Hotel looks nice on the outside but you’ll see lots of thing waiting for you. When we arrived in the hotel we see that the people who are working at reception were nice but doesn’t give the basic information about the hotel unless you ask lots of questions. Nothing was explained. Then we switched to our room by ourselves and found out there was a bottle of water which already had been used. Thankfully the Bellboy helped us and solved the problem, we appreciate him. He is the guy who saves receptions lack of information and lack of interest. After relaxing a little we decided to have some air at the restaurant area which is the only place that has open area. But no one cares what you asked or even doesn’t bother coming and asking you as if you’d like to have something. And that’s our first 30 minutes unfortunately. We booked for 3 nights and we’ll see what’s going to happen next. Maybe it’s just our experience.

Recently stayed at the Grand Millennium in Muscat, Oman. Having driven from Dubai, on arrival there was no valet parking but the Porter was instantly present to take care of the luggage which was efficiently dispatched to my room. Mr Ashraf at check-in was exemplary and continued to be so for my 14 day stay. I had initially booked a club room and Arhab, the chief steward in the Club Lounge, was very helpful and delivered excellent service. The Grand Millennium has a roof-top pool with fantastic views over Muscat City to the Gulf of Oman on the horizon. There is also a poolside bar (where Amy the bartender gently delivers fresh, cooling watermelon to your sun lounger) and an impressive roof-top tennis court. Mr Wilson the friendly Spa Manager can arrange swimming lessons and tennis coaching. Whilst I didn’t take advantage of the lessons, I did use the gym, the jacuzzi and the steam room/sauna on the ground floor where I was warmly greeted regularly by the effervescent and kind personality that is Safiya who would also present me with a complimentary bottle of water for my workout. The room itself is a good size. The bathroom has a separate bath and a walk-in rain shower. Housekeeping is attentive and efficient, both Mohammed A & Mohammed I were very helpful. The breakfast buffet requires some attention, it was lacking in content and not very inspiring. The breakfast service itself was also equally uninspiring. In this mediocre environment two individuals that stood out were Sultan and the lady chef, both were excellent and on point. The hotel links directly via a short indoor walkway into the Muscat Grand Mall where there is a food court with an array of international food outlets and a number of coffee shops and cafes. There is also a Carrefour supermarket in the mall which sells ready to eat hot food and snacks. The Al Rifai nuts concession in the Grand Mall is worth checking out. Oman Avenues Mall and a LuLu Hypermarket are within a short walk. The LuLu also serves ready to eat hot food/snacks. If you have your own transport the local drive-in cafe/fast food establishments are pretty good and deliver a hot cup of Karak Chai directly to your car. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay at this hotel again.

The location next to Panaroma Mall and Grand Mall is impeccable. There are Subway and coffee shops nearby. The hotel lobby is grand. There are many seats. Convenient to meet customers. The room was clean. new. Excellent service. The only drawback is that the meals are too expensive. (It's not too expensive, the hotel standards in Oman are like this. Breakfast is 6 Oman.) It's cheap to eat outside the hotel.

I am very regular guest in your hotel. Amazing facilities and all the staff is also very king and helpful. I will like to special thanks to Janhavi and Amjad from reception for their great service. Pool is very nice and gym is also nice. Will see the staff soon again

It was terrible experience I had on this property (citadine al ghubrah muscat) I was traveling almost 24hours for holiday vacation, I selected this hotel to stay since near by the aiport, unfortunately I chosen the wrong hotel, upon check- in the lady receptionist asking me a full payment for the stay, I have no enough cash omr. But I have $ dollars with me, the total cost of my stay is only omr. 22 I have 15 omr and the rest 7 omr. I will pay by dollars, I informed the lady receptionist that I will pay the rest with $ dollars, she said that the hotel will not accept $ dollars, I was explained to her that I just came from the aiport and I was so tired shall I pay the rest by evening I have to exchange my dollars outside, or my cousin will come by evening and pay the rest of the amount cost of only omr. 7 or else I will quarantine my id or passport to keep , I will exchange the dollars outside by evening , but she refused me to check in, now I realize the discrimination /criticism,I decided to walk out and check in to other hotel, thank God other hotel very considerate not even asking the deposit even id's qurrantee, will I hope other guest will not experience the same treatment that I had experience , you have to improve your hospitality and service, especially front office staffs, never ever to booked this hotel anymore,many hotel choices in Muscat. Clean, cozy, new, fresh. The swimming pool is open. Nice fitness room. The rooms are comfortable. Very simple breakfasts, this is rather a minus. To comfortably get to and from the hotel, you definitely need a car or taxi. There is nothing within walking distance. Slippers and bathrobes are not included. Minor shortcomings in cleaning.

Chammod pool attendant welcomed as with warm regard and assisted with anything we need,in the gym amazing gentleman called Muhamed , he was always there anytime we needed something. Very professional. Amazing experience can’t wait to come back.

When faced with a 14 hour layover in Muscat from Turkey to Melbourne, Australia via Kuala Lumpur you start looking at airport lounges and other alternatives. I had checked into options before we left Melbourne and found this hotel. When the business lounge options didn't work out as planned this was our choice and it worked well. The Aerotel Muscat Hotel is inside the airport and caters for people who are not leaving the airport and who only have carry on luggage. We approached the reception and found that booking online was cheaper but their advice onto what options they had were invaluable. We chose to rent a room for 12 hours and take half board. We chose breakfast (6-10) and dinner (from 7pm to 11 pm). By 9am in Ramadan the hot buffet had nothing out but they made us an omelet and scrambled eggs on request with sausage pieces, baked beans and hash browns and there was so much we couldn't finish it. Sliced bread and toaster was available and self-serve juice, tea and coffee with slices of carrot and banana cake for desert. Dinner was from options of a set menu again cooked individually. It was a lot cheaper and a lot tastier than other airport offerings. Our room was a garden view room though I gather others may look over airplanes flying in and out. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep well during the day. There were only two pillows supplied but I could have asked the front 24 hr reception for more. There was a cupboard with hanging space and you don't need much more luggage storage. We also had a desk with comfortable chair if you needed to work and a couch as well as coffee and tea making and two free bottles of water but no mini-fridge. The large wall mounted TV looked good but, despite three attempts by technical staff, we couldn’t get it to work properly. It wasn't a priority for me who just wanted to sleep but for my husband it was more important. It had nice lamps and ceiling lights and good power and charging points. The central cooling (heating) worked well. I liked the design of the bathroom which was a very modern circular design with the toilet on one side and the shower on the other with the sink basin in between. It had hot water, good water pressure, shampoo and shower gel supplied as well as shower cap and dental kit. There was more in cupboard with the safe including a comb and body lotion which I took a while to notice. There were only one set of towels so we requested extra which we got quite quickly. There were no full length mirrors.
