Hotel Suba Palace Near Gateway of India

Great location, lovely clean hotel, reasonable price and fantastic staff . Had a lovely 1 night stay while travelling through Mumbai. Had to leave before breakfast but staff brought me a 6am coffee to see me on my way . Highly recommended by me.

⚪︎Good points - Staffs are helpful - Good location △ Shower room - Shower head faces at the toilet seat and there’s no separation. Toilet seat and the floor get soaked every time you take a shower.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The staff are welcoming and efficient. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is included and consists of a wonderful buffet. Room service is 24 hours . The location is superb, near Gateway of India and Colaba Causeway shopping. I highly recommend the Suba Palace Hotel.

Linens are dirty, there was one hour power outage in a hot summer day without any backups, bathroom are smelly and shower had no pressure. There is only one lift which is also used to transport cement bags ***** with customers (to construction area which obviously means noise throughout the day). My wife complained that patrons don’t even use tongs to grab food in the buffet and staff wasn’t enforcing it either.

This review is a long time coming…we stayed at Hotel Suba Palace way back in April 2024. The hotel location is excellent - right in the heart of Colaba, a 3-5 minute leisurely walk to the Gateway of India. There are some excellent restaurants with a a 5 minute walk. Enough about the location! We got a room on the 5th floor - the room was well furnished. It was a little small than what we used to but really nothing to complain much about. The bathroom was nice, and I must mention the water pressure in the shower - it was great. The breakfast was a huge spread of Indian and continental items plus made-to-order items, including baked goods. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty. We checked in very late in the evening - around 11pm. The service provided by the person who checked in was superb - very friendly, welcoming, and efficient. I had a number of questions and he was the most patient person, even when I found myself asking similar questions on occasion. Given the quality of the hotel, I would rate this hotel as excellent value for the price paid.

Very poor hospitality and unprofessional staff. Will definitely not recommend as i had a terrible experience.

Hotel Suba Palace employees are very welcoming and cooperative. Their AC rooms are equipped with all basic amenities. Freshener smell is very high in breakfast area. Nice stay experience for those who want to stay near the gateway of India.

It was an amazing experience. The food was very tasty, and the staff was welcoming. Rooms were clean and good housekeeping service. Only one suggestion, if they can keep a power backup, that will be helpful in case of a powercut. Otherwise it was just excellent.
