My husband and I were lucky enough to have a special event bring us out to Southern California. And though the event was being held in Burbank, we decided to stay in Newport Beach since we had never been there. We are so grateful and appreciative to have stumbled across the Lido House, which is such a special and beautiful property! As soon as you step through the doors, you feel like you're transported into a beautiful beach property, with gorgeous Ralph Lauren-esque amenities and beautiful guests dressed to the nines. We certainly didn't feel like we fit in, but the Lido House team still greeted us with open arms and treated us like VIPs for our entire stay. Even with special events occurring throughout the property all weekend long (wedding receptions, wedding rehearsal events, and special Food & Wine events), the Lido House team extended their hospitality and care and were always there for a quick chat, a funny laugh, or a recommendation that we so very much appreciated. While this review is much belated, it is not without immense gratitude and appreciation for the incredible team that Andre, Lido House's GM, leads and manages. First and foremost, Andre was the consummate professional who ensured our stay was seamless from beginning to end. He introduced us to Chelsea and Ekaterini, who went above and beyond to ensure our first-ever stay at Lido House was a special one. (Pro-tip--highly recommend advanced reservations to their beautiful rooftop bar, Topside--a lot of locals come to the bar and you will want to be sure you have seats so you can enjoy the incredible service, cocktails, and views!). We were also lucky enough to have outstanding interactions with Nick, Eduardo, Adam, and Lisa Marie, and Melissa. Having consistent hospitality and customer service from each team member from the Lido House is something that is very important to be noted--because with the busy summer season and special events occurring, it can be difficult to give each guest the appropriate love and care. Lido House made it look easy, and we really commend the leadership and team there for ensuring each guest's experience is a memorable one. I would be remiss if I did not also recognize the outstanding customer service from their Operations Manager, Nick, who actually followed up with us after our visit because of an issue we had with our room. We reported it upon check out, and assumed the team would take care of the issue for the next guest. The fact that Nick followed up with us after we had returned home truly shows the kind of care Lido House has for its guests, and Lido House will absolutely be our first choice of hotel during our next return to Newport Beach. If you've read this far--might I also add--the hotel is within walking distance to great restaurants (Starbucks across the street + fabulous brunch options)...and a few blocks away you will find outstanding seafood on the water.
