Although no meals are provided, the shopping street in Atami is nearby, making it easy to buy and eat. The boss was very enthusiastic and found that we were crowded, so he arranged for us to stay in his other hotel."

EeXoxideZNot recommended for a newbie. Check-in procedure was really complicated for foreigners, making a call to the host to get the password of the key box. Without Japan number I contacted the host by e-mail in Japanese instead that took some time. 500 yen onsen fee is compulsory. You need to pay more for a towel or amenities. The room and communal area with a small kitchen was good.
