The hotel was definitely a bit dated , but we had a great room , very clean and comfortable and large king bed on the 12th floor. Staff were very friendly ! I was concerned about negative reviews about people getting refunds for cancellations, but took a chance anyway , glad we did . I booked directly with wyndam and the price was reasonable , would definitely stay here again !

The West Side YMCA is definitely a no frills place to stay, but the location is excellent. You're right next to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Times Square is an easy walk south. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first had a bunk bed and was quite small, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. It also had a small TV and fridge. We had a semi-private bathroom, which was down the hall. This meant we had to scan our key on one of the bathroom doors to get in, but once inside we had privacy while we got cleaned up. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were able to upgrade the second half of our stay to a room with a larger bed and an in room bathroom. Again, this hotel is no frills. It can be rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym, the pool, the sauna, and stuff like that, but they looked nice. I'd recommend the West Side YMCA. If you're visiting NYC, you should be out doing stuff, not sitting around the room. It was everything we needed it to be.

It can be said that this small hotel has everything except no elevator. The room comes with slippers. The air conditioner is not a window machine after all. It is very quiet and the bed is very comfortable. Although the room is small, there is a safe and a refrigerator. , the most important thing is the excellent location, it only takes less than 5 minutes to walk to Times Square! The front desk staff will also deliver luggage to the room. If you donât have elderly children, I highly recommend this hotel!

City view, you can see the Manhattan downtown building, it's great across the sea. Three stars level. Good food. Breakfast is $50 and you can order whatever you want, no waste, enough for three people.
The only drawback is that you have to take one stop to Manhattan, but the cost performance is super high. Manhattan is too expensive and the house is old. This place is very new.
But the sound insulation of the house is too poor.

We were at this hotel for one night. There was a power failure which affected the hotel, and of course, this was not the hotel's fault, although it did result in inconvenience and discomfort to our stay. In addition, some guests were having a noisy party just outside the front entrance which was loud enough to keep me awake in the middle of the night -- our room was a few floors up overlooking the party. I felt that we deserved either compensation or credit for a future stay at a Hilton property, so I went to speak to the manager in the morning. However, there was a long line of people waiting to complain to the manager, and we had to leave, so I didn't get to speak with him. I subsequently emailed the manager 3 times to ask for compensation and he never replied. I called 5 times and the manager was supposedly never there. Finally, I spoke to the assistant manager. He listened attentively assured me that someone would get back to me. That was two weeks ago. I am very disappointed in this poor customer service and unprofessional behavior of their managerial staff.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is convenient for entry and exit. The front desk staff has a good attitude. The hotel environment is good and breakfast is included. Coffee is available 24 hours a day on the first floor. The room is not large and the sound insulation is average. In the middle of the night, the sound of water and sounds outside the corridor can be heard.
SSereen Teoh Room is ok. Location is superb. Cleanliness & Services need significant improvement. Call for all services need to wait for a day. Cannot tolerated the 5 stars hotel like this. Will not recommend to stay there again, as not value for money.
GGuest UserMy check list for a hotel: Good mattress, good pillows. Check. Clean room with adequate space. Check. Small table, a desk space, a good-sized bed. Quiet. Definitely check and that shouldn't be taken for granted in NYC. Decent gym. Check. And no crazy glitches. Yep, plenty of elevators, good water pressure, the HVAC worked fine etc. etc. I thought the staff was friendly and proactive -- I requested coffee capsules -- they arrived quickly, a lot of them, and some water bottles just in case I was thirsty. I wish they would just put coffee machines in rooms instead of having to ask for one, but it's not very hard to ask. Bonus points: I showed up at noon expecting to have to check bags but a room was available so that made things nicer. Some others seem to be complaining about lack of room service but that was working when I was there.

The hotel service is also very good. Hair dryer and coffee machine were sent to the front desk by phone. The room was clean and tidy.
It is basically full, causing the elevators to be very tight and need to wait. Some rooms in the hotel are a bit old-fashioned, and the details such as the corners may not be very beautiful. Let's see if someone pays attention.

TTravelTheSkyCheck in was seamless and kind. Throughout the hotel staff was very kind and always helpful. We stayed there while seeing two Broadway shows and it is a great location for this and access to the park. Did not have any food but noticed the store/cafe on the first floor had incredible waits and very slow staff on a Friday morning. Waited a while for a cup of coffee but eventually gave up. As a former f&b person it was disappointing to see the pace and approach of the kitchen/counter staff.

I asked for a room that had not recently had a pet stay, because of my allergies, and they actually took the time to check on that. Our ac was not working initially, but when I called, they fixed it quickly. The room was gigantic and smelled fresh but as others have said, the furniture is old. I didnât mind as the decor was nice, and it was clean, but the couch was disgusting and I avoided sitting on it. The kitchen and bathroom were in good condition. We took the advice to avoid peak elevator times and didnât have a problem, but that meant we had to get up earlier than we would have liked. We asked for a late checkout and got it; no problem. Overall, I thought the pluses outweighed the minuses.

I did not notice sound in my room despite being right in the center of action in Times Square. If you like being close to tons of people (I do) then this is a great spot. If you prefer a quiet spot, be aware of the proximity to all of the people. Based on the other reviews, I double checked my bill. The credit for food was not correct. They were helpful and fixed it after I asked. The patty melt was delicious! Overall I would stay again, but was just a little annoyed that I had to request that the bill be corrected. The room was clean and comfortable.

The shower is hot and abundant. Location is prime, walking distances to time square and central park, and with a railway station around the corner of the hotel.
