had disappeared and I fell asleep. So, hats off to the Real Inn for their quick responses. The rooms are of good quality. The bathrooms are amazing, equipped as they are with rain showers and everything you might need for a decent wash in the morning. The bed, incidentally, was huge and certainly wider than it was long, but I slept well even if jet lag woke me up at an ungodly hour. On my first night I awoke around 0355hrs; on my second I managed 0444hrs and as soon as I've written this review I'll hit the sack and we'll see what time I wake up tomorrow. Last night I had a full eight hours sleep as I went to bed early, around 2100hrs. And then, of course, there's breakfast. The great leveller, the chief benchmark, in my opinion, of whether a hotel is good or bad. The Real Inn passed with flying colours. There was such a variety of hot food. For the first two mornings I opted for scrambled egg with diced potatoes followed by a yoghurt and some cereal and a couple of small pastries, not forgetting the vanilla tea. This morning - and yes I'm still in the hotel as I write this review - I thought I'd go the whole hog and have a Sunday roast. Yes, it's possible! I had roasted potatoes and chicken and there were vegetables blended in with the potatoes, so it was authentic enough. I won't lie, I'll probably do the same tomorrow. I had lunch in the restaurant yesterday (arrabiatta) and just now I had dinner (salmon fillet with vegetables). Both meals were perfect and what made them great was the music and the environment. First, the music: sixties, seventies and eighties, stuff like So Lonely by The Police; the Rolling Stones, Pop Music by M, Abba, the Doors, everything and all the original artists too. Yesterday, as I ate the pasta in the heat of the afternoon, I was taken right back to lazy holidays in European resorts and just a second ago, when I was tucking in to the salmon I just felt good being there, by the poolside, alone with my own thoughts, looking at the city at night and the houses on the hillsides twinkling in the early evening darkness. There's a pool and I enjoyed two excellent swims. There's a gym

The first time I went to check in, the location was in the center of the city, and the surrounding area was very prosperous. There were shopping malls nearby, shopping nearby and business meals were all satisfied.

I was rushing to attend a wedding at the Hotel SAFI Metropolitan that is next, and despite the neighborhood, it was very difficult to find the salon, as it was necessary to pass a shopping center, to raise an elevator to floor 4, to get out to a parking station, and then walk to another lift that climbs up to floor 7. The phone didn't work to call the reception, which I had to report by phone several times, and after two hours they were to change the cellular batteries to the phone to work. The bathroom had several water leaks, and as the door of the bathroom was not closed well, the bathroom and the closet area were flooded.

The hotel itself is very nice. Pretty, clean, and kept well. The rooms as well, Were great; simple yet clean, comfortable, with great views and comfy beds. Even the bathroom was pretty. When you check in, they give you these vouchers for you and whoever is staying with youfor breakfast. So, if you forget it, lose it or just simply don't have it, you can't eat. Breakfast was pretty decent though, a combination of a continental and Mexican breakfast. Plus, staff in the dinning room were very nice and helpful and that is always appreciated, especially early in the morning. Wish their front desk was the same. Their parking is a bit strange in my opinion since they don't have one on site and instead you have to park in a shopping centers garage. I tried to get help from one of their front desk personnel and the look of annoyance on this guys face just irked me, especially since I approached him as polite as possible. At one point, he laughed at us when we told him the instructions he was giving were not making sense. In the end, I assumed he felt us being annoyed and just took a deep breath and drew us a map but even while doing so, was condescending with his tone. Not the best experience. There is a shopping center next to the hotel with stores, restaurants and coffee shops but for the most part, you'll need a car to go elsewhere since there was nothing else nearby. Again, beautiful hotel but not the nicest front desk reception at any point in the day.

This is a nice e hotel, with a great interior design, and very comfortable spaces. Located in Valley Oriente mall in San Pedro, NL, its a great option if you are visiting Monterrey, as is conveniently located and in a very secure area. There are plenty of dinner options nearby, and the site restaurant and bar are good options as well. The only but i see in the room design is that the water closet is not completely enclosed.
