GGuest UserWe were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended.
The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour.
The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

11860089****Traveling to Wuyishan during the off-season was wonderful; the autumn scenery was absolutely stunning with everything golden-hued. I specifically chose a guesthouse to better appreciate Wuyishan's natural beauty. Shuizhuang No. 8 Guesthouse is truly nestled within a park, offering distant mountain views and a close-up look at the river while you sip tea and admire the ginkgo trees right outside your door. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the surroundings are also quiet and comfortable. It's conveniently located with great transport links, and both the dining and accommodation are excellent. The service is warm and courteous, and the staff are very prompt in providing assistance. I'd highly recommend staying here over a hotel!

I received a free room upgrade, which included a bathtub and a wet/dry separation in the bathroom.
The guesthouse lobby has two adorable cats, a British Shorthair named 'Jinbao' and a Golden British Shorthair named 'Zhaocai'. Zhaocai is quite a rebel and will playfully swat at anyone, but Jinbao is super friendly and lets you pet her as long as you have cat treats.
The overall accommodation environment was fantastic. What was even better was their restaurant. We stayed for two nights and had all three of our main meals at the guesthouse. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly suited our taste buds.
In contrast, many restaurants within the Wuyishan scenic area can be hit or miss ā I won't name names, but there are just too many 'influencer' spots.
Right across the road from the guesthouse is 'Impression Dahongpao', which was a great show to catch in the evening. A short walk further is the Tea Culture Park, and if you follow the path deep into the park, you'll find a famous walking trail. Every weekend evening, there's a band that performs there for free.
On the morning we went to the Wuyishan National Park, we even borrowed a traditional bamboo hat from the guesthouse, which was a fun experience.
The only slight downside was breakfast; it wasn't quite to my liking as it was a bit greasy and salty. So, on the second morning, we went out for Zixi noodles instead.
The soundproofing in the room could be better; I could hear conversations in the hallway in the morning, but it wasn't a major issue.
I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserA delightful surprise during my trip to Wuyi Mountain! Guanlan Shuyuan is nestled along the Chongyang Stream, offering breathtaking views of lush mountains and clear waters right from the window. The designer villa style is incredibly photogenic, and the private balcony is perfect for enjoying tea and the scenery. The whole-house smart system is super convenient. The bedding was so soft, I had a great night's sleep. Housekeeper Xiao Chen was very attentive and even brought welcome fruits. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Wuyi!

AAnonymous UserWe received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

I booked this B&B with a positive impression. I'm also very satisfied with the tea room on the sixth floor, which is open to guests staying at the hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent, convenient location right in the heart of the Sangu Scenic Area in Wuyishan City, making it super easy to grab a bite or do some shopping. As for the environment, the hotel has many rooms spread across A and B buildings. The cleanliness is top-notch; the rooms are very clean and comfortable. A major plus is the air conditioning ā it's completely silent and even has a sleep mode, which is fantastic! This is definitely a great choice for a resort-style hotel.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, right within the Wuyi Mountains scenic area, about a 10-minute walk from Wuyi Palace, making it convenient to get everywhere. The hotel's overall environment is beautiful, and it has all the amenities you could need, including a washing machine, dryer, and vending machine. They even provide laundry detergent in the bathroom, which is a very thoughtful touch. Plus, the staff here are very friendly and accommodating; when I asked for water, they generously gave me two bottles.

CChenmeijia 1Choosing this hotel in Wuyishan was absolutely the right decision! We were traveling with elderly family members, and the front desk staff proactively helped us plan our sightseeing routes in the scenic area. They also recommended some authentic local restaurants tucked away in the alleys, which we thoroughly enjoyed and found to be delicious. Our room was spotless every day, and yesterday when I requested extra hangers, they were delivered within minutes of my call. My mom especially loved the Wuyi Rock Tea eggs at breakfast. We had such a comfortable stay that we extended it for another two nights. I've already recommended it to my friends, and we'll definitely be staying here again next time!

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. Itās off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients.
Itās one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesnāt speak English at all but theyāre very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch.
The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi wonāt be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the parkās buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didiās plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.
