"The guesthouse is conveniently located at the entrance of the ancient city, making it easy to get around. The courtyard is beautifully landscaped. The facilities truly reflect the owner's dedication; it's a three-story building with an elevator, and the decor and amenities are new, smart, and spotlessly clean. Even the toiletries are made of wood – fantastic! 👍🏻 The service is also excellent; they thoughtfully provided pick-up and drop-off service from the station and breakfast. My stay was comfortable and hassle-free, offering better value than branded hotels. Definitely my next choice! 😊"

The wooden carved doors and windows have the charm of old time. The courtyard is clean and elegant. The window is the pastoral scenery. You can smell the fireworks in the morning, and the night is particularly quiet. The rooms are cleaned, daily necessities and bedding are changed for each guest, the facilities are complete and intimate, and the stay is particularly comfortable. The boss is warm and thoughtful, will patiently recommend the food and play routes in the village, and will also share the old stories of Mabang Village, the atmosphere is superb. The surrounding area is very close to the mosque and the Majia Courtyard. It is convenient to visit the ancient village, experience the intangible heritage, and eat specialties. At the beginning, I also saw that there were beautiful yards and animals in the evaluation, and I chose this homestay. Thank you Wang Jie's family for their warm hospitality. We upgraded the balcony room. The room was a bit small. Fortunately, the balcony was big enough. Our two big boxes were on the balcony. The room gets the sun every day and it is warm at night! In the morning, I cooked porridge and eggs for the baby. I cooked two good dishes for us before leaving. It was so pleasant to sit in the yard and eat! The location of the homestay is also good, and the pedestrian street is at the end of Wenhua Lane. Lushan is antique and simple, the weather is good, come back next time! But Caobaoshan has to reserve a day to take dry food up the mountain, we climbed for an hour and a half with the baby on our backs, not enough fun. There are also Nanxun Museum and Wenhua College not allowed to enter at 4 pm. Our baby is too late to finish the afternoon tea after taking a nap. If you bring a baby, these two places have to be arranged in the morning.

Amidst the fragrant tea, he brought out Yunnan ham pastries carefully selected from Dali—the flaky crust layered distinctly, the savory-sweet ham filling leaving a lingering aftertaste. Next, he brought out his homemade rose vinegar, the amber liquid floating with rose petals, perfectly balanced in sweet and sour, with a delicate floral fragrance. Most touching was his willingness to share fresh fruit he had just bought from the market; this unreserved hospitality instantly dispelled the fatigue of our journey.
Thoughtful Design, Two Types of Mattresses for Comfort
The room's decor reflected meticulous attention to detail. Two types of mattresses, one firm and one soft, were specially provided to cater to travelers with different sleeping habits. Our room had a tatami area, where we nestled to enjoy tea and read after being awakened by the morning sun. The morning light filtered through the window, casting dappled shadows on the tatami, making time seem to slow down.
Convenient transportation and hassle-free parking. There's a dedicated parking lot right next to the courtyard, and the road conditions from the main road are excellent, making it easy even for first-time drivers. This convenience made us feel very comfortable with our luggage.
As we left, the owner stood at the door waving goodbye, like seeing off a family member on a long journey. At Youguang Courtyard in Weishan, you gain more than just a peaceful night's sleep; you gain a memory illuminated by light. It turns out that the most precious thing on a journey is encountering a ”home” that makes you forget you're in a foreign land.
Here, light is not just a natural gift, but also the warmth flowing between people. If you come to Weishan, why not step into this Youguang Courtyard and let your body and mind dwell in the light?

FFaiza LeithTo escape the frenzy of Kunming ancient town, we took a 2.5 hr train ride to Weishan - an authentic, uncommercialized old town with the splendid Yuan Chuang Yi Su hotel.
The bed is super comfortable, and the window seat great for relaxing after a truly hot shower. Sanitized towels are delivered daily in sealed bags and CGTN for foreign guests is available on a huge TV!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su's owner is a Mensch. His fluency in English and passion for his adopted town enriched our China trip. He sensed my vegetarian needs and whisked me off to the local market!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su is the smartest, but the least expensive of our 28 day trip in Guangdong - Yunnan.
We relished the smart set-up, the gleaming interior and delightful neighborhood of eateries.
The hotel is truly a train-rider's dream: just 25 minute walk away from Weishan Railway station and 5 minutes from the inexpensive tourist buses that take you as far as Weibaoshan and East Lotus Village.

There is a free shuttle service between Weishan Station and the hotel. When booking, if you tell them your high-speed train time, they will pick you up on time, and when you return, you can ask the front desk and they will take you back to the station.
You need to walk about 15 minutes to Weishan Ancient City, a tourist attraction.
The room was clean and very spacious, and you could control the curtains and lights with your voice.
The toilet and shower room were separate, and all the necessary amenities were provided.
If you are going to Weibaoshan, you can buy advance tickets at the front desk, which are cheaper than same-day tickets, so I recommend buying them in advance.
